In October I had won the Scrap n Pieces challenge so I was asked to be guest designer for this month … I was sent this lovely picture to be inspired by:

I loved the photo from the moment I saw it, because apart from the colours and things in it … I ‘saw’ the makings of a grid sketch as well ….
So I was inspired to make this:

I wanted to recreated the tray and its goodies, so I used a grided paper and stenciled with gold paint on it, to create my background, added a bit of bling to separate the parts … embellies, and voila!!!

The photo was taken last year, and a Christmas do that my friend Fifi organised for us every year!!! The holidays are so much happier when you spend some quality time with friends!!!!

This layout will actually go in last years Christmas book which I’m still working on!!!! 🙂

So why don’t you pop over to the Scrap N Pieces blog to see what the amazing DT have created for the challenge!!!
Thank you for dropping by!!!!

This month over at the Crafty Life blog there is an Anything goes challenge, and although originally I thought to enter with a mini book that is in progress, I decided to go with the following …
By the way, I’m thrilled to announce that I made their wall of fame for September!!! 🙂
Yesterday our clocks went back an hour, and instead of getting an extra hour’s sleep I was burning the midnight oil and getting an extra hour of creativity!!!
This entry is in my flexi smaller art journal …
There is a ‘self’ portrait … and yes I do see myself with ‘blue’ hair some day!! LOL … The girl is with a collage technique painted using acryllic paints, colouring pencils, and markers ….
I’ve used paper that I’ve gelli plated as well as masks with mists over that … then 3 D glitter paste with another stencil.
The glitter paste absorbed the colours underneath then I added gold patina paint over that, and it gave it a vibrant ‘rich’ effect.
With Simple Stories I am collection I added the quote, I am blessed, grateful, enough!
I hope you like my page, I know I enjoyed making it!!!
Have a great week everyone!!!

Morning everyone … where has this week flown to?
I have a layout that I created on Sunday to share with you … I’m entering it in this month’s Scrap n Pieces challenge which had a lovely mood board and the colour pink!
So here is my take on it:
The background paper is a piece of white cardstock that young hands have drawn on … I keep all my nieces and nephews drawings and recycle use them in my artwork as well!!!
The photo is of Raphaella’s shoes which she wore at my friends Katerina’s wedding in 2013 … I loved her chic shoes and just had to take a photo of them!!!
Lots of pink and bling, and shiny accents!
Close up of foiled stitch … in pink colour!
More close ups!
Well I hope you’ve liked my layout! Have a fab day everyone!!!

Today I have two more pages that I’ve been working on this week …
This was inspired by a class called Journal Soup by Kate Crane … I’m catching up with a variety of classes that I’ve signed up for!!!
This is totally me … using stuff on my desk, delli paper that I’ve gelli plated … a screen print that I drew over and enhanced … 3-d paint to add dimension!!!

Today is a special day for me! Exactly one year ago today I started my incredible diet journey! 365 days have flown by, while 41 kilos have come off!!!!
Through this year, I have not been alone … I have had fellow travellers, each achieving their own amazing goals, but they have been with me, supporting me, encouraging me, giving reality checks, and clapping all the way! It has definitely made the journey more enjoyable!
For this reason I thank them, and express myself thru this layout … inspired by Scrap N Pieces June Challenge to create with the theme "Real friends" Thank you ladies, you are truly beautiful inside and out!!!!
Diecut, masking with 3d paint, doodling with gold …
Some close ups!!!!

And just to give you a taste of my personal journey here is a before and after:
One year apart, in the same place!!! No need to say how much healthier and happier I am … goals can be achieved! Reach for the stars, life is too short not too!!!
