This is a little mini book that I made yesterday … it was inspired by a class on CarolinezCraftz Forum done a while ago by Sarah … that was where I first saw it done! 😀 Well, this is a much simpler version!
It’s made by recycling bathroom toilet rolls! Isn’t it a fab idea?
Close ups of the pages!
Both sides of the inner tabs … I used SarahCard’s July kit and a variety of stamping and embossing … have to thank Nancy and Katerina for their generous additions! 😉
Where did the week go? Where did the weekend go in fact? Time just seemed to pass by so fast … this week was filled with some mundane stuff like laundry, shopping, and paying bills … [but even so it was fun to have the time to do that stuff and not rush around! IYKWIM] … and some fun stuff, like meeting friends, going shopping to IKEA, going to a birthday party, scrapping and time for a coffee! 🙂
Aren’t they lovely … in July, just one tomato plant grew in one of our pots on the balcony, I was surprised to find 10 tomatoes growing when I came back from Naxos … on Saturday I cut these to send to my Mom so that she would get a kick out of them too … talked to her yesterday and she’ll be taking them to the twins so that they can see them too!!!
Just wanted to show you my new shelf with jars, and my magnetic rod with ad ons … I’m trying to reorganise my room so so that I can actually be inspired to scrap here … I tend to scrap either at the kitchen table or on a small table in the living room … but with Christmas only 93 days away, I’ll have to be limited again, [guests and family over] so I’ve decided to make my room more practical! 😀 😀
Have managed to do another 4 layouts last night for Shimelle’s Learn Something new everyday Class … Here is Day 10 & 11 … ooops, sorry forgot to crop the photos!!!
This weekend I went to see the performance of West Side Story on stage … 50 years since it was first on stage! This was the second time that I went to the Badminton theatre for such a performance!
The music was fantastic [there was a live orchestra], the dancing was out of this world!! So alive, so vibrant! Maria had a bit of a screech to her voice which was a little hard on the ears at times, but apart from that it was a perfect outing!!
Here I am with my cousin Anastasia taking a few photos as a keepsake! 😀
Isn’t it grand starting off your day doing something that you love? That’s what I discovered yesterday! I think it was the first time that I actually finished a layout before going off to work, and tonight, I actually finished one before going to bed!
I don’t know if I will be able to keep it up … but I will try!
Here is the cover of my new Mini Book … this was featured on UKScrappers during their Summer Bash Month … It’s actually 4 sheets of cardstock folded and attached together. I plan on adding photos from the Twins’ 6th Birthday to complete it, and then probably make another one for my Sister-in-law!
The papers are from SarahCard’s July kit and they are Crate papers! 😀 Yummy!
I thought I would make a list of those that I finally read and what I thought about them!
The Return by Victoria Hislop – Brilliant! She’s a fab writer and it’s set in Spain during the Civil war, a topic I knew nothing about and loved learning about!
Between You and Me by Kirsty Scott – Fab read, light, but very human!! 😀
Villa Serena by Domenica de Rosa – Funny, girly book!
The Choice by Nicholas Sparks – I always enjoy his books, and their twists and turns!
Book of the Dead (Kay Scarpetta, No. 15) by Patricia Cornwell – Not one of her greatest, but better than the last one!
Late Night Shopping by Carmen Reid – A continuation and if you haven’t read any of her books check out her website … she’s a fab modern writer, writing about modern women and relationships!http://www.carmenreid.com/
The Children of Men by P.D. James – Futurist novel, VERY well written … don’t know what the movie was like, but I loved the book!
The Feast of Love: A Novel by Charles Baxter – Funny shorter stories that make up a larger picture … again, I don’t know what the movie was like …. 🙂
Dear John by Nicholas Sparks – Another good one from him!
