What is it that you want?

Just don’t give up on trying to do what you really want to do. Where there is love and inspiration, I don’t think you can go wrong.
— Ella Fitzgerald
Sometimes it’s hard to stay to a goal, especially when it’s long-termed, and sometimes we get so muddled into the everyday things that we get lost and don’t remember what we have set out to do. I guess the first thing is DECIDING what you ACTUALLY want and trying to stick to it!!
Having goals, and looking forward to something, ANYTHING, is very important … it gives us purpose!! So, I think we should define what this is, and go for it! Anything is possible, so aim for the STARS!!!

Spelling Bee Competition

I’ve spent the last few hours making this. I have an a junior class this year, and I was thinking of fun ways to reinforce their spelling … and I came up with a game! So I made this huge chart which I’ll take to the school. I’ve divided up the words they know in 3 different categories depending on their difficulty … they will get a sticker for each correct one … I’ll let you know on Wednesday how it went! 😀

Friday lunch and an extra special card gift!!! :D

On Friday after my morning class … I met up with friends for a quick coffee before going off to lunch with a special bunch of friends of mine. We make up a Stitch group, meeting at least once a month, sometimes more … a group of very talented ladies, having lived around the world: Canada, US, UK, Saudi America, Sudan, Australia ….

I’m the one in the middle! :-))

Here is the bag / card that I made from my friend Phopho who had planned and invited us out to lunch. I followed the instructions on the Fairies-with-Tude site. My friend Irini reminded me that we did have a template for the bag card itself, but all the magic was when you opened it … it forms pockets where you can insert small cards!!!

You can see, that I added photos to two of them and ‘friend’ sayings to the other two!! It was well received so I’m happy tha I made this. I’m thinking that it would also mak a Great Mother’s Day card. I think Mom’s friend paid the best compliment!!! ‘What a shame that it’s made out of paper!’ LOL

Okay, I’m off to a lesson now, hope to get a bit of scrap time later in the evening!

More goodies received and bought today!!!

These are the things that I picked up from the post office and at my local bookshop today … The stickers are from here the rest are from Carolinez Crafts and Crafts U Love … two of my fav places to shop! One package was the pre-crop kit for Carolinezcrafts forum … I have to get my thinking cap on to see what I’ll do with this because there is quite a lovely prize for the winner!!! LOL I also finally got my skinnimini alphabet which I’m eager to play with. Today and tomorrow I’m busy … I’m working partly on Saturday AND Sunday … so I’ll have to schedule some fun time for me!

Well, off to work now!

Another French fries box!

These boxes are such a great idea … 🙂
So here is the second one that I’ve made, one for me to keep … Last May I had attended a Christening … My cousin Chrysanthy and Billy were godparents to Zanis … [his mother is also a cousin of mine] … so it was all in the family as they say!

Here are the layouts of the cards included … I’ve become a pro at these boxes and I think it’s another way of telling a story.
Remember you can find the instruction on Fairies with Tude! While you are there check out this month’s instructions … you can make a cute bag … I’ve already done this, just have to decorate the inserts then I can share it here!

Happy Disposition

I am determined to be cheerful and happy in whatever situation I may find myself. For I have learned that the greater part of our misery or unhappiness is determined not by our circumstance but by our disposition.
-Martha Washington
Well, I may not live in the trying times that Martha Washington did, but I totally admire her attitude towards life!! I think positive outcomes come from positive happy energy within … and least this way you don’t drown in your own misery … so whatever the rough ahead, put on a smile and enter the battle looking towards the sun!!! 😀
