Member of the Badminton Theatre Society

This year I’ve discovered the Badminton Theatre … this is one of the Olympic Games buildings that have continued to be a venue … they’ve created a society and you can become a member and this gives you certain advantages … booking cheaper tickets is my main reason for joining …

Just this year I’ve seen Mama Mia, West Side Story and last night I went and saw Carmen … which was fantastic!!!! 😀 😀 So here’s a little video of the performances that are to come and have played this season …. I’m looking forward to Romeo and Juliet now! 🙂

Halloween creativity!!

Thanks to my friend and co-member on my UKScrapper’s group Paula and her paper pumpkins, I was inspired to do some Halloween decorations this year for my students. I have ONE A junior class this year, 7 adorable 7-year-old munchkins … and I thought they should get to know what Halloween is … here in Greece we do not celebrate this AT ALL!!

Of course I have fond memories of dressing up and trick-or-treating when I was a child …

Trick or treat,
give us something good to eat,
not too big,
not too small,
just the size of Montreal!

So I started with all of this!

… to make this!
I’ve run out of orange paper, and need to buy some tomorrow to make some more strips [don’t want to waste my Bazzill on this!]

… so that my students will be able to make this!!!

I used cuttlebug embossing folders, and made all the tags myself [inking/blending/stamping]

Hope to take lots of pictures of them making these, so that I can do a layout as well!

Get ready for the 25th tomorrow!!

It’s the 25th tomorrow and we have to take photos again for the album … I have a small meeting planned at my place … just a few friends … so it should be fun! 🙂
Unfortunately I still don’t have regular internet at home … still relying on my little White Knight, who has definitely earned his title … I just want my own internet, so that I can have a more reliable and fast connection!!

Hopefully it will be a creative weekend and I’ll have more to show you as the weekend comes!!

New member of my gadget family!!

Meet my new ‘friend’, my little ‘White Knight’ … that’s what I call this little guy …
I’ve had him for about 2 weeks now, and he’s been a life saver on several occasions …
proving his worth!!
Thankfully lots of people have their WiFi internet access unlocked so I’m able to log on even though I don’t have internet at home at the moment!!! 🙂
Have a good week ahead!

My Stamp Journal

Well, my stamp collection has grown a lot recently … so I’ve decided to use this notebook which I’ve had in a drawer for years to stamp all my images in it … this way I’ll be able to see what I have at a glance. It will take me a while before I’ve stamped all the images as it’s not at the top of my list of things that must get done!!

I’ve used a new technique here, masking … I’ve also finally got my hands on the blending tool and foam pads, as they do make the blending easier!!

Hopefully will have time to do more stamping this weekend!

Internet Woes

My connection is not working at home … as least for the last 3 days I’ve had lots of problems logging on … today I looked into changing servers … so hopefully by next week I will be able to access from home too … maybe that will mean that I will get more scrapping done this weekend … we’ll see!!! 😀 😀

Hope everyone is well!!!

Inspiration Stamped Minibook

Today I started and finished this little minibook.
I call it my inspiration minibook to remind me that scrapbooking is not only creating layouts but also playing and creating art. It was fun putting into practice a variety of techniques, playing and letting myself free with my inks, stamps and the heatgun!!
So here it is …

I’ve used a variety of stash … Distressed Ranger inks, waterpens, embossing powder, a variety of stamps: Hero stamps, Unity stamps, StampinUp, Fontwerks, and more!

Minibook finished!!!

Well it’s finally finished!

It has been soooo much fun finishing this off … I’ve added photos and lots of stamping that I’ve been working on this weekend …
I plan on giving this to my sister-in-law as a present … yes, I’m actually going to be giving this away! Am I crazy?
Some details of stamping … embossing in first photo, blending with distress inks and a Unity stamp in second, and blending, stamping with Unity stamps with water … the angel is from the September Unity Stamp kit … it arrived on Friday just in time!

The tree image is another stamp from the September Unity kit, and the little prince is from Tim Holtz collection which I’ve done on shrink plastic … that was fun!

More details … stamping, rub-ons, shrink plastic and stickers!

Stamping with joy!

I’ve been trying out a variety of techniques after being inspired by
Dan’s video tutorials. These are just a few of the things that I did yesterday … I’ve added a few already to the birthday book for the twin’s 6th birthday!!
