An Autumn Card

This weekend I created a card … it actually started as a thought for an art journal page, but in the end I thought it would make a lovely card to give to a friend!

Here it is:

PA210553

I’m playing along in two challenges:

Born to Crop – they have asked to make an autumn coloured card

Cheerful Stamp pad – Let’s stencil -  use a stencil in your ATC, card, art journal page

PA210554

I love making easel cards, I’ve used an stellar artisan stencil, stamped leaves that I’ve fussy cut and coloured in with distress paint, wood veneers again painted …

Here are some more photos:

I added glossy accent to some of the leaves & the birdies to give it more dimension and to make them pop!

Well, I hope you have a great day, and find some time to be creative!

L is for landscape

Well, we are almost coming to an end with the Alpha Challenges over at the Craft Barn blog, just 5 more letters to go!

This week, apart for the ‘L” we had a twist, we had to incorporate a window!!

Once I saw, the word landscape in my dictionary I knew exactly what I wanted to do:

PA200539

I created a city view, from within a house! :)  I drew the window with a black Sakura micron pen, I used a Crafter’s Workshop mask to create my scene ….

PA200540

A close up of the definition highlighted with water colour paints.

PA200541

The city scene is created with distress inks, but the window is water colours … I wanted a more ‘mute’ effect for the scene, like you were looking thru glass ….

PA200542

I used a stamp to create a background wallpaper effect, and even added a small painted over the definition, as if it’s hanging on the wall of the house!

Thank you for dropping by, and I hope you like this entry!!

Totally Awesome

I have another layout to share with you … I really love it when I have time to play!

Here is a photo of Micaelia and Katerina!

I misted on another piece of paper, and then cut it up to use as a mat. Added rubons to top and bottom and used white pen to doodle.

Pattern paper, and die cut.  Words are wood veneers by Kaisercraft, painted read, and doodled on with a white pen.

Sweet happy moments – AAG Challenge

Currently the Boy Meets Girl challenge is:

For our first AAG challenge, we challenge you to use texture on your pages/projects.  It doesn’t matter the type of texture you use.

My take on this is:

 pa150459

Myself and my niece Sofia!

For texture I’ve used 3D paste which I’m mixed with pink paint, some gold paint, and some dry embossing with my Martha stewart scoring pad, to give some texture …

PA150460

Close up of 3d paste and mask!!!

PA150462

Close up of rubons, paint, and scoring!

More close ups.

Friends Forever

I feel truly blessed for having people in my life.  Each one of us is so different and each friend is such a unique spirit that adds another shade a colour to my days and being!

I appreciate each person for being there, and bringing joy to my life! Just needed to say that!!!! 🙂

I have made it my goal to scrap more photos, to remember moments,  so that we can look back in our old age and say …. Ahhhhhh do you remember that????

PA130449

When I scrap for pleasure I like to play with the details, and try to add as much as I can …. I started off trying to see what the gold colour shine mist would do with a mask [bottom corner], then I started cutting it out, added paper and photo, added more of the same mask with distress ink  this time to balance it out …. and voila, a layout was born!!!

In the photo left to right:  My friend Zeffy, Elvira & I, at the Mall Marousi, back in April 2013.

PA130450

Used white pen, and glitter pen to highlight elements in the mask.

PA130451

Played with mist, and stamping with black archival to give more depth.

PA130452

With ink, I redid part of the mask and popped it up with 3d dots.

PA130453

A bit of doodling around the pattern papers!

It’s hard for me to draw the line and say when a layout is done …. I think sometimes I need to say enough or else I’d still be at it!!! 🙂

Thank you so much for dropping by, I enjoy your lovely comments!  I should make more of an effort to respond to them, but I never seem to have the time!!!

Mr Cool – AAB challenge

This is the first time that I’m taking part in the Boy Meets Girl challenge.

Our first challenge is the Grunge look.  We would like you to create a grunge or “messy” layout.

Well I had a photo of my nephew Dimitri that was crying out for a grungy look to it, so here is my take:

pa130442

I just love the cute hat that he’s wearing, he loved head accessories and loved being photographed with them … I think that’s so cool!!!! LOL The photo was taken this past Easter!

Top right corner of the layout … I’ve used some gears diecuts [thanks Zeffy], and I’ve made them grungy, using water colours and then a mask with archival ink.

PA130444

A close up of the gears … the background is a white paper that I’ve misted with the new Heidi swap colour shine mists [thanks Voula] using a new stencil and then stamping with archival ink!

PA130446

This little ‘face’ gear, is the favourite part of the layout … [thanks Nectar for your COOL advice], a but of washi tape, and rubons … and a bit of a gelli art tag peeking out to add a bit of colour!

PA130447

The title!

PA130448

Left side top corner, with two wood veneer arrows, painted and using a stencil to add dots!

Thanks for dropping by, and I hope like my layout!

Have a great week ahead everyone!!!
