Good morning … as the title suggests, this post is about a new blog hop going around called: A blog hop with a Difference , and the reason it’s different is because there’s no end to it! Let me explain…..
Last week I was tagged in the Blog Hop with a Difference by Aliki Cavras
I was honoured because I have known Aliki for a few years now, I consider her a true friend, a lovely person who thru her creative expression her love of life and her family shines through!
Today I share with you my contribution to the Blog Hop, including the three people I’ve chosen to carry on the banner next week. But I’ll get to that in a minute.
I’ve been invited to answer the following questions …
1. What am I working on right now ?
At the moment I’m on holiday and I’ve brought a few things to do,one of which is a mini album of my trip to Naxos this year. I confess that I haven’t done a lot as I’m busy collecting and making memories !
2. How long does it take to create a project?
When I start something it doesn’t take me long … I start with a thought, an idea ! On my way to work … As I run daily errands, I will be thinking of my layout or my art journal page … So when I actually sit at my desk … I know exactly what I want to do !
3. What are my favourite things I love to create with at the moment?
Here I will agree with Aliki and I will say diecuts and journaling stickers. It was actually thru Aliki that I’ve discovered this cute monthly Paper Issues kit that has a bit of everything!
4. How does my creative process work?
For layouts it’s all about the photo and the story. My photo has the be the focal point and then it’s about the creative fun. I love mixing mediums, paper, playing with little additions. I don’t generally hesitate or doubt what goes next … I generally go with the flow .
5. How do I become inspired and stay inspired?
I generally try to improve and move forward on this creative journey, so it’s usually other artists who inspire me, and getting together to create with friends … The creative aura seems to inspire me even more … Stay inspired ? Again even when I’m not in the mood , I’ll pick up my camera and go out … Try to find some interesting to focus on.
6. What is my signature style?
I don’t feel like I have a style. The thing that most of my layouts have in common is my love for finding the right title, words to tell the story.
Now it’s time to nominate three incredible ladies, whose creativity I admire as well as their character and busy lives!
Christina Vergadou is a friend who manages to do it all … take care of her lovely family, work full time and well as create lovely vintage feel designs. Beautiful romantic work, that is truly inspirational.
Nektaria Kazakopoulou a dear friend whose knowledge of art and design I value! I always ask her advice when I have an idea, or am stuck. Whatever she does is an absolute work of art!!!
Finally, Zeffy Konstantinidis who is a lovely friend and mentor, as she loves to share her knowledge. She was the one who started me off on my art journal journey, and I love how she incorporates everyday items in her layouts. They tell a story, and usually have so much detail.
Well I hope you will also be inspired, and visit these three lovely people. I look forward to reading their blogposts next Monday and seeing this bloghop continue!
Have a nice day everyone!
