Well, last day of August, and the last week has passed by so quickly …
The last few days on Naxos we visited as many places as we could, beaches and eateries, so it’s an advert double spread this time around!!!
As a base I used gelli arted delli paper … and I used washi tape down in the centre to separate the two sides …
As I was travelling and the book left two days before me, then my back went out, and I didn’t have the energy to journal that’s why some days are done together …
But I’m back on track, and doing my little bit every day!

I have a couple of more pages to show you …
This is a sketch of where we enjoyed to drink our coffee after our swim in Moutsouna … it’s cafe area of the Agerino complex. It’s right on the road, by the sea. Brilliant view and excellent coffee!!!
First time at the beach at Mikri Vigla, and I tried the capture the blue / green clear waters … There were some huge rocks to the right of the beach … very impressive …
This one was done right on the beach … I had to draw it, before diving into the water … then didn’t want to get out … LOL But when I did I enjoyed water painting it!
Today I’m back in Athens … and I plan to keep my Wednesdays are Sketch book days when I have something to show you …
September is the busiest month of the year for me, so I don’t know how much I’ll be able to keep up … but I will try!

Some ‘misfortunate’ news … the viewer of my camera has broken … this means that I can so longer SEE what I’m photographing, nor can I change any settings … so from this point onward, this mini, becomes even more of a challenge, and that’s how I choose to see it …
I won’t let myself get upset of it, if it’s too expensive to fix I will get a new camera later on, but I must say that I get surprisingly excited when I later see a ‘great’ photo when I download them to my PC …

It’s amazing how fast the days are passing and I have 2 double spreads to show you …
The first one you have already seen the base of it, so here it is, all journalled in:
The next one, started out with Dimitrakis hands and went from there ….
I’ve used Caran D’ache to colour in the hands and the rest is all water colours!
Another little face, that came out of nowhere … more tanned!!! It’s summer after all …
The quote is from a Social Psychology course that I am doing thru Coursera …
Some more water colour doodles coloured with black pen, and white marker …

Good afternoon … the days seem to fly by, and I’m totally enjoying myself … this year, after 4 years I’m actually swimming again … sort of a therapy for me, and an escape!
Anyway on to:
I’ve printed out until day 16 … so here goes:

Day 9
Tasoula & Thodori arrive … and no one is happier than little Dimitri!!!!
Day 10
A day spent at Moutsouna with the kids and the family!!! Lovely!!!

Even in the village, it’s happy mail day … Tasoula brought me some happy mail!!!

Yes, yes, this is me, and yes yes, I’ve been to the sea!!! 🙂

Yes, that’s right, not one but two entries for this letter for the Alpha Challenge, from my holiday home on Naxos!!!
But I have to mention that today is a special day in our family, as my nieces Sofia, Katerina and I have our BIRTHDAY!!!! So yeah to us!!!! ❤
Here we go:
This time around I decided to added photos … these dolls are so colourful and cute, and I see them every day at my aunt’s shop … so I had to include them ….

Left side: Once again I used my neo colours to create the background, then used a die cut piece and some heavy gesso to stencil it in!
Right side: It’s been a joy making these entries here …

Χρόνια πολλά, χρόνια καλά σε όλους σήμερα … Μεγάλη γιορτη και γιορταζει το χωριο μας με την Παναγία της …
Ειναι πολλοί οι φίλες, φίλοι, συγγενεις που γιορτάζουν σημερα … υγεία και χαρά!!!!
Another double page to share with you … I’ve got into quite a good routine here, and I’m able to manage my daily entries quite well, it’s never at a regularly scheduled time … but I try!
Another lady!!!! This time around with my favourite colour hair … blue!!! She was done only with watercolours … I’m really loving using my watercolours sooo much ….
I’ve just used my marker black pens for a few chosen points …
