Christmas Mini Books Galore!

I had made some samples for the Crafty Croppers lesson, so I decided to make even more to give my Junior A class students as a gift this Christmas!  I’m sure they’ll have fun filling them with whatever they want!
I’ve also done this Book, for a friend … haven’t decorated inside yet,
but it’s been fab to do, and plan on doing 2 more at least!

Crafty Croppers Saga Part 3- The Sponsors

You have to admire Irini’s organisational skills in rounding up amazing sponsors!
I think this is definitely her calling and it made the whole affair so much fun!
There were lovely gifts from [no particular order]:
Shimelle, Cocoa DaisyCraftsObsessions, Sarah’s Cards Ltd, Memories Trends, Sfragidomania, Centre Pompidou which were all either raffled out, or the Bingo prize …
but a special mention has to go to FOUR people …
First to Irini, who put together some fantastic kits, all organised in their own bags, individually prepared for the three of the four classes! I personally know the hours that had to be put in to get it all right for everyone!
Secondly to Chrysa from ProDePro Kalligianni, who included a lovely bag for EACH person which had a personalized Greek alphabet, die cuts, ribbons and flowers!

Then, there was Katerina and Effie from Sfragidomania, a new venture … their site is still under constructions but definite something to keep your eye on!  For each girl they had prepared a beautiful selection of goodies cut out in the Christmas spirit of different materials!  Rubber, wood, chipboard, and Plexiglas.

… and finally a special thank you to Katerina, who kindly gave each one of us the tags that she’s prepared and a special decorative handmade item for good luck!

Crafty Croppers Saga Part 2

Apart from my class there were three other talented women who were doing classes.
First up was Evdokia from Crete. We made a love envelop card with her.
I have never done one like that, and I enjoyed it incredibly.
The kit was lush, lovely Basic Grey papers, loved the bottle cap idea, and I believe this is a card that I will be making again and again!
Next up was Mary from Crete.
Another Christmas card, lots of layering which gives it a rich dimension.
The kit again was full of useful stuff, and lots of bits left to do more cards.

Finally we finished off with Elina’s class.
Elina is such a talented scrapbooker and we have a mutual admiration society going! LOL
The layout was all about the techniques, lots of tearing, inking, stamping, distressing, using gesso, painting! The photo I’ve used is a picture of my Mom and the newest member of my ever extending family: Dimitris Rizos.

Well that’s all that I created … will continue the saga with the gifts we got and photos from the Crop!

Crafty Croppers Saga Part 1

Yesterday was the big day!
Crafty Croppers had its FIRST crop.
Imagine this scene:
A room with 7 round tables, a central table for the classes, and a long table with coffee and refreshments.
Add to that 35 Greek Scrappers.
Voila, you’ve got yourself one great PARTY!!!
We had a blast, and I have so most to show you, so it will have to be done in pieces!
First off this is the result of the class that I taught … a little maze book …
and for our Greek friends who were far away or couldn’t attend HERE are the instructions!!
PS.  I’ve added them to the side, so anyone can find them!
Please excuse any spelling errors in Greek, it’s not my strong suit! LOL

You wouldn’t know it with the fab weather we’ve been having these days …
It hasn’t stopped me from enjoying my Toffee Nut Latte!!! Yum, yum!!!
I’ve been busy … putting together 11 minibooks and some more ‘tree’ books that I plan to give as gifts!!! 🙂
A very productive time!!!

Friends – A layout!

Another layout that I finished for the cybercrop … this was actually 4 different challenges … I got points for the tittle the border, the journalling box, and then for putting it all together!
It;’s all about friends … here I am with Giota, and Maraki and the Acropolis cafe!  It was so much fun to meet and we really got to do lots of chatting … I’ve used the BG Marrakech as I think it suits my blouse! LOL
The ‘friends’ title is a sizzix, and have to thank Katerina for that!
Some closeups!

… and a card!

In between the Cybercrop I’ve been writing letters to my nieces and preparing Katerina’s Nameday Card, and bought her present too … Since my brother and SIL are leaving tomorrow I wanted to get it done so that they can take it with them!!! 🙂
Here it is … not crazy about the cover … the stamp slipped … but it looks like the butterfly is in motion … and Katerina won’t mind! LOL

Class 2 – Over the Rainbow

Today, even though it was a busy day with shopping, coffee, lunch and napping,
I managed to get this done for the crop!
Love the idea of using ribbons, and Lord knows I have many of them!
So here goes, the full layout and some close ups!

Ready, Set, Gooooo!!!

The UKScrappers CyberCrop is off … and already ther are 2 classes and 3 challenges that have gone live!
I’m such a slow scrapper though … yes, I am because what I create I do it for fun and can’t rush myself.
So here is my first layout, for the class called Twist and Shout!
We had to do a number of techniques … and I must say, that I totally enjoyed doing it … check out the UK Scrappers Forum if you want the instructions for the class!!!
… and some more closeups!
