Good morning, I wanted to share the current project that I’m working on … It’s a DMC Needlecraft Miniature kit called Kitchen Window … Here is what the finished piece will be like:
The kit had the material, threads [that were not already threaded and took me forever to work out which was which] …
The wooden ready frame where my piece will be … 🙂
Here is what I’ve done so far … this is tiny, on 22 ct, using one thread …. it’s a strain on my eyes to do …
A closer look ….
See lots more to do!!! 🙂
Thanks for dropping by, and hopefully by next Sunday I will have more to show you! 🙂

Hello everyone … something new to show you and tell you about! The Craft Barn blog, is running another year long challenge … a 2014 Quotes & Lyrics challenge … You can read all the rules and how to play HERE!
I’ve decided to do it as a tag book, so at the end I’ve have a book in tag form with lots of quotes!
This fortnight we could choose from SMILE or UP … My quote is with the word smile:
A smile is a curve that sets everything straight. ~Phyllis Diller
Here is my tag:
The background is black gesso, mists, masking …
I’ve added a print I made on craft cardstock with my thermofax printing … and on one cardstock [the compass] … some washi, rubons, gems and a see thru diecut!
Close up on the girl.
Close up of the quote!
Thank you for dropping by!!!

It’s been a while now that I’ve been thinking about scrapping older photos from my own childhood, and thanks to this month’s challenge from Scrapbookers in Greece which is to scrap a childhood photo of yourself I’ve done it! 🙂
I’ve scanned and printed out some photos of myself, and with the guidance of Georgia Heald’s class on Pop & Colour II I’ve created the following layout!
I think my take of Georgia’s class is a bit ‘lighter’ as I went with a Christmas theme and used lighter colours … I’m the little girl in the photo, about 4 years old … at the Naxian Christmas fete that was organised. Santa is Ioannis Hatzipetrou my cousins godfather, who we had such great relations with!
Gesso, misting, 3 d paste, washi tape, many elements …
… splatter and sequence!!!
Another close up of me holding up my ticket … don’t I look so happy???
Side view!!!
Thank you for dropping by …

I’m back!!! :) Boy have I missed it … it was so liberating to art journal again … :) Here is my double spread of this past week:
I have really added a few layers of different things … I started with gesso, but down some paper, then misted / masked in 2-3 colours and designs … then added collage elements!
This girl is a thermofax screen from an etsy shop called Carolsloan once again … this is the second design that I got from her. I added some rubon elements to her …
My Gelliplate paper for collage … stamping, some tags … letter alphabet stickers.
Chipboard and letter stickers for the dates.
More collage elements …
I hope you’ve enjoyed my pages …
Have a great weekend ahead everyone!

Another ‘fun’ layout from the Pop & Colour I online workshop, this time class 5 by Kasia Krzyminska… very inspiring class although I did adapt it to my own needs!!!
My niece Katerina … what a beauty she is, so vibrant, so alive, so expressive … The photo was taken towards the end of October 2013.
I really needed some me time on Sunday… I really just wanted to play … so since I didn’t have a stitching stamp, I decided to do it by hand … yes, it’s all done by hand … :)
Gesso, neocolours II, die cut elements, chipboard elements … stamping [unity plaid for the background].
I think the whole technique really blending well with the pattern paper which is from an older Basic Grey collection! I think it’s time I stop hording my paper and use them!!
Well, thank you for dropping by!

Another ‘fun’ layout from the Pop & Colour I online workshop, this time class 4 by Lilith Eeckels … the moment I saw the class I knew which photos I wanted to scrap and how to best highlight the story!!!
During my visit to Naxos in October, the kids got a new drawing mat that when you added water it would turn blue, and I had the bright idea to introduce Dimitri to my mini mister!!! Being the little boy that he is, he wanted to do it by himself …
Being the auntie that I am, I let, and just sat opposite him and continuously took photos!!! 🙂
Watercolours, masking with 3d modeling paste, the splat is a stamp!
ChicTags – Love Note labels, Little yellow bike – Clear cut shapes
ChicTags – Journaling spot
Another close up!
Thank you for dropping by!
Have a great week everyone!!!

Another ‘messy’ layout from the Pop & Colour I online workshop, this time class 3 by Gaelle Ly … I did the class step by step, just changing one or two things … but I love the end result!
A photo of me taken in 1989, 1990 or 1991 … I don’t remember which year it’s from, as it was in an album without a date on it …
Elements from Heidi Swapp, Simple Stories and Echo Park. Masking, and a metallic ribbon upcycled from a Christmas gift this year!
The background was totally white, and I’ve tried to give the feel of the water, waves and sand …
I love the vellum diecut elements as they add, without looking the dimension …
Another close up …
I’ve been enjoying the Pop and Colour classes, because they definitely stretch me to challenge me, to use more of my stuff, and I confess I like getting ‘messy’ !!
I’ve also signed up for their Pop and Colour II, but I plan to do those once I’ve finished with the number I!!!
