The Best is Yet to Come

As I had written in a previous post … Paper Issues had an one line crop this past weekend! I was blessed to get away for the day on Sunday. A couple of friends and I decided to visit another friend Aleka on Aigina. Aleka has an amazing shop full of goodies that she and her daughter create.

Her workshop area is perfect to host a crop …

Here we are having fun:

Hello everyone, good evening …. still trying to keep up with my scrapping and I have a layout to share today …

For once it’s about my dear friend Aliki who I admire and find inspirational for many reasons!  So I was inspired to share the story of how Aliki stepped out of her comfort zone and created a mixed media layout!!!!

With this layout I’m taking part in two challenges, one is Paper Issues March Sketch challenge by using this sketch:

The last  time I blogged about my stitching was months ago … I had uploaded  THIS POST !

I’m happy to report that I’ve since finished the rug … I’m still adding the numbers to it, and Mom needs to sew the backing and sew a boarder for it, but it’s almost done!

Honestly, I love you everyday Layout!

Good morning everyone!

Another layout today … this one was done a few Sundays ago, at a friend’s house, I had taken a few things with me, and this photo of my niece Michaelia was totally inspirational.

P2231926

I’ve used two elements that I had premade, a tag with prima doll …. I added lots of doodling because I love this effect, and another take that I had gelliprinted on!

P2231927

Lately I’ve really enjoyed using die cut elements and stickers … it seems that it’s my first choice when I want to do a bit of shopping therapy, and of course lots of little bits from my Paper Issues kit.

P2231928

I live that lots of elements are see through, it gives so much more dimension!

P2231929

I hope you’ve enjoyed this layout … as much as I’ve enjoyed making it!!!

Have a great week!

Believe & Make Magic Layout!!!

Hello  everyone!!!! Happy Women’s Day today!!!!

It seems like it’s been forever since I last posted on here, and it definitely has been a long time.

I’ve taken a ‘small’ break from my creative outlet.  It’s been a matter of time, and devoting my energies to other things.  You see, I’ve been travelling on a long journey to getting better and fitter.  I’ve been dieting and exercising since June 2014.  I’ve managed to loose quite a bit of weight, 36 kilos in fact, and have increased my weekly walking to 26 kms a week!

I’m in a great place now, and finally feeling that I’m ready to get back into my creative groove!!!! I’ve done a few things that I haven’t blogged about, and have been reading challenge blogs again!

So to start up with, at a crop yesterday I created a layout with a photo of my niece Katerina!

The layout is for Scrap n Pieces March challenge:

"No one is too old for fairytales"

I was inspired by the quote:

So I made this layout.

P3082012

Katerina is such a believer, dreamer, and romantic soul! I truly hope that all her fairytales come true!!! 🙂

P3082013

The ‘make magic’ time, is a silk screen stencil kindly given to me by my friend Elina !!!! I added some personal doodling with a white sharpie pen.

P3082014

Stickers added to highlight …

P3082015

I used some 3 d paste and stencil for the background, it was so much fun to create along and with dear friends Erina (who was visiting from Crete) and Aliki … their creativity inspired me.

P3082016

I cut up a tag that I had gelli plated for added texture.

P3082018

Lots of the elements used were from my Paper Issues kit.  I get a little bag full of scrumptious goodies every month.

Well I hope you’ve enjoyed the layout, I know that I enjoyed making it!!!
