Crafting with the girls!
We both believe that it’s important for children to express themselves artistically and to have the opportunity to explore a variety of mediums. On Naxos, they attend art classes once a week with an artist who runs a workshop. Unfortunately Greek school curriculum does not include art, apart from in Nursery. So they’ve learnt that with Auntie Lena, [that’s me] they will always have fun, and do fun things … so what have we been doing the last few days ?
Well we’ve been drawing, making bracelets, stamping, playing with distress inks and masking, embossing, making candles, and making spoon fairies …
We are not finished yet, as they return on Monday and will leave on Saturday,
so we’ve planned to do more stuff! 🙂
So here are a few photos of their work,
and photos of them enjoying themselves!
Scrap your Day – December 25th!

a full memorable day!!!
Race with time!
and yes, everything is ready … I did it, I managed to get the house decorated,
the tree up, some of the presents wrapped,
Mom was good and had lunch and dinner prepared …
The girls, and Irini arrived at 3.30 George went to the port to pick up the car.
My room was off limits as I hadn’t managed to wrap all the presents
and my room was full of bags and more bags!
Merry Christmas!!

Blog Facelift
I’ve been admiring a couple of backgrounds on various blogs and then I see a little box in the top corner saying that Free Backgrounds and more at the cutest blog on the block … so I click it and what a surprise … a whole bunch of free backgrounds with easy instructions to add it on … so here is my new look for Christmas and I’m sure that I’ll be changing it often as I get bored with it! 😀 😀
Alive and Well!
I’ll be on holiday from the 24th to the 8th of January.
My brother and this family arrive on the 24th so Mom and I are very happy, as it seems that my Christmas wish will come true! 😉
I’m a bit behind with my Christmas Journal but I’m confident that I’ll catch up by the weekend!
Athens is still in an uproar … more protest marches [at least more peaceful ones], so the burnings and looting has stopped. Traffic is terrible, but it always is around the holidays.
Today I’m off to see a performance of RAIN and I’m very excited as it’s suppose to be magical …
and finally I’ve been recently awarded two awards!
One from Paula, thank you dear!
“These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.”
I’d love to pass this on to:
Paula
Irini
Trace
Marja
Ronda
Paula
Linda
Latharia
You are all VERY special to me!
