Yes and yes. You have to make "not stealing" more rewarding than stealing.

Yep, something with a strong, easily-identifiable scent is best for teaching nosework.

do you have a flirt pole? what do you think of it?

i got one today and was playing with my 3 year old male lab and 6 year old pup girl and my lab got really aggressive with her and i had to hit him off with it. how can i get them to play nicely together?
>>
>>2555962
Yes, I have a flirt pole. My dog loves it and it's a fun way to do impulse control games.

If your dogs are getting into fights over it though, it's not a toy that should be played with with both of the dogs at the same time. Take turns with them instead.

I've always been an /an/imal, I started on 4chan around 2005 when I needed some birds I have photographed identified, I also like to browse on /ck/, and whenever I'm lonely I go on /b/, ANYTHING goes after all. /b/ used to do good Caturday till someone keeps posting dead cats, but now that all the horrible people have gone to /pol/, /b/ is fun again.

I do browse pol, but it's the same clickbait posts over and over again, usually I only browse pol by searching through the archive after some major event.

So my prime board: /an/, my other board /ck/, sometimes I'm on /int/ to see international food.

Fictional animals thread?

I always loved animals in Star Wars, and pic related is probably my favorite. Though, those long eared horse things from EP VIII are pretty cool looking too.

>>
>>2555989
you've got that backwards.

there's scientific evidence that some breeds have stronger prey drive.

There's weak evidence that some breeds are more aggressive.

there's no evidence that some breeds are more intelligent.

The problem scientifically minded individuals will have with this is it all deals with BREEDS. Pit bulls aren't a breed.

fucking this
>>
>>2554507
it's pretty dumb. Mammals can give other mammals a plethora of disease and parasites. I mean hell snake owners already have a problem with mice giving their reptiles something nasty, and there is a whole class separating the two species. You're better off killing the mice and freezing it for a time to kill anything it may be hosting. Also safer to actually use feeder mice. Normally you'd think it would be common sense and that it's redundant to mention that, but you never know with /an/. You will save a lot of time and money if you just buy some pre killed frozen mice in bulk.
>>
>>2554507
Not a great idea.
Best case scenario, the cat catches it and makes a bloody mess.
What if the cat lets the mouse get away?
What of it was pregnant? What if it was harboring diseases or bacteria that could be harmful to you and your cat? What if your cat gets bit?
Just not worth the risk.
>>
If you really want to do something like that then just fill the bathtub with a little water, put a couple small fish in it and let the cat go crazy in the tub
>>
>>2555304

Discuss anything aquarium related here, including inhabitants, decor and issues.
Google is your friend.
Feel free to ask questions but know that there are a lot of resources out there that could answer your question a lot faster and accurately than /an/.
Make sure to include these things in your post before asking because we can't help you if we don't have the full picture:

-tank size (include dimensions, not just volume)
-parameters (ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, pH, GH, KH)
-any and all inhabitants + how long you've had them

it will get lonely but goldfish are far more social with humans than other breeds of fish as they are far more domesticated. be sure to give him things to do. They can enjoy TV. (no, seriously.)

I've seen angels come into the store looking like that before and as long as the water was kept clean they got better after a few days. If she starts deteriorating further I'd suggest a broad spectrum bacterial medication.

i'd go for some floating plants, they grow extremely fast and suck up nutrients well since they have access to air CO2. ludwigia arcuata, limnophila aromatica and vallisneria spiralis are some nicer plants that do really well in my low-tech tank.

Ill post a few more pictures in his memory, he was a total bro and a friend. Rest in peace Ping, you were the best rat to ever live.

well I believe that my dog has lymphoma, I'm broke so no money for vets.
What do I do for him to minimize the pain?
>>
>>2555997
If you describe it in more detail/provide more pictures i might be able to help. Judging by the picture it doesn't quite look like a lymphoma. It might very well be a neoplastic change but that doesn't mean that is has to be dangerous.

How old is he? How does it feel to the touch? Is it firm/solid or soft? Can you move it around seem to be attached deeply?
>>
>>2556022
I can't take pictures atm.
But the bulge feels like a "bag of fat" not something hard.
It's hanging and feels like it is attached to the neck tissue.

He's 12 years old, lately he's been sleeping the whole day, and I suspect that he might have diarrhea but I'm not sure honestly.
>>
HOLY SHIT I JUST NOTICED that he's injured and that's why his node is swollen. This happened before and my father cured him with antibiotics.
However, thank you very much I appreciate it.
>>
>>2556053
Well I guess you're in luck. But if the lymph node is large enough for you to see it he might have a serious infection that might require treatment. Keep an eye on his condition.
>>
>>2556064
Yes, for sure I'll.
It's an abscess formed from a fat accumulation in his arm near to his chest.
He probably hit his chest against something while trying to catch a cat, I'm gonna keep him from barking at stuff.
Also he's in pain that's why he's been weak lately.
He's been eating properly so there's no problem in that regard.
