>>2555662Yes and yes. You have to make "not stealing" more rewarding than stealing.>>2555744Yep, something with a strong, easily-identifiable scent is best for teaching nosework.
do you have a flirt pole? what do you think of it?i got one today and was playing with my 3 year old male lab and 6 year old pup girl and my lab got really aggressive with her and i had to hit him off with it. how can i get them to play nicely together?
>>2555962Yes, I have a flirt pole. My dog loves it and it's a fun way to do impulse control games. If your dogs are getting into fights over it though, it's not a toy that should be played with with both of the dogs at the same time. Take turns with them instead.
What acceptable canned, pup food can be bought at supermarkets in UK?
>>2556082Buy him fresh raw steaks and vegetables.

are there any statistics on /an/ons?
>>2550212/r9k/, /sci/, and /tv/
>>2550212I've always been an /an/imal, I started on 4chan around 2005 when I needed some birds I have photographed identified, I also like to browse on /ck/, and whenever I'm lonely I go on /b/, ANYTHING goes after all. /b/ used to do good Caturday till someone keeps posting dead cats, but now that all the horrible people have gone to /pol/, /b/ is fun again.I do browse pol, but it's the same clickbait posts over and over again, usually I only browse pol by searching through the archive after some major event. So my prime board: /an/, my other board /ck/, sometimes I'm on /int/ to see international food.
>>2549510bugs... easy on the carrots
>>2555681> /b/ used to do good Caturday/b/ was never good
>>2550212/g/, /gif/, /fit/,/sp/ and /his/
Fictional animals thread?I always loved animals in Star Wars, and pic related is probably my favorite. Though, those long eared horse things from EP VIII are pretty cool looking too.

>>2552614I'm just gonna leave this here
>>2555471You could see it swimming around in the sea in the background of a few of the scenes on the island where Luke lived.
>OH MY GOSH THIS IS SO MUCH WORSE THAN A BULLET ANT STING !!!!!!Will this man say anything to hype up his video?
THE BREED OF PEACE STRIKES AGAINhttp://wric.com/2017/12/15/sheriff-goochland-woman-found-dead-in-woods-was-mauled-to-death-by-own-dogs/defend why these hellspawn are not banned breeds
>>2552305they're not banned because pussies like you and the rest of these pansies aren't going to do anything about it so. there's that
>some breeds are smarter than others>accepted as fact>some breeds are more energetic than others>accepted as fact>some breeds have more prey drive than others>accepted as fact>some breeds are more prone to aggressive behavior than others>RRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEi dont understand it
>>2555989you've got that backwards.there's scientific evidence that some breeds have stronger prey drive. There's weak evidence that some breeds are more aggressive.there's no evidence that some breeds are more intelligent. The problem scientifically minded individuals will have with this is it all deals with BREEDS. Pit bulls aren't a breed.
>>2555994>there's no evidence that some breeds are more intelligent.wat
>>2555994>there's no evidence that some breeds are more intelligent.bitch please
Artists drawing animals they never had the chance to see themselves based on hearsay and tales? Particularly europeans depicting african animals if the subject isn't specific enough
>>2555728Fuck yeah they do
>>2555184>>2555486That actually looks pretty accurate for a chambered nautilus, don't those have a beak, just like octopi and squid?
>>2555728>he's never read a Nora Roberts or Christine Feehan novelJesus Christ, there was even an episode of Friends about it.
No UUUUUU

>>2550668What does a fish use after it gets scraped by a harpoon? A tuna-cate.
>>2552632Succulents are outdoor plants. Only bring them in to protect from frost.
Well, what is it /an/?
>>2554311Leaving them alone and not overwatering, making sure roots have enough fresh soil
>>2551406>>2551417What country are you from?
Why does he wear the mask?
I love my cat, /an/is feeding her live mice for Christmas sadistic?
>>2554576fucking this
>>2554507it's pretty dumb. Mammals can give other mammals a plethora of disease and parasites. I mean hell snake owners already have a problem with mice giving their reptiles something nasty, and there is a whole class separating the two species. You're better off killing the mice and freezing it for a time to kill anything it may be hosting. Also safer to actually use feeder mice. Normally you'd think it would be common sense and that it's redundant to mention that, but you never know with /an/. You will save a lot of time and money if you just buy some pre killed frozen mice in bulk.
>>2554507Not a great idea.Best case scenario, the cat catches it and makes a bloody mess. What if the cat lets the mouse get away? What of it was pregnant? What if it was harboring diseases or bacteria that could be harmful to you and your cat? What if your cat gets bit?Just not worth the risk.
If you really want to do something like that then just fill the bathtub with a little water, put a couple small fish in it and let the cat go crazy in the tub
>>2555304I agree that there are clear benefits for it, but I think they are hardwired to enjoy this practice more than most other things
Evolution is just a theor-
>>2535307/an/ is a blue board you pervert
>>2555198Saw through all that did you?
>>2554424They'd find a true species of homo if anyone ever went in OPs room lmao
>>2555360Holy shit, how can OP recover?
Well officially it is a theory. Correct though.
what is your favourite tailless amphibian?
Discuss anything aquarium related here, including inhabitants, decor and issues.Google is your friend.Feel free to ask questions but know that there are a lot of resources out there that could answer your question a lot faster and accurately than /an/.Make sure to include these things in your post before asking because we can't help you if we don't have the full picture:-tank size (include dimensions, not just volume)-parameters (ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, pH, GH, KH)-any and all inhabitants + how long you've had themLinks:Tank Cycling:https://www.petcha.com/freshwater-aquarium-cycling/https://www.petcha.com/fishless-aquarium-cycling-method/Care Guides:>http://seriouslyfish.com/Plants and Animals for sale:Comment too long. >>2554177it will get lonely but goldfish are far more social with humans than other breeds of fish as they are far more domesticated. be sure to give him things to do. They can enjoy TV. (no, seriously.)
>>2555955I've seen angels come into the store looking like that before and as long as the water was kept clean they got better after a few days. If she starts deteriorating further I'd suggest a broad spectrum bacterial medication.
>>2555978My friend has a leopard gourami that would watch TV, but only if Top Gear was on. She named him Stig.
finally got a pic of the damaged scales. the stripes were black all the way through
>>2555818i'd go for some floating plants, they grow extremely fast and suck up nutrients well since they have access to air CO2. ludwigia arcuata, limnophila aromatica and vallisneria spiralis are some nicer plants that do really well in my low-tech tank.
Today's a really shitty day /an/. My almost two year old rat chocked to death on rice yesterday, I was too late to help him... Here he is on the top in the pic. His name was Ping.Ill post a few more pictures in his memory, he was a total bro and a friend. Rest in peace Ping, you were the best rat to ever live.
Top one here, he was always eating too much too fast. Always. But thats how he rolled i suppose.
Thats all for now, Ill post some more pics later if I find some good ones. Its amazing how one can get so attached to something so small.
Poor, sweet Ping

well I believe that my dog has lymphoma, I'm broke so no money for vets. What do I do for him to minimize the pain?
>>2555997If you describe it in more detail/provide more pictures i might be able to help. Judging by the picture it doesn't quite look like a lymphoma. It might very well be a neoplastic change but that doesn't mean that is has to be dangerous. How old is he? How does it feel to the touch? Is it firm/solid or soft? Can you move it around seem to be attached deeply?
>>2556022I can't take pictures atm.But the bulge feels like a "bag of fat" not something hard. It's hanging and feels like it is attached to the neck tissue. He's 12 years old, lately he's been sleeping the whole day, and I suspect that he might have diarrhea but I'm not sure honestly.
HOLY SHIT I JUST NOTICED that he's injured and that's why his node is swollen. This happened before and my father cured him with antibiotics. However, thank you very much I appreciate it.
>>2556053Well I guess you're in luck. But if the lymph node is large enough for you to see it he might have a serious infection that might require treatment. Keep an eye on his condition.
>>2556064Yes, for sure I'll.It's an abscess formed from a fat accumulation in his arm near to his chest. He probably hit his chest against something while trying to catch a cat, I'm gonna keep him from barking at stuff. Also he's in pain that's why he's been weak lately. He's been eating properly so there's no problem in that regard.
