Bros how do I stop binge eating, I feel so disgusting after ordering and eating all this food in one sitting. I can barley breathe because of how full I am.

Another binge eater here. Adding to anons great guide. Water. Drink fuck loads of water. Seriously, you should be drinking enough water until your piss is only slightly yellow that's the "you're hydrated now you can drink a cup of water every now and then" point.

By the gimmick water powder (gatorade, powerade) to start with. Use this very dilutely, (1 scoop per 700mL or above). It makes sucking down water a lot easy and helps you with cravings (thought there is sugar in this, eventually moved to just fruit and then plain water). Water really helps kill craving and plenty of fatties feel hungry even after meals just because they're dehydrated.

Lastly, for fuck sake don't crash diet. IF (intermittent fasting, we anon referenced) is handy if you do 16/8 but it is seriously much better you actually just eat when you want, as long as it's healthy and comes just under your TDEE. Starving yourself rarely works and is a great way back onto the binge bandwagon. The guide in fit is very handy even if the rest of the board can be trash.

>better to just eat when you want as long as it's healthy

Guide anon here.
For some, giving into a craving, even a healthy one can trigger a binge. IMO, better to retrain your body to only want food when it needs food. But do whatever works for you.

Forgot about the water meme though. Definitely stay hydrated. Not only will it help keep you getting full, but it will make you feel healthier overall. My fiance used to be sluggish/tired all the time, with lots of indigestion. Didn't believe in the water meme and got mad when I kept suggesting it. But now he pees clear and admitted that it does actually help.

I haven't had the best luck with 25g in mine, but it's doable.

Interestingly, with the V60s the only difference in sizes is the wall height. So you can do a smaller brew in the larger brewer no problem. With Kalita though, the whole slope changes. Both way shorter than the v60s, I think largely since they're more built around pulse pouring.

Fish doesn't count as meat according to the Roman Catholic tradition
>>

The reason is simply the thought behind a fast ( the 24th beeing part of the nativity fast). In medival times fish was always salted or cured, which made it not too pleasant and more suitable for food consumed as a penance.

Although it's only still done in Poland and Italy for the most part, the only catholic nations still alive.

Reposting this because my thread is dying anyway

This year I'm cooking for my grandparents and close family (total of 7 people). Can zou cu/ck/s help me out with my menu? It'll be 3 courses:

Deep fried, beer-battered fish with a spicy chilz Hollandaise variety

I want to serve it w/ some greens and maybe some variety of corn. What about grits and roasted leeks? Anyone have ideas?

Pork Belly marinated Vietnamese style with a miso-lime glaze, mini Chinese steam buns, XO Sauce

Thinking about some kind of root vegetable that would fit well here. Maybe parsnip or parsley root, roasted in the oven, then cleaned and pureed?

Earlier, in one fell swoop, my world got turned upside down. I found out that there are people who wipe standing up, and that there are people who leave dirty dishes soaking in soapy water and then proceed to sponge/brush them down and leave them to air-dry WITHOUT FIRST RINSING THEM OFF!

Please, lads, say it isn't true, tell me I'm being trolled, I've been having a shitty couple of decades, I cannot carry this on my shoulders as well.

How are aged Blends made, e.g. Johnnie Walker Black Label?

Are the single ingredients already 12 years old or is the Blend aged for 12 years?
>>
>>9863321
basically its worn out casks aged for at least 12 years blended together after aging. they take it mostly from distilleries like Cardhu, Talisker and Lagavulin. Green Label is better though cause its only malt from Caol Ila, Linkwood, Talisker and Cragganmore and is 43% instead of 40% and is the only JW worth your time.

Making a balanced, nutritious, and enjoyable diet out of only vegetables takes work and creativity. If the idea of eating a meat-free diet for a month upsets and frightens you (and it does for most of /ck/), you should take it as a sign that you don't really enjoy cooking. You see it as a chore, and the only reason you pretend to like it is that mass-media has convinced you that being "into food" makes you an interesting person.

it doesn't really take any more work than cooking meat... usually less cooking time.

Well, no. It really doesn't. The creativity comes from trying to make it presentable to the common snob, or trying to mimic the looks of non-vegetarian options.

You're just an insufferable bigot. To use >>9862430 as one example, you assume that just because someone has an omnivorous diet that they don't like vegetables for some reason. The fact of the matter is that you are thinly veiling your own babyish resistance to the icky meat.
>>
>>9863983
>you assume that just because someone has an omnivorous diet that they don't like vegetables for some reason
I don't think you understand what "omnivorous" means

vegetables are not some kind of new age punishment to be endured under strict medical supervision. you are not an omnivore if you subsist off chicken tenders

American immigrants are just as ignorant of actual italian food as any other American.

I just find it hilarious that when faced with people who know better than them how to make a dish they've made and eaten the right way thousand of times, some Americans scream and shout that they're wrong and that THEY are making it the right way.

I don't care if you like the American version of a recipe better, that's fine. It was literally made to cater to your taste more than the original did, it only makes sense that you'd like it.

But don't look like a fucking retard "correcting" people who know better than you what a certain recipe looks like when done right. A risotto that leaks water and can't stand up on its own was either undercooked or someone added too much broth.

That's a simple objective truth that OP somehow thinks he can refute.

Italians should not be allowed to talk about their food. They can cook it one way very well but they cannot conceive of anyone doing it differently, despite the fact that some nonna two doors down from them makes it with butter instead of olive oil, doesn’t salt the aubergines and swears on her life that this is the one true way while condemning you as an idolatrous heretic.

This little Italian bitch I know is constantly busting chops for using cream in carbonara and shit, but if you asked her to cook pasta she’d start cutting up an onion with a serrated knife, fry it in too little oil to keep her waistline, dump in some canned tomatoes then abruptly panic and throw in curry powder, precooked mussels and a white wine that turns out to be a syrupy dessert wine. The motherfuckers are just footsoldiers in their grandmothers’ cultural crusade, they can’t create, only propagate and denigrate,
>>
>>9863923
>bitch i wanted to fuck turned me down so now i have to generalize her poor cooking skills to an entire country
cream has no place in carbonara, if you need cream to make it creamy you shouldnt be allowed near a kitchen, not even yours

The good news is that pufferfish can be bred to be toxin-free by rearing them on a controlled diet; this would make any part of their body safe to consume in theory, though cost and stigma are obvious concerns.
