Or just a veteran of anything in general. I don't even hate cops but the fact that there are so many special-forces LARPing tattooed douchebags as police officers doesn't do them favors at all. You don't need a no-knock raid to arrest some 20 year old dindu selling dimebags. We are literally flushing money down the toilet by giving police departments all these toys and paying for their lawsuits.

Any suggestions?

just get whatever the fuck you want. a mag pouch on the holster, and therefore on your dominant side is stupid as fuck. you going to reach across your body, or play hot potato with the handgun to reload? there are plenty of safariland 3 hole molle adapters giving you access to safariland holsters and half the kydex market.

From this article (https://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2015/5/5/patriot-ordnance-factory-s-p415-carbine/) on American Rifleman:

"In DeSomma’s mind, if the AR has one Achilles’ heel, it is extraction. Though the AR is often compared unfavorably to the AK when it comes to reliability, the AK has a geometrical advantage that the AR does not: the greater taper of the 7.62x39 mm cartridge. This taper not only acts as a funnel when the cartridge is feeding into the chamber, it provides a tremendous advantage in extraction. By comparison, the more “modern” 5.56x45 mm and 7.62x51 mm NATO cartridges have minimal taper. Once fired, the expansion of the case head creates a press-fit seal between the cartridge case neck and the AR’s chamber in addition to the friction caused by the nearly parallel planes of the case body and the chamber wall. The result is a reasonably common occurrence of stuck cases in the AR series of rifles. A stuck case is a serious malfunction that can put a finely tuned rifle out of action in the midst of a battle.

POF’s solution to the extraction issue was literally to stick a square peg in a round hole. What it calls E2 extraction technology, is a series of four channels that run parallel with the cartridge in the neck of the chamber. Set in the form of a square when viewed from the rear of the chamber, the channels allow the rapidly expanding propellant gases to flow rearward into the shoulder of the cartridge, which breaks the mechanical seal between the case neck and the chamber wall and assists the case in its rearward travel out of the chamber."

Never own one of these POF rifle, but what has just been described, it is the same as the fluted chamber found on G3 rifles for decades, right? I've no idea why did the author seemed so excited about an old solution to an old problem.

That said, if my memory serves me right, there is some other articles on American Rifleman that did blown up the reviewed gun quite a bit.
>>
>>36117501
>Thinking extraction was ever an issue on the AR.

It was feeding and American Rifleman is likewise full of shit for shilling hard on their latest doner. If extraction was an issue like they played it than normal AR's would not be able to use reloaded ammunition reliability.

Has anyone else seen the weapon detailed in this sketch? I seem to see pictures of it occasionally on the internet and a loose knit story of it being used by a Serbian merc. Was this a mass produced model of ppsh41 or was it a unique one of a kind weapon?

Nope. It was officially made for croatian military during balkan wars in croatia. ZNG found a stash of PPSh but they lacked barrels.

So local mechanical workshop rebarreled them with that they had on hand (nugget barrel cut in theree parts? I dont really remember) - and since the barrels were already short, they decided to go full retard and give it a pistol grip.

As a lot of you are aware there are a number of young men trying to get into the Aussie military and are being fucked around by recruitment.

Yes there is bullshit going on with quotas for women and all sorts of shit.

I am making this thread to inform and gather as many guys i can across Australia as i have made a group to inform, educate and most of all keep each other motivated to get through this bullshit.

I will also be gathering information off each of the men this is happening to and putting it all together and see if something can be done about it as (not to sound like a big shot) i have some high ranking officer contacts withing the ADF that could help us.

If you are one of these guys get in this thread and add me on discord TimMcD#0934 or e-mail me at [email protected] as i have made the group and come join it so you don't have to go through this bullshit alone.

This thread is aimed at guys who are looking to join or who are in the process of joining now, it is not to complain or ask questions, i am simply trying to get more numbers in the group.

Are we ever going to see the 806 in the US?

Literally none of them apply to the American market 805. No one has broken a trigger, no one has broken the stock (maybe the retro stock sucks, not many people bought one) or the charging handle, the cam pin doesn't gouge the receiver, gas ports don't seem to be an issue, and the firing pin retaining pin isn't staked.
>>
>>36114353

Excluding the FCG, there are exactly three differences between the rifles - the sights, the retaining pin and the (for whatever reason) flat 3' and 9' rail sections.
As for the rest, very few people own the rifle and fewer still have actually put it through the paces. Look for it and mostly you'll find reviewers or people who bought the pistol version for the novelty.
And it's the new stocks that break, the original non-adjustable folders were recalled only months after the military first received the first handful of rifles, when someone finally realized exactly how stupid a non-adjustable LOP was with the fat ass carriers we use (the replacement is *still* too long even fully collapsed).

FAQ:
>What milsurp should I get as my first gun so that I can become a l33t operator?
None. For practical purposes new guns beat old guns by miles. Milsurp is for historical appreciation. If you want to hunt get a modern hunting rifle, if you want to be l33t get yourself a 'salt weapon.

>OK then, what the BEST milsurp money can buy?
The one you want. Seriously, "best" doesn't enter into the equation, pick a country you like and a time period you like and buy their guns.

it's a Chinese knockoff of a kabar knockoff. it has no name, nor a legitimate manufacturers, the metal quality is also probably incredibly bad....it's knife like these that you see at flea markets for like 5 bucks each and they come in BARRELS

They're entry level knives for home hackers, 420 stainless which is next to unkillable in the kitchen, will get sort of sharp for a little while and have a fairly fucking terrible bevel. But, they are cheap and you're unlikely to ever break one under normal use

I like the idea of a 6-shot 327 mag in a J frame snubbie. The ballistics are much better than a .380, however the ammo will be much harder to find. Just need to stock up, I suppose.
>>

A revolver with polymer frame really bothered me at first for some reason, but after trying it I liked the trigger so much better than the smith that I didn't care. Somehow it feels like it kicks less too even though it's lighter, no idea why.

If everyone in the military is supposed to train to be in good physical condition and strength, then why doesn't anyone start using belt-felt machine guns as the standard issue weapons? Why are we so obsessed with using lighter and smaller guns and ammunition as the years have went by? This alone would increase infantry firepower tenfold.

Let's go back to the basic premise of a fire team. One rifleman , one NCO, one grenadier and one light machinegun. The idea is they work together using the different strengths of their weapons. In a way it's miniaturized combined arms.

>>
>>36096097
That's a faggot answer to the question of why they didn't adopt the G11 with a 50-rd magazine. Thats 66% more ammunition before reload using a magazine rather than belt with soldiers firing off 2100rd/min 3 round bursts. It would have given every soldier a mini-spandau but the military-industrial complex had to be fags.
