Hello, does anybody know where I could buy CMYK color Bible (194,481 colors), there was one released in 1997 by I-D GRAPHICS Oslo, Norway. (see pic)No need for Pantone fan decks.
>"we recommend that this book be replaced regularly due to pigment fading">book isn't successful because it's in a miserably clunky format that's only useful for one of the five or so things you can do with a pantone deck, has gone out of print>anon doesn't care, wants a copy from literally 30 years agobeware the vicious retspih

>>327930Yeah bro cause graphic design only happens here not in the real world right?
>>327951he is right, no disagreeing about that, but my point is that is pretty easy to crop it and make it square
>>327952The people who know how easy it is do it, the retards who don’t post here apparently
All,Some real noob shit here but: using Photopea, or any other similar in-browser editors (I'd prefer to not download, but if I must, I will [no $ for photoshop]), is there any way to automatically and quickly crop something inside an image? Like on the attached beautiful hat, is there a tool where I can just click on the hat and it knows how to separate from the background? Also, in Photopea, I don't understand how to trace an object to crop. I only see the rectangular and ellipse cropping tools. I've viewed photoshop tuts but can't find the same in Photopea.
Just torrent Photoshop dude. Don't be lazy
>>327902Paint.net is a free download, and the magic wand tool is pretty good for a free tool. If you click the white space on a non complex object it'll do an acceptable job of selecting the white space.

I use GIMP and how do I make it so the cross band matches up without looking like ass?
bit like this, m8?
>>327957Thanks pal!
>>327959m8, listen. there's a bunch of stuff on that thing that could be done better.if you want to do it properly. make the yellow bit solid, add the vertical lines, and slap the white strip over the top with a mask.it'll take 15 minutes
>>327961I'm amature at best and pretty much all self taught. I don't know what you mean by "mask"
>>327963m8, just google layers and masks and watch a couple of youtube videos. they're essential things, you'll thank me.
Hey, so I'm pretty frustrated with this. I had the idea for Pic related a while ago and was happy that I finally finished the idea. But everyone I showed it to (6 people so far) either didn't get that the tangled earbuds were meant to be exaggerated by mixing it with the medusa creepyness or didn't even recognize the medusa at all.>looks like a woman with noodles on her headI have a version with open mouth, snake tongue and completely white eyes too (not in this phone though), but this "sexier" version appeals more to me..Did you guys get what it is supposed to be immediately? What would you change? I can post the creepier version later
>>322275This is pretty effective but the cords need to go a little lower, medusa didnt have a beehive may boi
I also didn't see the medusa on first sight, can you make the buds themselves a little smaller so they look a bit more like snakes?also this >>327251
>>322275>Did you guys get what it is supposed to be immediately?yes, but I'm not an uneducated retard. Are your friends foreign? I suppose I wouldn't expect an Asian person to be immediately familiar with the concept of Gorgons.>What would you change?I think the fact that it's only earbuds is a little boring. Personally I would have mixed it up with some microUSB / HDMI cables or whatever, but you might have your reasons for specifically wanting the focus to be on audio. Also what >>327251 and >>327188 said. She has too much volume up top and not enough around the sides. In classical depictions of Medusa her snakes form more of a mane.
>>3222751.the fact that earbuds are too small (the cord is long, but the earbuds are small). If you want to design something about stereo, maybe bass speaker can be easier to work with. Earphone jack-while they can appeal to certain person and they're part of the set, it is way too small and insignificant for the part. Men may recognize this but girls, will not care so much about the shape of 3.5mm jack.2.the mess on the middle is too messy-it takes the most space and distracting. I'd suggest to simplify it3.the medusa is expressionless, while it should convey either of medusa traits (beauty;seducing or scary;attacking). Your face is neither. If you want to go with neutral expressions you should simplify it to a point that it is neutral but simple enough (look for versace logo;it's a medusa)4.placement and portion; the mess is in the middle. Your overall shape arrangement is circle, so people will either focus on the edge or centre. In this case, it is the centre since the edge arrangement is broken. At this point I don't know which is your focus-medusa or earbuds-but I think placing medusa at the middle of circle shape arrangement is a good idea.5.think about your audience-normal people. How many people know that versace logo is medusa? Yet versace has brand all over the world. What message do you try to convey? Is it the product logo, or is it a company logo, etc. You need to give us details. Where is the focus of the design?
Here's the versace medusa logo as comparison
I need a CV for this organization im trying to join can anyone give me some inspiration or template it doesnt need to be formal.

*PIC FOR MY INITIAL IDEA IS TO ANALYSE/RE-WORK/EXTEND ON PREVIOUSLY EXISTING ADVERTISEMENT*I recently applied to a university for a degree in communication (advertising). After attending a 'creative exercise' with 50 other applicants to create a magazine cover advertisement using 8 possible options provided I got shortlisted to the next stage. This next stage is for me to bring in my portfolio of previous workings to discuss with 2 interviewers so they may assess and critique my work. I dont have a port folio or any of my pieces to show them. I am not artistically inclined and do not possess to skills or know how to whip up a portfolio in a week and a bit.My question to you /gd/ is wtf do i bring along with me to this interview?
You can give them an ms-paint drawing of Goatse and they'll take you inDo you think they will not accept your money because "you are not good enought" to study there, or whatever? lol
Thoughts on the supreme logo? I hate it so much but it's so interesting
>>327555>designsthat's too broad, more context is needed. also people at /gd/'s don't like giving out ideas but rather give out suggestions on which of yours have potential, and for inspiration try pinterest.

One quick google search later
>>325543Its a tool you will learn it less than 2 month, then back to master the aesthetic again.
>>325543just learn the basics and work with bootstrap
i guess YouTube videos and tutorials the best way to learn its by actually coding mmm look up for udemy theres a lot of courses in there
WHY IS GRAPHIC DESIGN SO HARD?WHY CAN'T I MAKE ANYTHING GOOD EVEN THOUGH I HAVE INFINITE GOOD EXAMPLES AVAILABLE?
>>327900>you can't build a car though there's a car right in front of youreally makes you think
>>327901Well obviously the limiting factor in building a car is the lack of knowledge and ability to assemble the parts. That's not the issue here because I can recreate everything I see (for the purposes of this discussion) in Photoshop, it's just that any attempt I make to deviate from existing examples inevitably turns to shit.
>>327906you can technically watch hours of youtube videos to assemble a car. but not create your own oneyou are learning not so much the design as you're learning your graphics editor with tutorials
>>327906How long have you been designing for? Do you understand the fundamentals of layout, composition, negative space, ratios, etc? Do you read about design?
>go on dribbble>front page is a bunch of ugly, uninspired, garish minimalist flat garbage for financial start up companiesWhy is this a thing now? It's like nobody actually cares about appeal anymore. And no, I'm not complaining about minimalist design as a concept, it's just that most of the people who adhere to that style use it as a crutch for their amateur skills and general terribleness.
>>327368Ofcourse, wasnt the site sloganned as a fun project side for designer? it makes people wonder "if his/her jam are good how his serious work will be"?
>>327368D stands for Dribbble Design Cancer.
>>327368To be quite honest I like this style. Whats wrong with it?
>>327439> if it's so easy to get on the popular page doing such easy work, why don't you have thousands of followers? Maybe it's harder than you think ;)LOL.Just travel around recent shots - all of those are literally the same. The popular page spot is just the matter of luck and self-promoting in social media. Nothing about talent or art
Less is more, faggot. Design shouldn't dictate the content, but the other way around, you don't need any more than that. Dribble designers usually understand this.
1. Post album from this year that you think has a good design2. The 10 albums with the most replies go to strawpoll3. Winner will be chosen by strawpollPlease dont post album covers which have been posted alreadyHere is my entry.
and posting richard skelton's stuff is practically cheating since he gets a whole book to work with.
>>327893Holy shit this sounds as good as it looks
and obligatory raster-media release of the year.
I mean that less ironic that you might think
Thoughts on the new F1 logo
reminds me of the modern Wipeout games
>>326672R1.N at a thumbnail size.Bad logo, wrong audience.
>>327865You are literally retarded.
>>327865The fuck...Yeah, and at thumbnail level the Apple logo is a fucked up circle. I guess R R 1 ? Maybe? As far as I know an r or R are essentially a single line, not 2 like the new F1 logo. >Bad logo, wrong audience.Nah, as a long time racing game/sim user / track junkie/racer/drifter and F1 ethusiast. I feel the logo fits fine. Like said before, it's like something out of a mid 2000s racing game like their website. It''s the whole point. Everyone in racing loves the nostalgia and this style has stuck with F1 for decades before you decided the logo doesn't fit. Shit is fine and fits a lot better for branding than the old one. I liked the previous one more, but I think this was a good move, considering how impossible it was to theme anything around the old one or even fit it in on a shirt cleanly without it just being the logo.
Love it. I'd put this sticker on my '68 Mustang

/gd/, I need your help remembering the name of a graphic designer. I think he was from Switzerland or Germany or some european country. I believe he has worked from the late 80s/early 90s till now. He is known for breaking graphic design conventions similar to how David Carson does, and has interesting type layouts and uses collage. His designs are avant garde and messy. pls help
>>327746>>327753>>327756Nope, he's similar-ish to karel martens, but with more photographs and all the other things I've mentioned>>327801It's shiina ringo, bretty sure she's fine
