Post your modified interiors/dream mods.
How far could you legal go in your cunt/state as far as interior mods go?
I really want to replace the front, maybe back seat of some shitbox wagon or something with a couch/wingbacked chair, like Clarkson's car in that one episode of Top Gear. (Except bolted down and secured properly.) Essentially the same way people customize vans, but with a shitbox car.

Welp, I got my Packard last night and, while it's rusty and has issues, I may just clear coat it and drive it as-is; calling it the "Pack-rat."

Me, too. It's a custom-order color. That red was not a Cadillac color in '68. It had to be paid for, in full, in advance at the time and was sold new in California with a slew of options.
>>
>>18323396
I may be late to this party, but id say clear coat it, paint the wheels hotrod red and get some nice white letter tires on it, triple single barrel carb intake, and depending on which side the ports are on, 8 warplane pipes out from the fender.
>>
>>18331564
Fuckin christ that rust. I now have a new found appreciation for California aged classics. That Kennedy sticker was cool as fuck to see though.

Alright /o/ I need advice. I've found a 2003 Lexus IS300 Sport Design a few hours driving distance from where I live, and my Crown Vic died on me a while back. I want a durable but also fun car so IS300 seemed pretty good. It has 195k miles on it and it's priced at 3700 USD. There's no carfax damage reports or such and no check engine light on. Is this a good deal? I'll be meeting the owner on Monday, what should I look for when I check the car/test drive? What usually goes catastrophically wrong with IS300s?

The IS300 has a 2jz-ge. The same engine that's in GS300 and NA Supra. Are you thinking of IS250?

i picked up the sedan version a couple weeks ago for a thousand dollars, the lady couldnt get it started and the dealership quoted her 1500 to fix it. i bought it on a whim thinking it was the main fuel relay but it turned out to be the ect sensor going to the ecu. replaced the sensor and its running super well
>>
>>18334954
Hard to find good running examples without BHG problems. 1k is a steal even if it has minor issues. How is the rest of the car? Body in good shape?
>>
>>18334965
the body has some dents and pretty minor rust considering i live in utah, interior is super good barring a small tear in the drivers seat. the engine runs extremely well and only has 130k on it. speed sensor needs to be replaced but thats not that big of a deal. pretty sure the head gasket is fin, no chocolate milk oil/ tail pipe smoke. i kinda feel bad for the old women i bought it from, the dealer quoted her 1500 to fix the speed sensor and get it starting reliably.

I have a 2004 WRX which is stock but now I am looking to get a catback exhaust.

from my understanding a catback doesn't need a tune but a turboback does?

what brands should I look into?

I don't want anything too ridiculously loud but at the same time I want and angled cannon style one just for looks.

recommendations?
>>
Best thing you can do for a turbo is just run straight pipes, less back pressure on the turbo and a wax sounds godly with a good set of blast pipes and a 3inch downpipe. Don't really need a tune will just run a little rich

Pray tell, y'all ride bikes? What are you riding on? What upgrades you guys got/are getting

Here's my 2017 lowrider s. Gave it forward controls (had mids originally), swapped out the drag bar for 12" apes, lifted the tank 3", added passenger pegs and pillion, put on a 24" sissy bar. That's everything so far... Still got plenty of work to do

I really fucking want a bike, but i would hate to drive it in my area. i live in Orlando and the drivers here are shitty as they come. and i almost crash at least once a week in my car, because there are shitty driving tourists and drunks everywhere. i have no idea how id fare on a bike.

I also live with my parents and they wouldn't let me get a motorcycle. i know this because ive already talked to them and they specifically said "not while you live with us"

realistically ill probably start on something like a vstar 250, or a ninja 250 or something small

but I really want the aprilia RSV4 tho, that shit is tight. if money was no object id have one.

I’m looking for a cheap daily driver and i just cant decide.

Golf 2 vs Golf 4 vs Golf 5 vs Megane 3.. please help. Which is the most fun? The best looking? The most reliable?

Apples and oranges,

the first is an old turd, dead beat last on reliability by virtue of old age.

The second two aren't even in the same price bracket.

And the megane is a bit more expensive than that.

Make up your mind.

Either way. Not the golf 2. Unless you want to get destroyed in the first minor fender with a sandnigger on a syrian camel license operating a golf 4.

The 911 didn't have very period design cues like the gallardo, and the 911 isn't as rare.

I'm guessing he hasn't. Mustangs are a very common sight at most tracks, and even at autocross, I have no idea where the "people don't track muscle cars" meme came from.
>>
>>18334466
If all you're looking at is horsepower and price that could apply to any car, fucktard

>derp I could build it cheaper

No shit, also wouldn't have a warranty and would just be a shitbox with a bunch of power
>>
>>18334511
This, muscle car fanboys only care about how big the numbers are not why they matter. It's not an awful car by any means but it is a very tame example of a sports car. It's not nearly as aggressive or capable as it looks and sounds.

>>18334549
This thing is legitimately glorious. It'sfrustrating that while Americans can clearly build good cars they rarely choose to.

So I recently bought a 11 wrx and over 30,000 miles the damn clutch has failed me. I have a full COBB tune im sure the clutch was a stage one thus why I assume it broke. I just need help step by step for this clutch removal. I have stage 2 clutch in hand and ready to put this baby in.

MY KNOWLEDGE:I've done only rwd transmissions.first ever turbo, and awd car I've messed with.

I know the drivetrain is where I get confused. Do I need to remove axles?
Drain any fluids?

Also I don't have an engine lift so I'm jacking up the car and working from underneath and top engine bay. I would like to just slide the drivetrain out with the transmission.

I did the Cobb tune in October and bought the car in February. It's my fault I should have done the clutch first. I'll buy the book for it online or something I can't seem to find them in town where I live.
>>
>>18333975
Dude, a Cobb Tune is not enough to blow out clutch. Is this your first stick? Are you dumping it every red light? Even if you learned to drive stick in this car it shouldn't take more then a week or two to learn whats up
>>
easiest way is to pull the engine. tearing apart all the stuff to get the bell housing off like its an old ford will not behoove you. you gotta take off air box battery intercooler intake and harness, make sure to label stuff. then, loosen motor mounts transmission bolts and downpipe from turbo and hoist the thing out. you can replace the clutch easier that way.
>>
>stage 1 aka literally removing the stock garbage tune but retaining restrictive exhaust
>still smokes clutch with 30k

ive had a catless stage 2 WRX with an aggresive tune for 9 years on the same clutch and it still has tons of meat left on it but now the throwout bearing is dying a slow death

gas yourself anon
