Best first car for around 20000€?

What I had in mind:

-Toyota GT86
-Nisan 350z
-Porsche Cayman (not sure, would need to be an old one..)

I don't want it to be too expensive to maintain. I don't want it to break and be a fucking mess if I need to use it daily for a while.

I was considering the 350z but got told it's too expensive in the gas department or something. I got told GT86 is cheap to keep and pleasant to drive.

In Germany they sell for 10k-20k since they have the brembo brakes used in the NISMO build stock. Plus they're pretty rare.

GT86. It will be a while til they get down to chump change meme level, but I can definitely see a wave of 'just get a used FRS' posts for those whose budget is higher but still under 10K.

10-20 years ago, most cars were tan Camrys. 30-40 years ago, most cars were silver or brown. Nothing has changed for commuter boxes. There was no golden age of Chad drivers driving flaming yellow Pintos. Pencil necked accountant drones have always driven beigeboxes to work, and the average blue collar worker wouldn't give a rat's ass about the color of his work truck. Besides that, most commuter boxes are being styled ridiculously now as a response to your sort calling 90s and 00s cars boring as fuck. That's why we now have an edgy Prius that looks like it just drank dog piss.

Portals

Way too hecking heavy to be worth it. But portal axles are a thing.
>>
>>18334870
Portals are nice, but good god they're fucking expensive. I'd almost rather bust a diff than pay for that shit; better yet, just tack on some cheap armor.
>>
>>18334870
Reduction hubs don't necessarily have to be portals. Heaps of earthmoving good and agricultural gear use planetary drive hubs in an effort to minimise crown wheel and ultimately diff pumpkin size. Also an expensive retrofit.

Guess my point is there's a reason diffs on heavier duty vehicles get physically bigger and bigger externally.

It's indefensible, XJs are gay. That's why they're called CheroCars. Body on frame is the only real way to have an off road truck/SUV. XJs are basically "battlewagon" tier.

I second both of these cant go wrong with them. Get some all season or something along those liens to get max mileage out of them and still decent handling/ride quality.

When he struck the wall, the wheel slammed against his head, pressing it hard against the headrest, and also the most fatal injury was that a part of the suspension pierced his helmet and his skull, which basically made him brain dead almost instantly

So insurance just totaled my car after i hit a deer last week. I'm getting roughly 7 thousand back and i live out in the country and own livestock so i'd like to buy a truck. Can /o/ please give me some advice and or tips about buying trucks?

>>18331577
What's your price point? Was the totaled car financed?
>>
>>18331931
Drove one for a week while my car was being worked on. Decent power, comfortable (but boring) interior, I hauled a bed load of cut wood, with a trailer full of the same. I cant speak for the reliability personally, but all in all, a good all around, no frills work truck.
>>
Be ready for crappy handling, if you can even call the wallowy wobblematic suspension of a truck a form of handling. I'd suggest smaller Japanese trucks, as they're still decent road going vehicles. Alternatively, go full on dually diesel and drive slow as crap but also haul a literal house behind it. Big trucks that aren't huge just sacrifice work ability for exactly the same awful road manners. Small trucks can at least be driven like a normal car but have the bonus of being able to haul a bit.

is an smg convertible the cheapest way to get a well cared for e46 m3?
they're cryptonite to fuccbois and ricers
nice as nice looking as the coupe but a hardtop helps, and the exhaust note is real nice with the top down
the smg isn't great but it's actually not difficult to convert it to a 6 speed manual since the smg is literally just a 6 speed with motors bolted to it

No, it feels like someone used the box transform tool on a E46 coupe roof, stretched it rearward then up in the back. Looks like it was designed by a person with bad vision, not like a homage to an E30
