lots of mechanical grip (due to weight
fun moment about a point
a bit of inertia (resists any attempt to stop start of steer the car
enough torque to roll the car (will corner much more easy in one direction than the other (unless you have a counter rotating force or mass such as flywheel gear box and alternator)

old golden arrow here had its chassis built twisted in the opposite direction of engine torque
so when the engine twists it straightens out the chassis

but that is just longitudinal problem
traverse mounting only leaves the problem of wheel hop
make it FF "because Honda"

Chinese automaker owns Volvo, now lotus and Terrafugia. If you can't beat em... Buy em.

Will China just buy their way into the western auto market, doing the what the Koreans and before them the Japanese did (they used western engineers at first). But do so much quicker.

In SoCal, these gatherings are planned, though. Impromptu cruises and cruise-ins happen, but the street racing is done where cops are less likely to catch them. Traffic cops have informants and I've "heard" that they even embed their officers.

I know that they issue tickets for loitering, but arresting only happens when the cops tell them to disperse and then they start arresting them for failure to comply.

Should I get a Tundra or an F150? I know the Tundra is more reliable but the F150 can haul more and go faster and considered to be a cooler truck. So basically, should I go for reliability or performance and respect?

I rented one for a drive from AZ to CA. 20k miles and it felt worn out. Rent a beaten up Civic or Camry, and it'll feel like a highly tuned performance car compared to this shitcube. The ride is absurdly high in the Versa and the whole car feels unstable; catching any cross wind in it makes you into a wobbly, slow mess. Interior is complete and utter garbage. Seats are horrible. Everything is bad about this car. Don't fucking get one. You can't even beat on it out of frustration with the transmission that it has.

11k can get you a nice 8th or 9th gen Civic, maybe even an Si.
>>
I've sat in one
Shifter had extremely long throws
Interior is awful hard plastic everywhere
seats felt awful
No power windows
No power mirrors
My friend had a 3-4 year old versa hand-me-down and stuff like the muffler rusted and fell off the car and it was only a couple years old

You are actually better off buying a used car because at least you wont completely regret your decision

If you get it in that configuration, and use 35" or larger tire you'll pop your front axel eventually if you use it off road. To avoid this, get the rubicon or be ready to replace the d35 for a d44.

/o/ makes an anime thread 2.5 (not letting this die that easily)

What started as a simple thread quickly evolved into planning a comfy car-focused animu.

Here's what we know so far.
Name: Kawaii Kars Klub
Characters: S2K, FD, Supra, snek, et al
Everything else: ???

Last thread some people were talking about potentially making this a manga/multi-page comic instead of an animated series to cut down on development time. Thoughts?

Post character and episode ideas (and, as usual, cute cars). Remember, every car is kawaii in its own way.

Maybe, but not worth it.

You need, at a minimum. Assuming there is no frame damage , and I haven't even seen under the hood:

Headlights
Bumper support
Bumper cover
AC condensor
Radiator
Hood
Hood hinges
Fenders
Radiator core support (requires welding)
Marker lights
Air box
All of the hardware and labor for the above plus paint

Repairable.
If you will be able to find airbags and framerails (new, black, OEM, for replacment) you are good to go.

If someone suggest you just to straighten the rail - do not listen to him, because it is as safe, as fucking with a slut without rubber, maybe you will not get AIDS or other, maybe you will.
>>
>>18332416
Of course it is. Almost everything is if given enough time and money. But is it feasable is another thing.
>>
>>18332416
Anything is repairable. Worst case scenario, rip out the engine, and get out the cut off wheel and buy a shell. Weld the good front end onto your car, and drop the engine back in. The key word is weld, not chicken crap spatter, so unless you've got a fair bit of practice that'll be the expensive bit.

Hey /o/ this is my first time buying snow tires for a new car. Holy hell I didn't realize they were so expensive...I'm in Canada, the cheapest pair sold by Canadian Tire is $115 each.

Is that pretty par for the course as far as prices for snow tires go? What price range should I look for?

I've got a base model 2017 honda civic fwiw.

Any help here is appreciated.

Stupid. You almost always get a $50-100 rebate when you buy a set of 4 tires so it's like buy 3 get 1 free.
>>
>>18332317
motomasters are shit, anon. Get good snow tires and have them changed out AS SOON as the snow stops. This way they will keep for 5 or 6 years. have them mounted on steel rims so you can put them on yourself.

Heard they’re decent cars and can be tuned easily
>>
Wait, this was posted as its own thread? Ok
>>
>>18333666
My boss loves those cars.

He had one he managed to tune to 300 horse somehow. Showed me an old video of him doing a burnout in one of them back in the mid 90s.

It's kinda funny that people think Americans can't into 4 cylinders. The chevy cobalt SS, Pontiac Sunfire with the LD9 twin cam, Neons and their huge aftermarket. Design language and interiors might not be great, but Americans have good history with 4 bangers.

This is my first car guys... I’ve had it for a month and I just screwed up coming into the garage. The feeling of shame and remorse is overwhelming... this car is like a living thing to me and I feel so angry and sorry... how do you guys cope with it???
