sangue?
blood?
não senti nada… suor já tinha sentido, lágrimas, talvez só quando a agulha me caía das mãos e não conseguia continuar
Bons trabalhos.
I felt nothing … sweat had felt, tears, perhaps only when the needle dropped from my hands and could not continue
Happy stitching!

Pelo menos tenham uma boa semana com agulhas e linhas.
After a few days of almost summer here we have again rain, wind and cold!
At last a happy stitching week.

bead work
Elephant – I made the form out of muslin, and it is beaded throughout in seed beads of all colors. I used poly filament otherwise known as fishing line of 100m 1.8 Kg clear. 0.20mm in diameter. 3 beads at a time in back stitching in case of someone cutting the beads, they would not unravel.

Needlepoint Frame 2001
The second photo is of a mini Persian carpet in a wooden frame to keep the canvas taut. It is done in 22 count canvas, with Paternayan yarn single strand. Needlepoint needles # 20-22 in a stabbing back stitch. When all embroidery completed, I leave 2.5cm around the design before trimming. The backing is done in a complimentary color by machine.

I appreciate all her work, but the beaded work is exquisite.
And now she says : I am taking a class from a teacher from England’s Royal School of Needlework online, it is an evening cap from the works of Shakespeare, the one in the photo is the finished one, still on the frame because I have to do the goldwork yet and the edge.

Actual work in progress by Velia!
Lovely, isn’t it?
Thanks so so much for your friendship. (I found you used to sign as Manos maravillosas and it’s very very true)
