No seguimento do postal anterior sobre o mesmo tema vou mostrar como fiz o ponto pé de flor suspenso, e como penso que também a Mary Corbet terá feito.
Following the previous post on the same topic I’ll show you how I made the raised stem stitch, and similar Mary Corbet have done, I think.(sorry if I’m wrong).1 – Aproveitando o esquema que já tinha feito começo a fazer os pontos lançados, alternando um longo e um curto – daí a importância do circulo do meio. Tentei corrigir o esquema, contudo não ficou muito bem. Os pontos têm que ficar a espaços certos. As setas apontam para algumas incorreções.
– Building on the scheme I already had started making straight stitches, by alternating one long and one short – hence the importance of the middle circle. I tried to fix the scheme, but was not very good. The stitches must be made at regular (even?) and short spaces. The arrows point out to some mistakes.

2 – Os pontos devem convergir – o que não acontece no ponto com a seta, p.ex.
– Stitches must converge – which does not happen at the stitch with the arrow, eg.

3 – O avesso fica assim. Back side looks like that.

4 – E este é o primeiro ponto pé de flor suspenso – nunca picando o tecido – usando como suporte os pontos lançados.
– This is the very first raised stem stitch – never pricking the fabric – using straight stitches as support.

5, 6 – e continua-se; ao completar-se a volta nada se faz de especial, a não ser continuar à volta.
– and went on; when you finish the first turn you do nothing special but going on around.

Adenda: ao fazer o ponto pé de flor a linha não deve ser muito puxada, vai-se ajustando com a agulha.
Addendum: to make raised stem stitch the thread should not be pulled too much, it will be adjusted with the needle.

7 – quando os pontos lançados mais curtos acabam, podemos ou não mudar a cor.
 – when the shorter straight stitches are covered, we can or not change the color – 

8 – mudei a cor para demonstrar que se pode fazer, mesmo com cores contrastantes.
– I’ve changed the colour to show you what can be done even with contrasting colors.

9, 10 – Pode-se acabar como se quiser – usei o ponto pé de flor para contornar e os nozinhos para encher o circulo mais pequeno.
– You may end up as you want – I used stem stitch to work around and French knots to fill the smaller circle.

Resulta melhor com circulos mais pequenos – percebi isso quando comparei o que tinha feito há algum tempo com o que fiz agora – não resultou tão bem, desculpem!
It works best with smaller circles – I realized this when I compared what I’ve done before with the one I used for this tutorial – doesn’t work so well, sorry!
