… o Natal já foi e 2009 aqui está!
Este ano a ceia de Natal foi com o “inimigo”*, isto é, a ceia dos nossos filhos foi com os sogros e só no dia 25 nos juntámos toooodos lá, na aldeia. À ceia só eramos 11 adultos e duas crianças. Mais dois adultos e duas crianças ainda vieram dormir. 25 de manhã já havia 4 crianças.
A azáfama é sempre a mesma, mais calma este ano porque a casa ainda não estava tão cheia no dia 24.
*note-se que esta expressão não tem nada de ofensivo: a autora é a primeira sogra entrada para a família, que a utilizou com imensa graça e desde então todos os anos é utilizada; também foi esta querida sogra que comentou, quando o filho se casou com uma sobrinha minha, que o filho ficou não com uma, mas com três sogras! (somos três irmãs…)
… Chistmas has gone and here is 2009!
This year Christmas Eve was with the “enemy”*, that’s to say our children eve was at their in-laws and only on 25th December aaaaaall of us were together there, in the farm. At Christmas supper we were only 11 adults and two children. Two adults and two children still arrived late in the night. 25th morning we already had four children.
The great bustle is always the same, quieter this year because the home was not full yet on 24th
*….this expression is not offensive: its author is the first mother-in-law arrived at our family and she used it with very sense of humor and since then every year we use it; the same dear mother-in-law said (when her son married my niece) her son got not one but three mothers-in-law! (we are three sisters…)
