'This one's for you': Jodie Marsh appears to make thinly-veiled dig at ex-husband James Placido as she rants about a 'selfish, gold-digging a***hole'

And Jodie Marsh appeared to make a thinly-veiled dig at her estranged partner as she posted a feisty message about a 'selfish, gold-digging, free-ride, tag-along a**ehole' on her Instagram page.

Taking to the social media platform on Wednesday, the former glamour model posted a quote which read: 'I have fed mouths that have talked s*** about me. I've wiped tears off the faces of the people that have caused mine. I have picked up people that have tried to knock me down.'

Jodie Marsh was once known for her crazy and outlandish fashion choices, but these days, Jodie seems much more comfortable trampling through the fields in a pair of wellies.

The model and pin up girl showed off her girly side in a recent Instagram snap as she posed in a pair of cute pink denim dungarees. The dungarees featured rips at the knees and a traditional buckle front design but in this pretty pink shade they're even more adorable than usual. The quote continued: 'I've done favors for people that can do nothing for me. I have been there for people that have not been there for me. CRAZY? Maybe… But I will NOT lose myself in the hatred of others; I continue to be me because, I am who I am and it is my nature.

'Life isn't easy but even through all the bulls***… I will still be here, being me.'

The 37-year-old then added a lengthy statement in the caption, writing: 'This is the truest thing I've ever read about myself. Those people I fed and helped and wiped away their tears are no where to be seen now.

'And believe me, there's been a few!! But through all the bullshit I'm still here, being me, being kind and positive and STILL smiling.'

She continued: 'One of the reasons I love animals so much is that they never hurt you or stab you in the back. This quote literally sums up my life these last few years in relationships AND friendships, and you know what? I like it.

'I like that I'm 'that person' - I like that my worst trait is 'being too nice' and 'too generous'. It beats being the selfish, gold-digging, free-ride, tag-along ar**hole that does nothing but take from others and who uses people for what they want out of them and only ever thinks of themselves.

She concluded her emotional outpouring writing: 'I'd rather be me any day!!!!!!!! So to anyone I've ever fed or wiped away your tears, or spent money on, or looked after or helped in any way - this one's for you.'

Meanwhile, Jodie recently caught the attention of her fans as she sported a jumper that read, 'cheat'.

However, she clarified to a fan that the wording in fact read Cheat Day rather than hinting at the reason behind her break up.

Jodie wrote: 'thank you so much for your kindness and yes my top does say 'cheat day' Hahahaha. Every day is a cheat day at the moment as I'm going through a break up and chocolate is helping me haha X X X and thank you also you're so lovely X X X. X'

She previously shared the news of her separation with fans on Instagram, making it clear that her priority going forward would be man's best friend, her dogs.

Moving on: The 37-year-old took to the hair salon on Sunday to treat herself to a brand new 'do, before sharing the results with her 384,000 Instagram followers

'It is with sadness that I bring you the news that James and I have separated,' she wrote. 'I will be keeping all the dogs with me.'

The shock news comes despite the star's repeated claims that she had finally found her soul mate.

The former glamour model went as far to claim that five years of celibacy were 'worth every minute' as she has found The One in her new husband.

Jodie told OK! magazine in March: 'I recommend holding out for The One, because it worked for me.'

She also hailed James her 'soulmate' and explained the pair 'just knew' they were meant to be together when they first met in a car park of all places.

The Essex-born star said: 'When you meet your soulmate, everything clicks into place, and I really do love him. He's everything I've ever wanted in a man, and everything I thought never existed as well.'

'And literally, from the first week, he was like, 'Listen, I love you, I'm going to marry you and that's that', and I was like, 'You're f**king crazy but I love it'.'

She shocked fans when she revealed she'd married 'the love of her life' James in a secret ceremony in Barbados in August.

The ceremony was attended by a select few of their family members which included both of their mothers and the bride's father who walked her down the aisle.

The bodybuilder and the personal trainer's nuptials were a low-key affair with Jodie opting to forgo tradition, slipping into a £38.50 white plunging jumpsuit, while her groom also favoured an all-white dress code.

In October, Jodie revealed she met James in a car park, telling Star magazine: 'He got out of the car and we looked into each other's eyes. We both knew there and then we were going to be together. It was love at first sight.

'I feel sorry for every other woman in the world because they haven't got him and I have.'
