'I felt so much love': Pregnant Janet Jackson celebrates 50th birthday with 'low key affair'
She finally confirmed her pregnancy last Friday after weeks of rumors.
So it's no surprise Janet Jackson also decided to keep things low-profile for her 50th birthday on Monday.
The Rhythm Nation songstress chose to keep the festivities small, marking the occasion with only a select group of friends and her husband Wissam Al Mana, according to E! News.

A source for the publication revealed that 'Janet received many calls from her loved ones that couldn't be there with her on her birthday,' and that the pop star is trying to stay healthy for her and her baby.
Michael Jackson's sister did take some time to acknowledge birthday wishes from her fans however.
On Thursday she took to Twitter with a message of gratitude.
'Hey you guys, thank you so much for all the beautiful birthday wishes. I felt so much love... You are so sweet! I love you all,' she posted, before finishing the message with the hashtag 'unbreakable.'

Brother Jermaine Jackson, 61, was the first to confirm that his sister Janet was pregnant with her first child late last week
He told People Friday that he hopes she's having a girl because 'we need more girls in the family. There are too many boys.'
He added that it was hard to think of 'the baby of the family' now having a baby herself.

'She'll be a great mother because she is very tough, very strict,' he said.
'I'm proud to be an uncle and I can't wait to see how this baby is going to look.'
Before the big reveal Janet had posted a video on social media on April 6 to let fans know she was cancelling her current series of concerts to start a family with husband Wissam Al Mana.
'I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour,' she explained.
