FIRST PHOTO: Bachelor vet Melissa Rycroft shares snap of newborn baby boy Cayson from the hospital

Just a day old and already a social media star.

Melissa Rycroft released the first photo of her newborn baby boy Cayson on Thursday.

The 33-year-old captioned the black and white photo: 'Cayson Jack. 5-18-16. Welcome to the world, little one.'

The former Bachelor star's baby boy weighed in at 8lbs and 12oz, according to E! News, and the snap shows mother and son in her hospital room.

Tiny Cayson is Melissa and husband Tye Strickland's third child.

He joins five-year-old big sister Ava Grace and two-year-old brother Beckett Thomas.

Just last Thursday she posted a photo of herself lying on a sofa showing off her huge baby bump, captioned: 'How much longer you think?!?'

As it turned out, Melissa only had another six days to go

The Dancing With The Stars winner told E! News a few months before Cayson's arrival that she was much more chilled about the whole thing than she had been with her first two children.

Getting impatient: Last Thursday the 33-year-old posted a photo of herself lying on a sofa showing off her huge baby bump, captioned, 'How much longer you think?!?'

'We're at the very end of this pregnancy and my friends keep laughing at me because we don't even have a nursery,' she dished.

'I feel so unprepared, but at the same time, having gone through this twice before, I know the things you need with a newborn. I've learned the things to not stress about.'

And The FabLife co-host was coy when asked whether she and Tye were considering having more children.

'You can never say never. I say we're good to go, but my husband hasn't taken care of that permanently yet. As of now, I feel like we're going to be complete when he comes. We're going to be outnumbered, which is already a scary thing.'
