Luxe up your look with a brand new bag by William & Sons

The Cannes Film Festival has seen a lot of stars line its red carpets but now Hollywood royalty has arrived in the fabulous form of Helen Mirren.

The British actress can always be relied on to add some class to any proceedings and if this look as she touched down in the French town is anything to go by, we can't wait to see what she's got in store for us tonight.

Helen covered up her chic black trousers with a rather wonderful and dramatic blue coat which she accessorised perfectly with a sky blue bowler bag by William & Sons. There's nothing like some new arm candy to give your wardrobe a lift and this light blue shade makes a change from all the boring black we're used to.

Fresh from her flight, Helen looked the epitome of glamour as she arrived at famous celebrity haunt, the Hotel Martinez.

The Queen actress ensured her statement coat was the focal point of her look, dressing the bold garment down with a black top and skinny jeans.

Helen added a pair of stylish suede booties and a gold pendant, as well as an emerald cocktail ring.

She also shielded her eyes behind statement sunglasses.

Helen had made a welcome appearance on ITV chat show Lorraine the previous day, where she proved she's as fallible as the rest of us.

'I have a lot of regrets about moments of not paying sufficient attention to people, there are lot of moments in my life that I feel guilty about absolutely,' the actress told Lorraine Kelly on Tuesday.

Acknowledging that she felt her age, she said: 'Yes I feel it. Whatever 70 feels like I guess I feel like it I don't know, I've never been here before. I feel how I feel and I guess that's what 70 feels like.'

The Oscar-winning actress also revealed her love of creating clothes from scratch and said: 'I do make clothes yes, very bad clothes that I never actually wear but I love the actual making of them.

'I'm so happy at a sewing machine or at a fabric department at a store. I inherited it from my mother.'
