Britney Spears launches her new mobile game American Dream with company that developed Kim Kardashian Hollywood

Britney Spears has followed in Kim Kardashian's footsteps with a new mobile game.

Britney Spears: American Dream was released on Tuesday, and lets fans follow in the pop star's footsteps as they compete to climb the charts.

The 34-year-old 'mentors' players on the way to the top, as they record singles, videos and deal with rival pop stars and other players to try to reach #1.

The new game was designed by Glu Mobile, which also created Kim's lucrative hit Kim Kardashian Hollywood.

It casts players as a budding pop star who must amass a fan base in order to eventually duet with the 'I'm a Slave 4 U' singer.

American Dream includes Britney's music and clips from the star, and lets players design album covers.

The game maintains the same look as 'Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, which launched in 2014 and reportedly earned $200 million last year.

While both games are free to play, users make in-app purchases as they build up a wardrobe.

Britney shared a picture of her blonde avatar on Instagram as she announced the new game's launch on Tuesday.

'Become the next #AmericanDream,' she wrote. '@thebritneygame is now on the App Store and iTunes.'

The game lets fans live Britney's lifestyle, eating at her favorite restaurants, staying in her mansion and performing at Planet Hollywood, where the 34-year-old has her Piece Of Me residency.

Fans can also record and release songs and plan album covers as they try to make it in showbiz.

The Womanizer singer's new game comes as more celebrities are trying to cash in with mobile games.

'Britney's demographic is a bit older, and we wanted to incorporate music more than the other games,' said Glu President and CEO Niccolo de Masi.

Despite the success of 'Kim Kardashian: Hollywood,' Glu hasn't matched that game's success.

A spin-off starring the Jenner sisters fizzled on Apple's charts after 'Kendall & Kylie' initially debuted at No. 1 in February.
