Sure to be a frosty reception! Sansa stands with her back to treacherous Littlefinger in new Game Of Thrones portrait

He arranged for her to marry the brutal rapist Ramsay Bolton.

And it looks like Sansa Stark is more than a little peeved with her former friend Littlefinger in new Game Of Thrones pictures released on Wednesday.

In one dramatic image she is standing with her back to her former ally, who she may be forced to rely on if the fledgling Stark uprising against the army of Ramsay Bolton is to stand any chance of success.

For Petyr's sake: Littlefinger will be hoping he does not incur the wrath of disgruntled Sansa Stark after photos from the forthcoming episode show a distinctly chilly meeting between the former allies

In the previous episode Littlefinger, whose full name is Petyr Baelish, used his hold over young Lord Robin Arryn, whose mother he of course threw to her doom in front of a gleeful Sansa, to call the Knights Of The Vale to arms.

And given Jon's once gargantuan Wildling army is currently only 2,000 strong, while Ramsay is somehow able to muster a force of 5,000 according to super-scout Sansa, it looks like they will need all the help they can to succeed on the battlefield.

Whether Petyr, who is the master of cunning plans, will finally miscalculate and come a cropper remains to be seen.

Of course anyone looking to get more than cryptic clues about the contents of the episode, which is titled The Door, are in for disappointment, as the official synopsis is typically vague.

Given a snap of Jon, resplendent in House Stark armour, is shown seeming locked in intense conservation with Sansa and her burly bodyguard, it is reasonable to surmise that quest could be to enlist the services of Mr Baelish.

Another shot released is rumoured to be taken from Bran's instructional trip to the past to see the legendary Night's King a legendary Lord Commander of the Night's Watch whose history seems key to that of the frightful White Walkers.

Phew: Daenerys managed to find some new clothes after the were incinerated at the end of the last episode

Meanwhile Daenerys seems in a jolly mood as she stands alongside her lover-cum-bodyguard Daario, the pair mysteriously staring into the distance.

Perhaps most exciting of all is the first shot of busty new priestess Kinvara, who is played by the physically gifted Ania Bukstein. The sexy Israeli actress will certainly split the loyalties of loyal fans of Melisandre, who is played by the brilliantly buxom Carice van Houten.

Finally it seems the newly tamed Arya will finally get a chance to try out her skills as an assassin.

She is shown frolicking around in the Hall Of Faces with her mentor Jaqen H'Ghar, who is no doubt imparting more words of wisdom gleaned from the fortune cookies of Braavos.
