And Catherine Tyldesley showed off the results of her hard work in the gym on Wednesday as she indulged her passion for fashion at the VIP preview of her friend Michelle Keegan's new summer collection for Lipsy.

The Coronation Street actress looked incredible in a chic little black dress from Lipsy as she joined an equally glam Gemma Merna at the Manchester bash.

Catherine, 32, showcased her svelte figure in her tight number.

The on-trend off-the-shoulder style showed off the actress' toned and tanned shoulders, while the fitted cut and gold belt emphasised her trim waist.

Catherine added a pair of classic nude heels and carried a black tote bag, while she left her blonde locks loose and flowing around her shoulders.

Ex Hollyoaks star Gemma also highlighted her gym-honed physique in a chic black and white stripe jumpsuit, layered under a cropped jacket.

She added to the edgy vibe with a pair of peep-toe shoe boots, and slipped on some shades for the walk to the party.

Catherine welcomed her first child, son Alfie, a year ago, and is currently planning her wedding to partner Tom.

The soap star has been keeping up her fitness in a bid to look her best on her big day, telling OK! magazine last month of her workout regime:

'At the moment I'm so busy with work it's 2 times a week, but ideally it'd be 4. A 45-minute routine is mainly weight training with High Intensity Interval Training at the end of the session.'

'I feel stronger than ever and I was leg pressing 30 stone the other day! I've gone from 22 per cent body fat after having Alfie to 13.7.'

'My main focus is looking good for my wedding but I'm also doing TrekFest in June which is a 50km walk in Brecon Beacons, so I need to do some practice.'
