This test included everything from biology to physics and I was given a huge book that summarizes all of high school science, separated into sections of biology, chemistry, physics and math.I had maybe like 2 months to read this book and memorize everything that was inside of it. What I did for the bio part was try to read fast but also read things many times so hopefully, something stuck with me so I could answer some easy bio questions in the test. In the end, I passed my test and I got in, good times.All I can say is that having to review such a long list of topics without having anyone to grade you for it is tiresome. You just keep memorizing more and more facts but because you are not school and there is no test coming you really do not know how you would do when finally taking the test. Fortunately, the book they gave me also came with a couple of practice exercises but grading yourself is not the same as having someone else grade you.

just finished my first year of bio and second year starts end of January. Never took bio previously in highschool because I wanted to pursue physics and maths but decided to say fuck that. The way I found learning plants especially but it can apply to other branches of biology is flash card done on a daily basis. Downloaded an app called anki and whenever I found a key point I'd write a question about it with an answer then do the reverse of that question so it was 2 questions for every key aspect. In the end I had around 100 questions + a few small things from other parts like zoology and just kept going back to it day after day.

Does anyone else think the whole automation thing is being way overblown? I get the distinct feeling that this will be the new "where's my flying car?" I've been tracking LEO satellites using an Azimuth Elevation rotor and a Yagi antenna and was wondering if it was possible to pick up signals from the satellites around the Moon or even Mars using a similar setup but with a 6-feet or 8-feet dish. Hey /sci/, 19 year old first year medfag here, for the past two months my sleeping was really poor quality because of anxiety. On average I only got about 3-5 hours of sleep per night because I would need insane amounts of time to fall asleep. Naturally, I wasn't feeling very smart during this because of sleep deprivation, but for the past week, I've been sleeping normally 7-9 hours, yet I still don't feel like my usual self. It's like I need more time and effort to process information that wasn't difficult before. My question is, is it possible that I've developed irreversible brain damage from sleep deprivation over the course of almost two months? I want to quit med school and start studying physics but I won't be able to do that if my brain doesn't work well anymore.
Your brain is sleep deprived and overworked. You need to sleep for 9 to 10 hrs at least for a week to get back on the saddle and i recommend some vitamin b complex with caffeine to restrengthen your central nervous system ().
