Do brakers just stop working with age?

I just had an entire circuit in my house die when I flipped on a light. The braker wasn't flipped when I checked it. Turned it off and on but i'm still not getting any power to the circuit.

I'll test it in the morning when I have light, but it seemed weird to me.

If you have multiple light switches for the same light one can be completely isolated from the hot wire, see pic related, thus no voltage is detected.
No idea why it doesn't trigger on your outlets, it's peobably just crappy.

Appliances with large metallic surfaces can amplify the capacitive effect, but you shouldn't worry too much.

It might just be your attitude, it sure as hell was in my case. Whenever I did something like that as a child/teenager my Dad would eventually came to stand behind me and berate and worry about every little thing I did, even if it was something I knew my shit about and he didn't, like computers for example, sapping all potential joy and will to do anything out of me, while poisoning my mind at the same time, with a "let's just do nothing attitude, I will fuck up anyway" attitude.

I eventually lived on my own, in this rather old flat, which was great, aside from a few things. The most annoying thing were the fucking hinges on the kitchen cupboard that were fucked up and caused the cupboard to not close properly at all. Anyway, after years of living with this annoying cupboard I realized that my dad wasn't here and I just could fix that shit without his constant bitching and if I were to fuck it up I could just leave the fucked up cabinet doors uninstalled, it was just me living here after all. Then I got new hinges and just fixed it. It took me rather long, but eventually I managed to repair it perfectly, everything was aligned nicely and for the first time in years that cupboard closed properly.

Sorry if this idea seems kinda retarded, but I've grown fond of it

Basically, I want to make a speed reader thingy such as gif related, using a raspberry pi and a backlit lcd, I would mount it on the wall in front of my bed so I can read stuff before falling asleep, the backlit display is obviously there to read with the lights turned off in the room.

I have some programming experience, but I don't know if regular backlit LCD displays would be able to handle 600+ WPM, or whether the raspberry pi is the cheapest hardware I could use to power this thing.

My idea consists of adding a small wireless dongle and an lcd to an embedded device, and then running a daemon on the device, it will wait for a client to connect and send text, which will be displayed at the speed that the user picks. I will build an android app to open PDFs/epubs/whatever, select the text, and then transmit the data and WPM setting to the daemon, via wireless connection.

I think it's kinda neat, but I've had some retarded ideas before, any suggestions or thoughts?

Many options, but on amazon and other sites, you have to pay attention when buying. There is 4 items I suggest you make sure is in the bundle:

Now what you want in the mix of above is to either get a microSD card and load it yourself with a Pi OS or have it bundled.
