Why haven't you met Constantine yet?
How do ya know I'm not Constantine, guv'nor?
>>97400222Second that. He is a wreck and best watched from a distance.
Because I didn't bought enough LSD yet
>>97400009Because He's fucking Dangerous, and everyone he crosses paths with inevitably dies in Ssme horrible, Hhrrible manner.
Because Sting was never good outside of the Police
HelloI want to read The Royals: Masters of War but it is not in my country. I cannot find it on the internet. I am not a comics reader so I do not know where to look. I do not speak good English so it is harder. Can someone help me find it please?
Bump
>>97399732http://readcomiconline.to/Comic/The-Royals-Masters-of-WarYou welcome. Send me a blowjob to my webzone.
>>97399732Oh yes, i forgot about that. It's on, read comics online .to (remove spaces)
>>97399732man that sure was a bizarre comic.kinda liked the ending but still was weird.anyway something like this would never been made in todays sjw occupied comic industry.too bad
>>97402100It's three years old
How would the heroes of Marvel deal with him
>>97397346They were even in the crossover comics in the 90's. Fucking pleb.
>>97394645>Four lobes
>>97387697The would use either the Ultimate Nullifier or our Lord and Saviour Franklin Richards (We need the F4 back to earth)
>>97396205You're retarded and apparently you don't read comics.Even if Darkseid had schemes like Thanos, that means that DS would triumph and no one could stop him, given the fact that he doesn't have that stupid weakness of defeating himself subconsciously. Darkseid with the Infinity Gauntlet would be a far bigger and scarier threat.
>>97397278DC's Thanos.
Issue, story arc, graphic novel, doesn't matter. Do you have a single favorite book?Pic related. Kabuki is my favorite series and if I had to pick one single arc from it it would be Skin Deep. I love introspective fiction and fucked up psychotherapy is really good when employed well Satan: His Psychotherapy and Cure by the Unfortunate Dr. Kassler, J.S.P.S is a fantastic book that uses this. The art is very deep, though I think Circle of Blood is more layered, this is filled to the brim with hidden meanings and makes rereading very worth while. 2nd best story arc I think is Image, I like poetry and the art is fantastic
I already loved Doom and Strange from reading Secret Wars and early Ditko as a kid but this comic crystallized everything I love about these two characters into one solid and compelling story and Mike Mignola's art is just fantastic.
Stray BulletsAs for graphic novels- I know it's cliche, but Ghost World hit me hard.
I have to join the others with Sandman, it's really a life-changing comic.Although Cerebus up until #200 is pretty damn good, and Lucifer's ending hits you hard. Transmetropolitan is probaby my favorite in regards to sci-fi elements.
>>97395576I didn't pick up on that, but that totally makes sense. I just thought it was Virtue but that didn't really make sense to me.>>97396289Or her mother/daughters boobs she shows off to people too
I can’t remember the exact issue, but there’s a Marvel team-up where Iron Man, Spidey, and Doctor Strange have to stop Jean DeWolf’s dad from pinning his crimes on his catatonic son (psychic powers, shit got crazy). I got it when I was a kid, and now that issue is so dog-eared I had to tape the cover on.
worst episode.
>>97401554That's not the one with the AA meeting that turns sad. It's so bad they just blow up their house with shake in it.
>>97401305I figured. Just like LARPing for "lying on the internet"
>>97401495>all those empty seatswe'll get more people one day
I hope this series becomes a kinda meta or at least very self-aware thing, like Venture Bros, or even how KO kinda is.But no more of these shorts about other shows
>>97401305Its literally an ARG though.
>>97401925but the ones with seats where hardcore fans
> Favorite animated version of her?> Favorite moment with her in the Dceu so far?> Hopes & Ideas for her sequels?
>>97399087The person who drew this im pretty sure is autistic
>>97399731They distroyed one
>>97398894how does she fight in those heels?
>>97399938"Justice League's Next Top Idol Star" from Teen Titans Go!
I'm on episode 5, for a show called the runaways, are they ever going to runaway?
>>97399562End of season one, the Daredevil thing.
>>97399562>are they ever going to runaway?Yeah, when the show gets cancelled.
>>97400471Why would it be?
>>97399562Haven't seen this yet. Doesn't it follow the comic storylines? They ran away immediately in that
>>97401533Got to build it up, we can't have a million flashbacks.
When did you realize that Jackie Chan Adventures was a nearly perfect show?
>>97389430Jade was probably the only flaw, she was just insufferable. Other than that yeah, it was far better than it had any right to be.
>>97390531his voice is forever engrained in by brain
>>97401565Yeah, the show would have been great without Jade. But it was a kids' show so...meh.
>>97389430interconnected wacky adventuresif i had to choose, probably each seasons finale especially for the last where Shendu teams up with Jackie and his gang
>>97395680I just realized Jade is DW
Literally no one would've bitched if they used her as the emotionless sex doll in Rhato instead of Starfire.
>>97400145>You can tell that whoever made this post has not watched “Switched”, or likely even a single episode of Teen Titans.
>>97399923This makes me angry, not because "Wah, why is my Starfire different." But because it has no attempt to understand business. If 2 million people watched Teen Titans, how many of those, would actually think about a cartoon they watched as kids 5 or 6 years ago? How many of those people would actually be willing to spend money on a comic, especially considering they've obviously not done so before? Then you also have to consider if that would be a sustainable customer relationship, are those people that don't normally buy comics, actually going to be hooked, and continue to buy comics just because it was similar to a cartoon you watched as a kid?
>>97398609I vehemently dislike Lobdell's early n52 stuff, but Kom is one of the few thinks I actually got to like there
>>97400571>But because it has no attempt to understand business. You're seeing art only through the lense of money. Authors want to live from their writing but also write what they like even if it's not what the majority likes.
>>97401480If you ignore the fact that artists and authors are at their best when they use subjects that they are intimately familiar with. And that even if they are opposed their art should at least be informed by the subject. It takes at most 10 minutes to work out that in the real world those 2 million people aren't the target audience of a comic book about edgy batboy and pals, and they never were.
Now that the dust has settled, can we admit Frank just doesn’t work as solo live action character? He may be able to carry a comic but live action is a very different medium. He’s like Hulk and Thor: Works better as a supporting character.
>>97391122He'd work if they had any fucking balls and committed to what makes the character entertaining instead of delivering this half assed Jason Bourne garbage.
>>97391122You could do action movies all day with him. TV series would probably get old.
>>97391835Ang Lee Hulk is greatThe Incredible Hulk is a really good action movie too
>>97391122lundgren punisher still the best live action version
>>97391122He would work fine solo live-action.But they pussyfooted around and added extra shit. Anything "doesn't work" when it's executed poorly, if you can't figure that out then go back to /tv/
ITT: Post tropes you despise present in Comics And Cartoons.Remember, if you think this thread doesn't belong on this board, you don't. These threads were active before they started getting locked daily. If anyone has the balls to give their half-baked reasoning for this on an anonymous message board where nothing you say can actually be traced back to you, that'd be alright, but I'd honestly just prefer uncensored discussion of annoying tropes.Previous thread: >>97388181

cartoon, but whatever>new character is introduced that episode is centered around>never fucking appears again
>hero loses everything that makes him an effective hero>powers, magic items, maybe even the suit>yes even if his "powers" are just things his alien species can do>he tries to be a hero anyway even though he's ineffective and a burden without his powers>he lucks out and saves the day>"Even without my powers, I can still be a hero!"
>rules of the setting are established>some extra-speshul characters get to be exceptions to these rules>the rules are still in place for everyone elsealso>character has near-limitless super strength>character never thinks to flick bullets or throw knives or chuck rocks/cars hard enough to obliterate buildings/city blocks/continents>no let's just punch people with the same fucking three punches and one kick all comic artists useand the classic>hero punches the ground>this somehow creates a focused earthquake GAMMA WAVE! style that only hurts the target.
>characters only ever use the same set of generic brawler/karate/MMA punches, kicks, and sweeps. Magical super-judo is sometimes also used>yes even if some of these characters are supposedly masters of twenty thousand martial arts styles>a character with a bow is just as effective as a magic character, because the magic character usually just fires missile-like spell blasts and occasionally does something a trick arrow could do better>animating golems is usually the most advanced thing we see out of magic users
what does /co/ think of Bob Kanes Batman?
Why were Finger and Kirby so beta? Why did they let Lee and Kane cuck them so hard?
>>97401350>>97401398So what you're telling me is that you're a sore permavirgin?
>>97401141Forgot pic.
>>97401056>put the absolute bare minimum effort into creating a profitable superhero to bank off of the first wave of capeshit synergy left during Supermania, and ultimately just ended up utilizing the ideas of Bill Finger (and other creators, like Jerry Robinson) while his only original contribution to comic book history was the name "Bat-Man", which was initially tacked to an unusably shitty looking generic pulp hero with no meaningful context or characterization (see: OP's pic)>plagiarized constantly from a myriad of different sources throughout his career, from other comic books to movie visuals (Batman's first appearance alone has several straight-up retraced panels, some are even recolored wrong because he had so little ability to comprehend what he was drawing)>shamelessly took credit for other people's work - art, in particular - and explicitly passed it off as his own (somebody will post the clown painting parable eventually ITT, I didn't save it myself but just give it time)>seized the creative royalties over the Batman franchise by being an underhanded fuck who threw as many people under the bus as possible, including the creators of Superman since he appealed to DC by whistle-blowing on them before they could step up about their own creative rights>in general was reportedly just an all around asshole, basically the living embodiment of The Penguin who thought he was playing "Bruce Wayne">also, allegedly sold his likeness to the Third Reich's propaganda ministry and became an anti-semetic boogeyman character that /pol/ still uses to this dayHe made Stan "The Lich" Lee look like a goddamn saint by comparison. Lee was definitely an asshole on some accounts, but on that front Bob was in a league of his own.
>>97401323if it wasnt for Lee Spidey wouldnt have his quips and would instead be a beta sperg like Ditko intended
Stan Lee and his brother Larry still do daily Spider-Man strips set during the early 70's. Aunt May is still old as shit and there's not a trace of multiverse garbage to be had. Here's today's Spectacular Strip.
>>97398892Alex Saviuk and Ron Frenz are my heroes. They still very much have a classic House Style and I love them for it.Saviuk is one of the definitive Spidey artists for me
>>97398892What's stopping them is that 70s Spider-Man comics are SHIT and anybody who is not a nostalgic retard will hate it
>>97397591wait what? really? Isn't he like 100 years old?
>>97399677Like he gives a shit. Dude's 88
>>97399677I would assume there could be a ghost writer.
Only watched vanilla and the shitty sequel where he was a teen.
>>97398337I think they were both kind of similar in the kididshness. It's just that one of the shows had "mature" teenagers and the other had goofy kids.
>>97398684agreed. I liked the OS because it felt more self-aware, like it knew not to take itself overly seriously, but still enough to make or cool episodes. Vilgax and Ghostfreak were awesome villains. Maybe its because I started with the OS, but I hated what they did with Kevin in the new shows.
>>97395093It has only been rebooted ONCE.The original series, alien force and Omniverse all shared the same timeline.Ben10 (2016) is the new universe where the story taken place after the 2010s . An era when smartphone has become common. The original Ben10 took place in the mid 2000s era but before 2010s. It was before smartphone was invented. By Alien force and near the end of Omniverse, Ben10's timeline was at the emergence of the iPhone and android. Probably around 2012. Same timeline as Gravity Falls.
>>97398181>And the Reboot's actually good on it's own merit, That is untrue.
