I'm not even fucking kidding when I say that Tora and Poppi are two of my favorite videogame characters of all time. I can't believe there are people who call Tora a Jar-Jar Binks like. Fuck them. Honestly, I think it's a god damn miracle this game exists and I'm so happy it does. It is, through the good and bad, a JRPG that fell through a wormhole from 15 years ago. Huge ass developed world, tons of sidequests, dozens of ridiculous, almost unnecessary mechanics, a lighthearted story full of fun and whacky characters who all have each other's backs, and so much more.I love this game, and I think I'll be cherishing it for a long time because from what's leaked out, it looks like Monolith are finally joining the other Japanese developers in trying to 'westernize' their games. If anything, I would expect the nations to kind of splinter, with the separatists fighting not because of resources and land, but just because the old grudge is something they can't let go. It's a matter of principle and pride now. But then of course, this also means that Rex and the Garfont Mercenaries might have a lot of work, protecting the innocent. Nia would probably become a priestess or something. Healing the sick and wounded. Who knows what Zeke would do. Maybe become an explorer? The ending was way better than in XC1I didn't really like the sci-fi twist at the end of XC1. It felt a little too out of nowhere and I felt the game could have done without it. In XC2 however I thought it was done really well, with how Klaus talked about humanity and recreating life and how everything was doomed to repeat itself. I love how the beanstalk sattelite became the world tree. Also keeping Malos as the main villain throughout the entire story was such a good call. XC1 really fell off story wise at the end because Egil was so damn good and then suddenly you have to deal with this dumb asshole whiney bitch god. Malos is one of the first and last boss you go up against and it feels good for it to go full circle like that.

You know what? Zeke's super slow Smash animation is actually really easy for timing fusion combos. You can just Launch, press ZL/ZR, and switch to Smash. It lines up perfectly to fit both Launch and Smash with your teammate's Special.

Blue can be repeated, but many blue mercs give different rewards the first time you do them so they aren't truly repeatable.Reason to do Commons is that if you repeatedly send a particular common on merc missions you can eventually max its affinity chart, getting you WP boosting items.

You can use the moveset of the hammer to shield from huge attacks which can save you from a wipe. For the most part however, just keep people pure roles until you get time to be creative
