Mages are still pretty much wiz 3 ele 3 if you want to do damage, and capable of making no-damage builds due to nerfs of several classes. For cleric anything after cleric 2 is fine but be wary of stats required, for swords HL2 is the base, also 4 new classes are being added on tuesday, so you'll get to mess around then probably.
