the only point in going to a gun show is to hold guns to find the one that feels good in your hands.

milsurp is all online now.
>>

Yeah right, only if you wave the cash to buy it in their face, otherwise they'll tell you to keep your grubby mitts off everything until ready to buy.

I remember them not being so bad hen I was a kid. Like what's the point in them anymore?

don't know what shows you're going to. even the greedy 400 pound jackass that is a regular at one of my local shows will let you hold his old valuable stuff if you just ask. all the major gun dealer tables have enough people to just watch everyone and let their guns get picked up freely.
>>
>>36111016
I enjoy going to them with no expectations in mind. I don't go out of my way to travel to one anymore, but if I'm already traveling and there is one, $8 ticket price isn't bad for either some laughs at how retarded the fuds are or being amazed at the wives selling bright pink CCW purses. Or the guy REALLY trying to shill his steel plates at 200% market value.

went to a gun show once, and there seemed to be loud tazer booths every 15 feet with fucking assholes zapping the air or something constantly making this horrid buzzing sound.

Lots of overpriced AR's. Couple cool booths with some over priced nazi ww2 shit, and some patches.

Those fucking tazer faggots though.

>>
>>36111016
The last two I've been to have been pretty boring and I didn't spot a single deal worth jumping on. I still enjoy hanging around a shit load of guns so they have that going for them, but I don't ever expect to buy anything at them. Surprised the ubiquitous jerky guy wasn't at yours, they never fail to appear at the ones around me. Along with the old lady selling lotion, bless her heart she tries so hard and I've never seen her make a sale.
>>
Gun dealing is a cabal.

Also there are people out there that have FFL's just to increase their collection's and get dealer price. You can't legally hold a FFL just for that since you must show "you are in the business of dealing in firearms". So they get a table bring in some of their collection and price not to sell.

Over the years I met some of them. They even warned me not to buy from them and pointed me to websites were I could get what I wanted for cheap. The best one was in 1999, M11 subgun's market value was $1,200. The guy pointed me to a website were a dealer was selling M11 NIB for $699. Fuckers ~$5k market now. I remember him kindly everytime I pick up that gun.

OR COLT SIX GUNS!?!
Why are Colts suddenly so fuckin expensive?
Why are they now thousands of dollars for a six gun that has either been re-blued, all polished off blueing, or just in terrible condition with new grips. I don't care if it is from the 1880's-90's I am not paying 5k for a reworked piece of junk. I got a single action army colt in 32-20 all original blueing in very good condition for 2k just 4 years ago. Now they are going for 6k? What happened, what did I miss?
>>
Gun shows are kinda like Mosins - they were a great deal years ago, but once the secret got out there, too many people started trying to get in on the action, prices went up to take advantage of bandwagon-jumpers who didn’t know any better, and the whole deal turned into an expired meme.

I went to the local gun show today to look for surplus stuff, was trying to find a k31 for my first surplus rifle but only found a ton of k11s, anywhere from 400 to 600 dollars. I also saw a finnish m39 and an israeli mauser for around 400 dollars. I'm trying to decide what to get and am going to go back tomorrow. Any advice?

I was at the right place at the right time for the deal back in 1999. The site was the NFA ad boards at subguns.com. Going there time to time they seem to price thing at going rate on things mostly.

The last gun show I went to was in Greenville SC. Want to talk about backwoods redneck scumbags? These tobacco-chewing freaks would literally plow through anyone in their way. They were all overweight and smelled terrible.

As for the show itself, nothing decent was there at all. Everything was overpriced- no deals anywhere.

Walked out after 30 minutes and some fuck had parked his rustbucket faggot truck 3" from my driver's side door. Had to crawl in through the other side to get out.

I haven't visited a gun store since then either. Really made me want to avoid association with those inbred fucks.

Alaska is more isolated and more expensive, but like 10/10 badass in terms of wilderness. Montana has incredible wilderness as well, but much lower cost of living and a bit closer to civilization. I would recommend montana, but I'm also pretty biased. Just stay away from browning and Billings and it's phenomenal

My favorite thing about gun shows is that the liberal media seems to think they're just these orgies of barely-legal commerce where machine guns change hands with nothing more than a wink and a nod.

No, it's just a bunch of greedy assholes and a bunch of chap assholes trying to out-asshole one another.

>>
All city gun shows suck ass in my experience, with two notable exceptions: the fun show they have just outside of Austin TX and one in Santa Rosa, of all places. Both were really nice. The vendors were all nice and would talk with you endlessly about gun stuff, and there was a nice assortment of firearms at reasonable prices.

All the others have been fucking horrible. Go to rural gun shows in little towns or out at the county fairgrounds.

I brought a cousin from NJ to one a while back in NC. she lost her shit then realized once i explained to her how much everything was overpriced and no one was willing to do private sales. This really. I'm in the Portland area and the Portland shows are mostly big exhibitors. There's a bunch of smaller ones too that have cool stuff, but mostly it's AR stuff and new handguns.

Today I went to the show at Chehalis, which is great, then to the one in Vancouver, which is a small collector's show and so it's breddy gud, then I went to Rickreall, which was also pretty good. If it wasn't for the fact that I already have a ton of 'surp I could have bought 4 or 5 guns today alone.

Literally the only people who are even selling guns at gun shows are greedy boomers and fudds, of course they're gonna be price gouging.
Even if there are good deals, most of the time they get bought up within the first 10 minutes of the show opening by said boomers and fudds.

My dad and I try to go to as many of the local show as we can. We've each bought a lot of firearms, and found some really good shit on occasion. I've passed on some phenomenal deals I didn't know were great until I got home, like a dibshit.
HOWEVERRRR...
For every one good deal on an uncommon milsurp rifle, or hard-to-find slavshit, there are 1,000 fudd cunts trying to pawn off $800 fake Jungle Carbines, white trash mall-ninja trash wholesalers, and ladies selling their shitty home-made jewelry or, art, or whatever the fuck. I would wager that at least 60% of attendees are baby-boomer cunts who can't stop sniffing their own assholes, and only attend to exchange bullshit stories about their pathetic lives. Fuck these niggers. I never see them buy anything, they're walking sacks of shit, most of them smell and have no sense of personal space, and are just generally unpleasant because to be a poor, or middle-class boomer, you have to have a sub-100 IQ.

I'm certain that once these faggots die out, gun shows will die with them since they're primarily social functions for NRA-loving, cuckservative boomer scum to jerk each other off.

This is my experience too. I went to a big gun show a week ago and I actually came wanting to buy something if anything jumped out at me but everything was well over market prices, sometimes $100-200 over. Doesn't make much sense.
>>
>>36116449

Probably. My experience at shows is similar. 90% of it is old fucks selling overpriced shotguns and durr rifles to other old fucks.

Shit I had one show where the guy behind me in line said he was there to buy ammo, not like, super rare ammo, just .380 IIRC.

But I'll miss them when they're gone, because it's fun to walk around and fondle old guns, the internet can't replace that.

>>36116469

Manufacturing and selling firearms without a license is a no-no.

>>36116476

Puyallup is about an hour further than I'd like to drive for a fun show, but Chehalis is my favorite besides maybe Albany, and Albany is only twice a year.

>>36116489

Because making a gun yourself for yourself is legal, making a gun yourself for someone else isn't, unless you have a license.

you can't build a firearm for someone. an 80 percent isn't a firearm. If you machine it into one for yourself, you're good. If you do it for someone else, its dog shooting time.

I expected a nice, small knit community when I get done with my contract, and now I’m going back to a state that is halfway through the process of Starbucks and ear guage bullshit. Shut your damn mouth.

Depends on the gun show and when you go to them. I got an Osprey 6-24 X 50 a 3 and 5 inch sunshades and a green dot laser site for $550.00 out the door. The trick is if you know the place isn't normally loaded all the time. Go in the last day about noon or just after. Most merchants don't want to have to pack up their shit and carry it back.

life is suffering my fellow big dicked brother.
>get banned for being too tall 6'1 vs everyone else 5'11
>lay my meat out on the table
>break table
>japanese men in area all commit sudoku from it being bigger than them
>guards from the taser booths chase me down and throw me into the popcorn mines
I only escaped last week. I barely made it out.

Pick up the M39 and the Israeli Mauser; the Mauser is 100% worth the asking price.

I'm so excited for all these upcoming market fluxes!

If it was really Finnish then $350 is a good deal these days. Some Finnish Mosins can go for 2 or 3 times that.

If the seller had it labeled as an SKS it's pretty fair to assume he had no idea what the value was, could have been worth a grand. Sweaty Ben claims to have recently auctioned a Tikka M39 for more than a grand.

Sad to hear about the ones that got away, that fudd probably sold it to someone who will never know what it is.

also
>poorfag looking for deals
>can't buy a $350 rifle

Pretty much relegates you to Hi-points and Mav 88s.

any AL going to this weeks gun show?
>>
I'm glad the gun shows around me have cracked down on what people can and can't sell. They used to have people selling bullshit like laptops, furniture, cheap airsoft guns, tvs, etc.

Not that I really go to them anymore, the only people there are dindus and fudds.

>also looking for the faggot that sold me stripper clips last time but hes not there
>stop by one vendor
>see Savage No 4 Mk1* on rack
>$1000
>Wut.jepg
>"excuse me, is that a Lee Enfield?"
"SURE IS! ITS A SNIPER VARIANT"
>Has shitty Aftermarket repro sight mount and a shitty scope
>starts trying to sell me on this "Sniper Variant"
"Yeah its a Savage No4. They pretty awesome."
>"Yeah i know, i just bought one in October for $225, 1943 dated etc"
".....Oh, you got a good deal"
>"yup"
>puts Rifle back on rack and walks away ending the conversation right there

I still dont know if he was sad that maybe when he bought his that he got fucked on it or if he realized he was talking to someone that actually knew what they were looking at.

Id say i cant wait for the Boomers to die out, but my Grandpa is a Boomer and hes based as fuck. hes also not doing so good right now and im a little worried about him making it through next year.

my granddad is part of the WW2 generation, barely, and he said his generations time has passed. He also said he's bummd out for being so old, because its just starting to get cool, and turning into the future.

The Old Man is Cyberpunk as fuck. If only there was some kind of DNA modification to keep him alive for hundreds of years like Julie dean in Neuromancer.

The one in the Heights? I saw if advertised on TGT, but decided to skip and play Dark Souls 2. Glad to see I made the right choice.

Depends on the show and venue. Before I moved to a liberal hellhole you could by an AMD-65 for $350 or a tokarev for $120 easy. Most of the time you're paying MSRP; maybe high or low if the FFL thinks you're funny or you have a punch-able face.

It's not the gun show, it's your area. If you're not involved in the local gun community, get in there...Chances are they know what's up and where the good deals are. You can always tell when anti-gun legislation is potentially pending because prices shoot through the roof at gun shows. Before Hillary, you could buy Glocks for $300-400 and during her run it shot up to $550 minimum. One guy wanted $900 for a frankenglock made with shitty Timberwolf aftermarket stuff because it was "custom" I had to look up all the parts and prove that it was worth less than $500 and easy enough to put together that labor wasn't worth any upcharge.

I wasn't punchable enough for him to argue and got it for $400.

As a Canadian if I went to a gun show with those prices I'd be pretty happy desu.
>>
Funny last gun show I went to had tons of reasonably priced stuff. AR accessories at 1/2 the market price, cool surplus shit for real cheap, and some guns that were being sold at market price.

Going back there next week. Hoping to get a good price on a Mossberg 500, if I don't then I'll just buy some accessories.

Where?? Been looking for a k11/k31, would prefer a k11.

>went to small gun show in Ohio yesterday
>scouring all the tables for beer keg charging handles
>from the end of the row, spot two k31's
>feelsgoodman.jpg
>rush over to prepare to fork over sheckels
>both rifles in 6/10 condition, sign says $800 each

Guy wouldn't come down a penny, search continues
