So I'm going to a semi-nice dinner event and I need advice. I will need to buy a shirt and pants. I have khakis but they are way too skinny. I don't know what would look good with what I have.

Pic related are the tie options.
I have brown boots and a brown braided belt.
What color/style pants and shirt should I get?

I know the ties and boots aren't ideal but they are what I have.
>>
I do have a red shirt, but red and blue together would look a little silly, no?
>>
dont wear a tie if its 'semi-nice'
dont wear brown boots thinking they're anything near formal lol

look for something in the darks for the trousers
and then a light/white coloured top and bam
all your normie friends will think you're a fashion killer
>>
>>12976588
Well, it's definitely tie-level
And the boots are the only thing I have that aren't sneakers, so they'll have to do.

Dark pants, light shirt. Got it. Thank you!

unless you think I could get away with wearing black hi-top vans? haha

I stopped wearing sneakers and hoodies and naturally stopped giving a fuck about showing off recognisable brand pieces

I usually just wear shirts and a good jacket, leather derbies or boots depending on the weather, wool trousers or 80s jeans style slacks, same hair as my pic. I consider anything recognisable (e.g. the balenciaga meme shoes) to be trite and irritating and usually a red flag about the kind of person who drops $900 on a pair of shoes just to flex and signal

>>12976151
If it is, I've been in it for 7 years
>>
What kind of shoes do you wear for casual then?

Despite his fashion, I would not operate with him. Not looking to get shot by a friendly.
>>
I still wear sneakers and hoodies because I don't have to stop being comfortable because I'm older.
>>
When I became an adult I started getting into formal and semi-formalwear, thanks to my rich girlfriend at the time. A lot of pressure for me to keep up appearances during events and around her family when it was appropriate. Pretty grateful for the experience, coming from a working class family.

Fashion moves so fast and has such a big output. How many designers are there working right now? How many clothes do they make each season? How many clothes have been designed to this day?

What I wonder is if you can even become a designer anymore and create a consistent body of work for several years without being boring or ripping off other designers or making totally crazy unwearable clothing.

What do you think?

>I have one conviction about what style should be. Maybe for my own brand, it’s a bit more urban, a bit more Maoist. It’s very much about trying to create a uniform. At Hermès, it will always be more about travel, more colours, more prints.

Everything is stolen from each other and nothings original. If you think it is, nobody was paying close enough attention to what they stole from anyway.

Hard to do better

To be better you need better faces, better body, better quality leathers
>>
brown boots are gay, olive pants are gay, grey melange sweaters are gay, most people look gay in brown leather jackets especially fleece lined aviators.

does that answer your question
>>
>>12976511
i take it back grey melange is ok. maybe all the other things are okay too. one thing that is not okay is looking like a bitch

What is with you; you're obsessed with traditional flight-wear being homosexual. Where do you get that notion from? The classic aviator looks are some of the best.

HEY GENTLEMEN WERE GONNA GO OVER 10 STYLE MISTAKES ALRIGHT BUT FIRST I GOTTA TALK ABOUT THIS PRODUCT I SHILLED FOR FOR 20 MINS ALRIGHT DONT WEAR STINKY CLOTHES AND GO GYM AND GET HUGEEEEE

seriously /fa/, why does anyone listen to this man child. how can anyone be so stupid?

AlphaM is so fucking annoying sometimes and he has bad-decent taste. He's simply put an older fuckboy that thinks he knows everything about fashion when he doesn't really know much.

Guy clearly suffers from Napoleon complex

i dont like watching the vids but the website is the best for learning everything about boots. any man should know all the different types of boots and their history and styling options. whether you are SLP or Topman, knowing the classics and how they differ from eachother is paramount in being able to derive hybrid looks. for boots though specifically, i dont really like much else there

This board hating menswear is half because people in this board claiming he likes "menswear" (seems to) likes half fedoracore instead of valid 2010s menswear.

The aiming points of menswear casual in their 10s~30s should be nice, stylish also respectable to the masses. It isn't a retro reenactment faking 1960s professor when everyone knows literal European aristocrats in their 20s don't dresses like that.

And another problem of menswear threads... Legit menswear threads we have are "where to cop this wool overcoat? Need to be thick for Seattle winter but inexpensive" and I can't answer that because I don't really know where can I get a reliable thick wool knee-length overcoat below $300 in USA.
It's hard to be in expected 20s budget, I don't really recommend Uniqlo or Zara for a wool coat so threads are deserted again.

all right ill be honest with

ill suck your dick

fitness is effay, just ask /fa/ god-emperor rick owens.

that being said, calf gains are pretty hard, and you already are looking kind of carroty, so either wear looser pants in the bottom block or wear big bulky boots and cuff/stack the legs on top of the boots.

ditch the turtleneck though. turtlenecks are for trapless twinks to give the illusion of a neck and you're super girthy already. did i mention i'd suck your cock?

yeah i guess its the risk you take buying from china. the agents you use can usually stop major defects but you could have a seller sell good looking ones or bad ones.

hopefully no one will be able to tell. i got a complete shit pair of NMDs and people thought they were legit

Yeah probably don't do this. At least not if you're expecting it to look similar.
To me it just looks like a messy fringe and you part it in the front. I have wavy hair and I do it when it gets long.
