A couple of weeks ago, PaperArtsy launched lots of fabulous new stamps, stencils & paint colours. I made some samples with the new Sara Naumann stamps and stencils, and I thought I’d explain how they were made. Details of the launch & lots of beautiful artwork by Sara and my fellow DT members can be found on the launch post HERE.
In this post, I will share details of my samples for stamps ESN19, a set with a vintage sea travel theme, and matching stencil PS026.

Here is my first sample…

On this card, I used a brayer to apply a base of Nougat and London Night Fresco Finish Paint, then I added some drips of watered down Space Cadet Fresco. I masked off the upper part of the card, and applied Grunge Paste through the dotty part of the PS026 stencil. Keeping the mask in place, I applied some White Fire Treasure Gold, then flicked some watery Space Cadet over the stencilling.
I stamped the ship and sentiment with black archival ink, then used a black pen to continue the sea, then painted the ship with a little watered down Brown Shed Fresco.
Here’s my second sample…

The base of this card was brayered with Nougat and Space Cadet Fresco. I dipped the edge of a ruler into Brown Shed Fresco to make some vertical lines, then stencilled the reeds from PS026 with Tinned Peas Fresco. I outlined these with a black pen. I stamped the dots from ESN19, then used matte medium to adhere some torn teabag papers on the left side and bottom right.
I glued some teabag papers onto white card, then stamped & clear embossed the ship and four clocks. I cut out all the images, and added some stamped dots and words to the ship focal image & mounted it onto black card. I added crackle accents and brads to the clocks, then glued them in place around the focal image. I finished off with a stamped sentiment.
Tomorrow I’ll be back with details of my samples for ESN20.
