This week’s Compendium 2 challenge is Brushless watercolour, which is found on page 49 of Tim’s volume 2 book. The Challenge is sponsored by Eclectic Paperie, who are kindly offering a $25 voucher as a prize.

I made a little summery card for my entry.

Sunday Stampers – Words

Here’s another Compendium Of Curiosities Challenge that I didn’t manage in time. The technique is Tissue Wrap Collage from page 38 of Tim’s Volume Two Book.
It fits perfectly with Hels’ Sunday Stamper Challenge, which is to use ‘Words’.

Another Year Older!

It was my birthday on Thursday, & I thought I’d share all the wonderful cards & pressies I’ve received from my kind and generous friends & family.

Here are some handmade cards, & some presents…

Some more cards, which kinda give my age away! Lol!

And my very favourite card, that my lovely hubby Graham made for me. That’s not him on the front, it’s my fave singer Justin Currie from Del Amitri. We saw him in concert last week, & he was brilliant as ever! Sigh…

Workshop With Jo Firth-Young

Posted in Mixed Media, workshops on May 22, 2012 by craftytrog

Yesterday, I spent a fab day at The Craft Barn again. This time I was attending a workshop, run by the talented Jo Firth-Young. She had us decorating a wooden three panel icon, using PaperArtsy Lynne Perella stamps, Fresco Paint & Crackle, & Distress inks. There were only 5 of us students, including friends Gabby, Karin & Francesca, & Sue, a new friend.
Here are some photos of the piece I made. I even managed to finish it at the class, very unusual for me!
Thanks Jo for a wonderful day! xox

Simon Says Stamp

Posted in Uncategorized on May 20, 2012 by craftytrog

Here a little colourful card I made using Tim Holtz’s shattered stains technique. It was meant for the compendium of curiosities challenge, but I missed the deadline. But, this week’s Simon Say Stamp Challenge is Anything Goes, so I’m entering it for that challenge instead.

The background was made with distress stains, that I spritzed, then held up so they could drip into each other. Then I flicked water on it. Love this effect.
All stamps & die-cuts are Tim Holtz too.
