This page was inspired by Kristina Oppegard, another of the tutors from 21 Secrets. This page has so many layers, until it finally got where I wanted it! I used DecoArt Traditions paint.

In the second part of her class at 21 Secrets, Tracy Verdugo took a walk around her garden, & then created a beautiful piece of art, using India Inks.
Here’s my attempt at some garden art. I may have gone a bit over the top, but hey ho…you have to try these things!
I’m entering my painting for Paint Party Friday.
I was inspired by this lovely pencil case/jewellery box, shared by Carol on the PaperArtsy Blog this week.
However, instead of using Grunge Paste to add texture, I used some metal corners, flowers & leaves.
Once the metal items were glued in place, together with a couple of ‘S’ peel-offs,I base-coated the entire box with nougat Fresco Finish Paint. Then I painted over that with lilac FF, & then added some pansy FF to the edges with my fingers.
I finished off by adding highlights to the edges & lid, using purple Treasure Gold.
As the box is a present for my niece Sasha’s birthday, I decided to personalize the inside…
There’s Sasha with her sister Rebecca in the lid, & with her cousin, my daughter Beth, inside the base.

Here’s a page in my journal, which was inspired by Tracy Verdugo’s class on 21 Secrets.
This is a page about self-discovery. So, the background contains words & images about myself. I used light & dark shades of my favourite colours to make thumbprints, & to colour my self-portrait. I couldn’t resist doodling around my thumbprints & the edges of the page 🙂

Over on the PaperArtsy Blog, France Papillon shared some fabulous waxy ATCs for her special PaperArtsy 10th birthday celebration post. You can see the ATCs, & how France made them HERE.
Here are my ATCs. I used a brown wax crayon to add colour to the edges. I love the effects I got when I re-melted the wax! And I love the ghostly bowler-hatted man, peering through the wax!
Thanks France, for another wonderful technique. It’s the first time I’ve played with my wax pellets! Lol!
