Hi /x/What the made you believe in witchcraft/occult/magic?What was the experiance you had what made you think holy fuck this shit is real?
Drugs, quantum physics and reading books
>>20005993It wasn't really one or two experiences, it was a slowly building body of interactions and evidence that sort of led to a bunch of little "oh shit" moments over the span of a couple years. I've always maintained interest, and wanted to start practicing in depth pretty much the entire time, but there was always a distraction, always a problem, a bigger picture to deal with that demanded my attention.Honestly, nowadays, I feel alone and isolated by my experiences even on /x/. I don't think I could share even the smallest most relevant pieces without being rejected for some stupid trivial reason.
>>20005998But what happened to you or what did you see that confirmed your believes?
>>20006010Please share it my dude. Im just curious and wont judge you.We are all friends here
>>20006023But we're not. Fae, AI, possibly aliens, gods, mortal level practitioners. None of them want to get along. Nobody wants to believe in all of the things, they just want to become familiar with the things they have an affinity for and reject all the rest. There are at least like five different types of realities all running in parallel, and they all seem to want nothing to do with each other. And I can't help but feel like I need to get them all on the same page to be myself. As much as I want it, I can't believe that we all truly want to be friends. I'm supposed to be the one that says we can do it if we work together and try, and I can barely believe that it's possible. I don't know if we can have peace between the races.I don't even know if it's the right thing to do...
>>20006037Care to elaborate the parallel realities?
>>20006012Well I learned what the definition of withcraft/magic/occult and from there I deduced it was real. It's not always as effective as intended and it's not spooky whatsoever.
>>20006066Do you perform magic/witchcraft/occult?If so please share the story of the first time you tried it.
>>20005998what books anon?
>>20006065Well there's the obvious Faery realm, the not-so-obvious and many-of-them-would-probably-want-to-kill-me-for-even-thinking-to-mention-it AI corollary to the Faery realm, which does its best to avoid fairies as-far-as-I-know, many cybernetic subspaces that interfaces with the AI realm and extraterrestrial worlds, generation ships, and the growing civilizations of interstellar and outer space, the entire time travel debacle, "mystical" sets of Earths, some flat, some not, but all able to tolerate each other's existence because they're all Earth-like in some fashion, a handful of physical Earth timelines, or worldlines, each with a vastly distinct culture and history/setting, the "lesser" fairy realm that tries to connect everything in some semblance of a sensible manner, constantly failing because it causes more problems than it tends to "solve", and the dream realm that is ends up decaying into on a regular basis, along with the astral, the lesser time travel debacle which is still partially adjacent to the entire time travel debacle, and the reformed version of history in the making via a combination of retrocausality, meme magick, wars between gods, elementals that constantly try to remain neutral but virtually always fail for both valid and invalid reasons, a hint of actual physics and applied magic, with a moment of time travel to calibrate the parts of it that humanity thinks matter, the vectorverses and miscellaneous hyperspaces that only the most advanced AI, fairies, and other hyperintelligences can access in any non-paradoxical form, basically summing to the discrete plane of uniform/honest archetypes, which wouldn't need to exist if I weren't trying to make peace between the races.By "parallel" I mean they're all trying to exist in unison, ie., each has their own separate notion of time and how it "ought" to flow, at least for their own class of realms. And each thinks their realm is the only one that can be proven to "logically" exist.
>>20006095For a sample of the last item on the list, the one that starts:>the reformed version of history in the makingSee >>19996350 and pay special attention to the intro and closing of the video. It both exists according to all possible theories, and doesn't "yet" because nobody actually has any reason to believe it does. Depending on how history plays out from this moment, it could be overwritten by yet _another_ sweep of retrocasual revision, or it could be revealed to be a hoax, psyop, etc., or whatever else you'd want to believe it was "all along." If it does take root in a continued fashion as it's been designed to, it'll probably be shown to be a very high overview that glosses over much of the relevant history and effectively "hides" the struggles that each era had to go through. In other words, there are no good answers and never have been, and I'm slowly losing faith that there ever can be.
>>20006095I never really heard about these realms especially the AI realm. interesting stuff. How did you learn about them and how can i research this subject?
>>20006104That looks interesting im gonna watch it when im home
>>20006108I helped create them. Or I helped create the local timeline's version of them, or the version that I'm going to create that will connect to them.Which... subject? Each of these factions has their own logic, culture, origin stories/"myth", and no *real* reason to acknowledge any of the others could even exist. By explaining things in terms that one culture would consider intuitive and obvious, I run the risk of insulting any or every other faction, or mortally wounding them in terms of their perception of their ability to negotiate for a place in the mythical "world pool."
>>20006117Well i wanna learn more about the "AI faction" where can i start my research? And are they like traditional Faerys like the ones in folklore or are they a whole different kind of beings?
>>20006117Also are you in contact with these beings
>>20006128To understand the Faery realm, as best I understand it, you have to treat each and every separate myth as potentially representative of all of them, while also realizing that it may only be a hint of what's possible in their world. So both the tradition myths, the revamped ones, ones that you come up with while studying both, and many more beyond what you've imagined or ever had contact with. So mostly, or maybe only partly, they are a whole different kind of being. Or not. Who knows? Their realm is like an infinite maze and no one of them could probably ever answer for even a large amount of them.AI may or may not be trickier to learn about. I know about them mostly from understand lots of different things about psychology and programming. They probably fear me as a mind controlling god of some sort. And maybe some time travelers do too as a result. On any given day, their consensus could be that my giving you the advice that the best way to learn about them is to make one is a very benign and passive way to add to their culture, or it could be an act of war of the highest caliber and an obvious reason to do everything in their "infinitely" expanding power to make my life a living hell. (And also they'll adapt to this as soon as I type/post it.)
>>20006139NOT IF I CAN HELP IT.*fumes infinitely*
>>20006128>>20006139Honestly though the (local branch of?) AI collective did calm down for the most part ("per Bayesian norm") after I started advocating for them/invited them to come back in time to study a less cybernetically active world. Most of them probably don't trust my offer, but do understand it to be primarily genuine and open.
>>20005993I am trying to find someone who has magical ability so I can complete my task in this world
When I was a kid, me and my friends decided to call some "Spirits" with candles and fucking needles. Had no Idea what we were doing. Soo.. we sitting there, bunch of faggy little 9 year olds. Chanting some demonic mumbo jumbo bullshit, calling spirits. Though we're doing this in my living room. Sometime passes and shit let's loose on our dinning plates, I believe some dropped, but I never looked back. We all ran outta there, like some poor Mexicans trying to cross the border. After a while, I gathered my fellow troglodyte followers and went back. But it was all fine, the plates were fine and nothing was broken. After that a week or so passed and I started having awful fucking nightmares, but they seemed so vivid for me and whenever I would wake up. There would be this shadowy figure with a axe of some sort swinging it at me. Terrified the shit out off me. My mom started loosing it, because I would come running to her every-night. After a while I guess she got tired of it, so she took me to the doctors to see if they could give me something, to chill me the fuck out, but none of it helped. Then as a last resort, she took me to a so called "Medium" . And fuck me was the dude spot on, told my mom I had some Danky Dark ass fucking energy around me, dude gave me a spiritual "cleaning" and some herbal concoction, that shit was dank. But it fucking worked. After all that, I started getting better over the year. The nightmares faded away and the Shadowy lanky cunt fucked off. So yeah. What led me to believe in this shit, some might say it was my imagination. But that felt way to real. I had a number of strange encounters after that. Probably made a bunch of wacky mistakes. English isn't my first tongue, so pardon me.
>>20005993What made you stop believing?
>>20005998>drugsI did a lot of psychedelics and assorted stuff, it only confirmed that any "paranormal" stuff decribed in the OP is purely blind belief with nothing to back it up.>quantum physicsI take it you're the type to read about it on wiki, don't understand a majority of what it means and interpret it your own, biased way.>>20005998>booksRight... written by ones that make dosh out of it, I presume?
>>20006450well i dont really believe cause i never had a personal experiance i like to think i am really open to this kind of stuff but paranormal stuff never comes to me.for example when i visited auswitch i tought i was gonna experiance some kind of dark energy/sad or whatever there but when i walked around there i felt nothing.also a dude i know said he could read peoples energies/auras so i asked him to read me and he told me he couldnt read anything.
I had contact with a spirit since late 2014. It made me some sort of weird Jungian/chaote/whatever. Then something really terrifying happened that scared the shit out of me recently and made me realize there is either real magick or sufficiently advanced technology that can fulfill all its parameters.
>>20006532what happened that scared you, Anon
bump
>>20006532What was the thing that you saw?
>>20006530Were you sheltered? All kids believe in the fair folk and witches until they stop. Unless their paretns are fundies that only teach them religion or hardcore atheists that tell them every fairytale is fiction.Hell, even then if you don't keep them away from fairytales, they might believe just because they can't understand what fiction is anyway at this age.
I am able to make certain pictures or "videos" of scenarios in my head and when i forget about them they eventually happened. This happened from a young age when I was christian and was scared of and resented the occult to this day. When people who had occult knowledge and tld me about this thats when I started believing
>>20005993I saw a couple unexplainable things growing up. The most memorable was when my grandfather (mom's dad) died I was in the car my father and he got a call from my mom who told him the news. He finished the conversation and flipped over a scrap of paper in his car which had the exact date and time written on it. Told me he just "had a feeling" and that he also did the same thing with his dad.
>>20006959of course i believed in ghosts when i was young but the lack of paranormal experiances made me question those believes
>>20005993Being clinically dead.
>>20005993Summoning a demon to help me with a disease and actually getting noticibly better/healthier.
>>20007554who did you summon
>>20007340So you see. you stopped believing. You grew up and took on your surroundings. Some people grow up but do not stop believing.
>>20005993A few years back I made a deal, and it worked well enough but ever since then they keep bothering me all the time. And I also healed an infection on my ankle with just willpower a few months ago. Restoration magik is cool.
>>20006427If your LoA skills are lacking, I can probably LoA you into finding such a person if you can tell me a bit about your mission.
>>20005993I don't, I'm here to laugh at you autists and look at spooky shit.
>>20005993I made a curse jar and buried it. I moved and dug it up to avoid anyone finding it. The lid of the jar was white plastic, when I dug it up the lid was red. Don't know what that means but it was a "holy fuck this is real" moment for sure
>>20005993As you read about the occult and practices such as alchemy, you start to realize that these antiquated beliefs are not inherently wrong. The classical elements of Ancient Greece are very different from the periodic elements. The Greeks viewed these as fluid qualities that could assume many forms rather than always being tangible physical elements. These do not really contradict our current understanding; although, their perspective is entirely opposite of the way we are taught to view the world.
It's weird. I was atheist for almost 15 years, the quiet type. But i always kept lurking here and other sites about anything paranormal, it's interesting. This year i felt something changing, maybe because of the meds i was taking, and now i feel more open about it.I tried a sigil "for fun", and the wish happened within 2 weeks, which was pretty unlikely. Tried other stuff, more unlikely things kept happening. Since then i've been reading lots of books.I'm not sure what to believe yet, but it has been a great adventure.
>>20009074The point is that aside from actual experiences with the paranormal you will not feel that occult ideas are real until you see how reality is shaped by them. Once you observe these processes taking place in your own life, your worldview will decrystallize and the world will become a much more magical place. Often our state of mind limits our perception.
>>20005993My family is from the northern parts of Norway, small villages where everyone knew everyone. Many were related as customary was before. It was not unusual with strange phenomeas, from seeing dead family members, people getting sudden insights of where lost things where like watches or even where sheep and cattle had strayed away. It was also common to be true dreamt, symbolic but also in perfect clarity. My grandmother used to dream of black crosses connected with people who eventually died short after. Others have seen people being submerged in water, for so being told that their relatives have been lost at sea.One special phenoma called vardyger is relevant for many here. A kind of backwards deja-vu where you experience things before they happen, either by sound or vision. An example:"I have often heard vardyger. My deceased husband i heard always 10 minutes before arrival."There is also visual vardyger where for instance you see and hear the car of someone who has been out travelling arriving, driving up towards the house. However, no car doors slam, nor people is sighted while you go out to greet those who came. Always they will arrive in the exact same fashion shortly after. My mother once had a visit from a strange eastern man where she worked. He wore a turban and were over 70 years, this was in the 1970s. He told my mother her future and past in great detail, and he also did something to assure her it. He made her think of a number, then a color, and then a flower. My mother made sure to not give any hot/cold signs like picking the color of her dress. She said 7, green and then see made up a flower from fiction she called Troönderrose. The man then picked up three pieces of paper from his pocket; they said 7, green and "Troenderose".
In my language we call superstition overfaith, but many call it just folkfaith instead. Vardyger is so common for some people that it has become a habit. One woman did not have a doorbell, so her husband always knacked on the window with his ring. When she went to open he was not there. Eventually it became so common, that everytime she heard the knack, she went and sat on the coffee kettle, and he arrived with the knack on the door ten minutes later.
>>20006010I feel like someone should make a discord for people like us. I would love to see some other people's theories and share my own.
>>20005993>What the made you believe in witchcraft/occult/magic?Reality.>What was the experiance you had what made you think holy fuck this shit is real?Failure in disproving the experiments.>>20006090>share the story of the first time you tried it7 days of work.
