Hi all

Been here a while, but mostly on /k/ and /out/, so not very anime-centric boards.
I want to know, in your opinion, what is a good first series to start out with.
I would prefer an interesting story and fairly good art style, with blueballing (or not) lewd bits too.
I really have no idea what to start with, and since I wasn't allowed to ask this on /a/, what do all of you think?
I would be very grateful if you could suggest some

/qa/ doesn't actually watch anime

Yes well I tried the same query to /a/ a few days ago and just got saged because the questions are supposed to be made here.

One more thing, are most mainstream animes available on Netflix? or is there some kind of alternative to netflix that's anime-centric?
>>
What genre(s) would you like buddy?
Perhaps give us some TV show(s) or game(s) you like and we'll work from there.

dont focus your manpower on this threaad, you have the whole board to spam.
dont give up, just 139 more weeb threads to delete

Ok, on Netflix I've enjoyed Mindhunter, the first few seasons of House of Cards, Stranger Things, Ozark, and animations like Archer, Bob's burgers and particularly Bojack Horseman. I hope that helps, and thankyou

Most of the games I play are either FPSs like pubg or csgo, or builder/tycoon games. story games Ive enjoyed have been undertale and firewatch.
Call my tastes normie if you like but they are popular for a reason

If you like bojack you should watch Evangelion
>>

I will watch both of these, thanks :)

>is there some kind of alternative to netflix that's anime-centric
Cruncyroll is the best legal source.
As for recommendations
Evangelion the originals, not the rebuilds
If you don't mind a lack of a strong ongoing plot Lupin III and Detective Conan are great
Tengen Toppa Gurran Lagann, has a nice mix of fanservice and plot.
Panty and Stocking if you enjoy cartoons and crude humor.
If you know a decent bit about otaku culture Genshiken and Welcome to the NHK are pretty good.
Saikano if you want to watch something awkward and depressing

Ok I'm gonna help you. Since /qa/ is filled with ironic weebs you could ask this on /wsr/. The best option is to download anime and not stream it. Use nyaa.pantsu.cat and nyaa.si, those are the major public trackers. For private trackers check animetorrent.me, bakabt.me, animebytes.es every once in a while when they open the applications. animetorrents opens regularly, bakabt recently got private but they've said that they are gonna open apps and animebytes opens once in a blue moon but I've heard that they will open them very soon.
As for getting into anime start with the standard stuff like Jojo's Bizzare Adventures, Death Note, One Punch Man, Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion, Trigun etc... Just check the synopsis on myanimelist and pick what you like based on that. Also I'm gonna rec some of my favorite comedy stuff:
Cromartie high school, Detroit Metal City, Sexy Commando Gaiden, Excel Saga, Inferno Cop.
For more recs just ask on >>>/wsr/ they are pretty helpful for stuff like this. Also if you don't like a certain anime don't be afraid to drop it.

Thanks guys, seriously. I know the only reward I can give you is my appreciation, but at least know that your help to may can mean that I could provide the same level of help to someone down the line.

The only ironic weebs here are the weeb mafia spamming the board.
They got here in February but just won't leave.
Listen to Pepe posters, they are the good posters.
I'd recommend Sword Art Online and Attack on Titan - those two are solid choices. Plenty of kawaii girls.
