2nd April Category-Going to the Movies

Along with baseball, I think America’s other favorite pasttime is watching movies!  Everyone has a favorite and who doesn’t have either family movie night, go to a movie/dinner on a date or use their Blockbuster account to rent movies?  Time to record that so you can look back one day and say, “Oh, I remember that!”

We are thrilled to have another super guest designer this month–Beth Perry.

Beth says, “Hey peeps! My name is Beth, my friends call me B and Danielle calls me BP. lol So, any of the above is great!  I live in St. Louis with Austin (boyfriend of 4 years) and my furbaby, Miya (had for 11 years). I have been scrapbooking for about 4 years now. It is a passion that has quickly opened doors to me that I never knew existed. Through this, I have started painting and just dipped my feet into the world of mixed media. And a design team finally took my crazy a@#!! I have only been over at Vintage Plum for a month now and I am having such a blast!  Also, I am such a summer time girl! I love going to the lake and wakeboarding. We are always on the go during the summer. Wineries are another frequented spot during this time of the year.  This was a very fun prompt for me as I love movies!! I love getting ‘lost’ in a world of fantasy, mystery or romance.  And as you can see below, I didn’t use any actual photos in my layout. I used my actual VHS box. There is so much nostalgia when I think of Star Wars.

Here is her fantastic layout:  The journaling reads:  So here’s the story. The movies I remember when I was little…and movies were REAL then. It was Star Wars. I still love those movies to this day. It was one I watched when I was little and sat in awe and wondr at the big screen. Wow. It was the best thing about being a kid. That was stuff dreams were made of. After that, of course, I BECAME Princess Leia. It was also somthing I shared with my brothers. And then…the first weekend that Austin came up to see me (the weekend that started it all). We went to the drive-in theatre and saw one of the new Star Wars. And the rest is history. So, this is the story when I think of going to the movies. I smile. I like going to the movies.

April 1st Category-Bedtime Rituals

Everyone has some kind of bedtime ritual, right?  For the first challenge of the month, we are asking you to share what it is!

We are pleased to introduce you to Allison, our awesome guest designer for April.

nevis

She is one talented gal who says, “I’m Allison and I’ve been scrapbooking for about a year. I’m engaged to my best friend and we live in Alabama with our two adorable pugs, Napoleon & Rukia. I love scrapbooking because it’s like this wonderful form of art that also tells the story of your life. What a neat thing to be able to pass down to grandchildren, right? “

I love how Allison spoke of “the story of your life”.  Perfect for this challenge as the story of your life should be about all things big AND small.  We want you to document the everyday stuff, the stuff that gives insight as to who you are and what happens in your daily life right now!  Check out everyone’s interpretation of the Bedtime Rituals challenge:

Allison’s layout:  (Don’t you just love the bold colors on this!)
