Philofaxy Charity Donation - Thank You

Hi Everyone

It is always nice to receive a thank you letter, especially in relation to Philofaxy.

In today's post was a nice letter from MacMillan the cancer charity thanking us for the £175 donation which was made using the commission earned in the last 6 months from all your purchases made through the links on Philofaxy to Filofax UK, WH Smiths and a few other UK retailers.

Thank you for your support with this donation. Look out for further fund raising activities later in the year.

Friday News Update

Hi Everyone...

Just a quick news update on a few things that have popped up in the last day or two.
  • Staples have got some excellent in-store deals on the A5 Aqua Finsbury at half price, and a few other models at half price too... Check your local Staples for details as these aren't showing up on-line. You can find your nearest store here

  • We have at least one place available on the Philofaxy November Meet Up on Saturday 19th, if you would like to attend please contact philofaxy at gmail dot com as soon as possible, it's only two weeks away....

  • Neal Street have just taken delivery of a batch of Guildford Zips & Extra Slim organisers.

  • And finally, you will see our Cancer Charity Donation has leaped up in the last 24 hours. Thank you all for your continued support. What do you think of me doing a poll later this month as to which of the cancer charities we should donate to at the end of December? Several have been suggested so far, I can find them again in the email archive and list them fairly easily.

Thank you and have a great weekend.

Charity Donations Update

Hello Everyone.
Thank you for continuing to support our Cancer Charity Donation, which is continuing to grow, it went over the £42 mark today.

With view to which charity to donate to in December, I think we should wait until we get to the final total, because if we reach quite a high total we might want to choose to split our donation between a couple of Cancer Charities, but thank you for your suggestions so far.

In addition to Filofax UK, I'm pleased to announce from today that we can also benefit from commission when buying at Ryman UK, who as you know have some good offers on Filofax organisers from time to time.  Commission earned from Ryman will also be added to the charity donation in December.  I'm also enquiring with WH Smiths to add them to the commission stream as well.

Again thank you for your continued support.

Steve

Cancer Charity Donation - 2011

In the past we have successfully collected for Breast Cancer Campaign, and this was done via your purchases from Filofax UK through the links on Philofaxy.

Well we are going to start collecting again. So from 1 July - 31 December 2011, anything you buy from Filofax UK via the links on Philofaxy, I will donate the commission earned to charity.

Now I need your help to do this, not only by buying through the Philofaxy Filofax UK links, but also in deciding which of the Cancer Charities to donate to.  So I need your suggestions and why... include a comment here or email me direct your thoughts on which cancer charity we should donate to this time.

All of the cancer charities I'm sure do an equally good job. What ever type of cancer you are unfortunate enough to get, it is always nasty, there's no pecking order is there, although I suppose there are some that are easier to cure than others. But it would be something we could all do without going through.

We all know someone who has suffered or has died from cancer, it has no age boundaries it can strike at any age as far as I'm aware.

It is not just people that smoke that suffer from cancer.

I realise some of you are on a 'no spend regime' and I totally support that cause too, but any purchase made, no matter how small will earn a few pence commission and it will be included in the final total.

Watch the total grow in the side bar, because every penny helps.

Thank you for your support.

Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

In this mornings post was a certificate thanking me/us for our recent donation. So I thought I would share it with you.  And although it has my name on it, it should really say 'Philofaxy' of course.

Once again thanks for all your support and helping me to make it happen.

Breast Cancer Campaign - Donation Made

Hi Everyone.
Thank you for your support in the last 6 weeks, by way of your purchases from Filofax UK via Philofaxy we managed to earn nearly £81 in commission. I've just made a donation to Breast Cancer Campaign with this money and added a donation of my own:
Dear Mr Morton

Thank you very much for your generous donation of £100.00 to Breast Cancer Campaign. You have also allowed us to claim Gift Aid which will add an extra 28p to every £1 you have donated, for which we are most grateful.

Thanks to research, more women than ever before are beating breast cancer and your gift is vital to our continued success.

Thank you once again for being one of the people whose generosity is bringing us closer to beating breast cancer.

With kind regards,

Arlene Wilkie
Director of Research and Policy

P.S.
Have you made a New Year’s resolution to get fit? Then why not join one of Breast Cancer Campaign’s brilliant challenges and have fun and fundraise at the same time! We have a challenge to suit everyone – check out our events and sign up today!
Again thank you for your support. I will do a similar charity donation in a few months time.

Regards
Steve

Breast Cancer Campaign

So as you can see our donation total has crept up to over £70, but there is still time for you to help increase the donation total and you get some lovely Filofax goodies as well.

All you need to do is click on the link below, which takes you to Filofax UK, buy anything on the site, including any of the goods in the 50% off sale which is still running and the commission earned on your purchases will be added to the donation to the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.

Thanks to everyone so far who has helped support our donations to this worthwhile charity. Let's help fight this killing disease.  Help to save a mother, daughter, wife, friend, work colleague, next door neighbour, they could all be possible victims of this killer.

I will post the details of our final donation total next week.

Thank you all.

Breast Cancer Awareness - Philofaxy

Well as you can see from the 'side bar' totaliser our donation has just gone past £50 and there is still all of January to go for that total to climb even higher. I'm not going to make any predictions as to what it might climb to, because I just want it to be as high as possible.

I'm also pleased to announce that Nickie over at Typecast has joined our contribution by including a Filofax link on her blog to the same account so anything bought via her site is also adding to the contributions.

If you would like the code to do the same on your own site please contact me.

The commission is earned on all sales placed on Filofax UK via Philofaxy ads like the ones below. It covers all items on their site nothing is excluded so even if you only buy a pen refill, or a top of the range organiser they all contribute to the donation total. Non organiser products such as bags, conference folders etc are also included.

Look out for further announcements and forth coming offers.

Thank you for all of your purchases so far, every penny, every pound will be helping some one get past this terrible killer... That some one could be a friend, a daughter, wife, grand mother, or even your Mother in Law!!! [smile]

16 December 2010

Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.

Thank you for all of your support in the last few months.

We are running another Charity Awareness Month. From today until the end of January 2011 all commission earned from sales of all Filofax goods (Organisers, Refills, Bags, Pens etc) bought via Philofaxy at Filofax UK will be donated to the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign in UK.

To make sure your purchase counts towards the donation at the end of January all you have to do is come to Philofaxy, click on a Filofax ad anywhere you see one on the site and it will register your purchase.  No matter how small your order is, all of them will count to our donation.  Thank you.

Those of you who wish to donate directly, please go to the campaigns website.

If you are buying goods for Christmas get your orders in before 2:30pm on 20th December for delivery to you by 24 December.

Dear Mr Morton

Thank you very much for your kind donation of £20.00 to Breast Cancer Campaign. You have also allowed us to claim Gift Aid which will add an extra 28p to every £1 you have donated, for which we are most grateful.

Thanks to research, more women than ever before are beating breast cancer and your gift is vital to our continued success.

Thank you for your support during this campaign, the fight of course goes on and you can donate at any time on the BCC website or by purchasing a BCC Filofax organiser or other products.

Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign Month and as you no doubt know Filofax sell products that include a donation towards fighting this killer.

As an additional boost towards the cause, I will be donating all of the commission earned on Filofax UK sales via Philofaxy, no matter what the items purchased are in October and November.

Together lets all help in the fight for a way of preventing and curing breast cancer.

Those of you who wish to donate directly please go to the campaigns website.

Thank you for your help and support.
