Keefe won election in the 2012 election for Massachusetts House of Representatives Fifteenth Worcester District. She defeated Ralph Perez, Kate Toomey, Dianna Biancheria, and Frank Beshai in the September 6 Democratic primary and defeated Brian O'Malley (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.^[4][5][6]
