2016 Ballot Measures
In 2016, 162 statewide ballot measures were certified for the ballot in 35 states. Of these measures, 76 were put on the ballot by citizens through signature petitions, rather than by state legislatures. Eight measures were on pre-November elections, leaving 155 measures for statewide ballots in November.
- Note: 165 measures had qualified for the ballot. The Arkansas Supreme Court, however, removed two certified measures from the ballot on October 13, 2016, and another on October 27, reducing to 162 the number of measures voters considered.
