A series of blasts have struck the outskirts of Syria’s capital, Damascus.
At least 45 people (50, updated a few minutes ago), were killed in the mainly Shiite neighbourhood, Syria’s Interior Ministry reported. The Islamic State terrorist group has taken responsibility for the attacks.
Death toll from three terrorist bombings that rocked l-Sayyeda Zainab town in Damascus Countryside earlier on Sunday has climbed to 45 (50, updated a few minutes ago), a source at the Interior Ministry said.
The source earlier put the number of people killed in the attacks at 30, in addition to 110 injured, some of them were reported to be in critical condition.
The attacks, which hit in Koua Soudan area, were caused by a car bomb and two explosive belts, according to the source.
Terrorists detonated the car bomb at the bus station in Koua Soudan area, and after people gathered to help the injured, two suicide bombers with explosive belts blew themselves up at the site.
The aim of such terrorist and “cowardly” crimes is to raise the morale of the defeated terrorist organizations in light of the great victories made by the Syrian Arab Army in different areas.
Such terrorist crimes will not deter the Syrians from continuing the process of national reconciliation in different areas, particularly in Damascus countryside.
Terrorism-supporting states (Saudi, Turkey, Qatar, USA, UK, NATO countries) are responsible for these terrorist crimes.

Major Takfiri groups fighting in Syria are fractured more than anytime as they are struggling to close ranks in the face of army advances on various fronts, a report says.
Representatives of al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front and Ahrar al-Sham, a Salafist movement with close ties to Turkey, met with fellow militant groups recently but failed to forge a united front, Reuters reported.
According to the report, Abu Mohamad al-Golani, the head of al-Nusra Front, tried to convince other Takfiri groups to join forces with the al-Qaeda wing in Syria but the effort fell flat.
The militant leader even said he would change his group’s name if Ahrar al-Sham agreed to reunite with them, but stressed that he would not renounce ties with the al-Qaeda terror organization.
The two extremist groups had briefly formed an alliance against the Syrian government along with a number of other militants last year, but they later split.
During the tense atmosphere of the meeting, which was held around 10 days ago, Golani accused Ahrar of spearheading “the agenda of Ankara in order to be part of a future political deal to rule Syria,” the report said… … …

General Sergei Shoigu, the Russian Defense Minister, could have easily called his Syrian counterpart, Lt. General Fahd Jaasim Al-Furayj, and talked over the telephone or even on secure lines.
But, this subject demanded the highest level of secrecy in a world in which all conversations are vulnerable to eavesdropping.
General Shoigu is pushing the Syrian High Command to finish off Kinsibba as soon as possible despite weather delays and the grotesque geography of the area.
The third area of concern is a rapid deployment of new weapons systems the Syrians have not seen before and which, the Russians believe, will bring the battle more quickly to an end.
The SAA, however, has to be trained to use the new ground equipment and the 2 generals discussed the logistics of absorption and training.
We are looking at the start of a bigger war and the Russians wanted to make their position clear to the Syrian Army’s high command.

“The town of Sheikh Miskin is just one hour’s drive from Damascus,” correspondent Mikhail Alaeddin writes. “In every direction, one can enjoy the view of the snow-capped peaks of the Golan Heights…If not for the war, one could imagine this place as an option for a nice, quiet family holiday”.
“But today’s trip was not a tourist excursion. Sheikh Miskin is completely destroyed. Apart from the army, there is not a living soul here. Even animals seem to have abandoned this place.”
“Fierce battles for the city raged for 28 days. Twelve terrorist groups, including the famous al-Nusra Front and Daesh, forgot about their differences and united to try to keep control of the town at all costs.”
“It’s easy to understand the militants’ motivation,” Alaeddin explains. “The city sits at the intersection of government roads connecting Damascus, Daraa and Qunaitra. It is also the shortest and most convenient way to get supplies on the southern front. These same roads were used by terrorists, who shipped reinforcements and ammunition into the area from Jordanian territory.”

A quelques jours des négociations de Genève pour trouver une issue politique à la crise en Syrie -dont la tenue reste tributaire de la composition d’une délégation représentative des diverses oppositions-, l’Armée arabe syrienne et ses alliés poursuivent leur inexorable progression sur le terrain. Dimanche, ils ont reconquis Rabiha, dernier bastion terroriste à Lattaquié, et poursuivent leur avancée vers al-Bab, à l’est d’Alep, ainsi qu’à Cheikh Meskin, à Daraa, au Sud.
A la faveur d’une offensive fulgurante menée à partir de deux fronts, l’Armée arabe syrienne (AAS) et les Forces de défensenationale (FDN) ont reconquis, dimanche, Rabiha, dernier bastion des groupes terroristes dans la province de Lattaquié. La ville était défendue par des extrémistes islamistes turkmènes et des combattants du «Front al-Nosra», la branche syrienne d’«Al-Qaïda», qui se sont rapidement effondrés devant les coups de l’armée syrienne, appuyée par des frappes de l’aviation russe. Les survivants se sont enfuis vers la Turquie voisine, avant qu’Ankara ne décide de fermer sa frontière.

The delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic arrived in Geneva on Friday to participate in the Syrian-Syrian talks under the auspices of the United Nations. The delegation is scheduled to meet the UN special envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura at 6:00 pm Damascus time.
The delegation which is headed by Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari includes: Syria’s representative at the UN in Geneva Hussameddin Ala, Syrian Adviser to Foreign and Expatriates Minister Ahmad Arnous, Ahmad Kizbari, Mohamed Khair al-Akkam, Amal Yazigi, Hasan al-Bahri, Omar Ossi, Amjad Issa, Ammar Ersan, Jamila Shurbaji, Rafah Breidi, Elias Shahin, Samir Breidi, Osama Ali and Rouaa Shurbaji.
Russian President’s Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov met a delegation of the Syrian national opposition in Moscow. The delegation included Elian Masaad, Secretary of the National Conference Party/A Secular Syria/ and official spokesman for the Syrian National Work Committee, Barwin Ibrahim, leader of the Syrian Youth for Development Party, sheikh Nawaf al-Milhem, General Secretary of the People’s Party and representative of the Syrian tribes and Tareq al-Ahmad, member of the leadership of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party.
HNC (High Negotiations Committee) represents a coalition of 15 “moderate” opposition (moderate cannibal terrorists) factions that were put together in Saudi Arabia last month. The group said earlier that it would not join the negotiations unless 1) Bashar Assad’s government abandoned sieges of settlements, 2) put a stop to air strikes, 3) release numerous captives (terrorists).
Despite the positive statements of De Mistura, if these are the premises, we do not believe that these meetings will produce anything good, while the only fields on which it is possible to solve the Syrian crisis are the battlefields and the direct reconciliations amongst people on Syrian soil.

Yemeni army forces backed by fighters from allied Popular Committees have wrested control of three military bases in Saudi Arabia’s southwestern region of Jizan as Riyadh presses ahead with its military campaign against its southern neighbor.
Yemeni forces established control over the strategic Jabal al-Doud, al-Aril and Madba’ bases in the border region.
The development came only hours after at least one Saudi and three Qatari troopers were killed in a retaliatory shelling attack by Yemeni army soldiers and allied forces against the al-Makhrouq military base in the kingdom’s southern region of Najran.
Yemen’s army forces, backed by Houthi Ansarullah fighters, also downed a Saudi fighter jet and destroyed a number of its gunboats.

The neo-conservatives and liberal hawks who have been preparing the war against Syria since 2001 have been relying on several states from the UNO and the Gulf Co-operation Council.
While we know about the role played by General David Petraeus in launching and pursuing the war until today, two personalities – Jeffrey Feltman (number 2 at the UNO) and Volker Perthes (Director of the main German think tank) – have remained in the shadows.
Together, with the support of Berlin, they have been using and are still manipulating the United Nations in order to destroy Syria.
In 2005, when Jeffrey Feltman – then the US ambassador in Beirut – supervised the assassination of Rafic Hariri, he relied on support from Germany, both for the assassination itself (Berlin supplied the weapon) [1], and for the UNO Commission charged with accusing Presidents el-Assad and Lahoud (prosecutor Detlev Mehlis, police commissioner Gerhard Lehmann and their team).

During the annual meeting of the Bilderberg Group, between the 5th and the 8th June 2008 – five years before the war – Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice gave a presentation which underlined the necessity of overthrowing the Syrian government.

(Finnian Cunnigham) ~ The main problem resides with the United States and Saudi Arabia both insisting that two militant groups should be part of the opposition to the Syrian government.
Those groups are Jaish al-Islam (Army of Islam) and Ahrar al-Shams (Nation of Syria).
Both are connected logistically and ideologically with Al Qaeda terror groups, including the so-called Islamic State.
The delay in the Geneva talks getting underway is because the Syrian government and its foreign ally, Russia, stipulate that neither Jaish al-Islam nor Ahrar al-Islam are allowed at the negotiating table.
Because they are terrorist organizations.
The purpose for their inclusion is to expedite Washington’s agenda of regime change in Syria, and has nothing to do with finding a genuinely peaceful settlement.
What the media should be saying is that the political talks on Syria are being held to ransom by the insistence of including terrorist groups in the negotiations.
And the people insisting on the terror groups partaking are Washington and its regional Arab allies.
That truth is far too grim to admit to public knowledge and discussion.
For such truth would indict Washington as a terror sponsor, answerable to international law.

Tuesday morning, at a Syrian Army checkpoint in Hama city, during inspections of a bomb squad unit and special counterterrorism teams, two vehicles were found loaded with weaponry, explosives and munitions, a police officer told to Syrian national news sources.
The cars were loaded with thousands of RPG rounds, PKC bullets, assault rifle bullets, explosives, blasting caps, grenades, intended for terrorist gangs hidden in the area.
The drivers of the two cars, after being arrested, were made available to the Syrian military authorities for an intense interrogation, in order to find out both the masterminds that the recipients of this merchandise of death.

The first attack was caused by a car bomb that targeted a security checkpoint in the 60 Street, which was followed, while people were giving aid to the wounded, by a second blast committed by a suicide terrorist with an explosive belt.
Killing people who are giving aid to others is typical of jihadist terrorism, the most inhuman and brutal.
The aim of the terrorists was the checkpoint of the Syrian security forces.
Among the dead there were several on duty policemen at the checkpoint, but most of the victims are civilians.
DAESH (Islamic State, IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) has claimed responsibility for the attack. According to Reuters, the terrorist group said in an online statement that one of its fighters drove a car loaded with explosives to a security checkpoint in the Al-Zahra neighborhood and blew himself up.

The General Command of the Syrian Army and Armed Forces said that army units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, established control over Rabi’a area in the northern countryside of Lattakia province on Sunday morning following a series of successful operations that resulted in establishing control over 18 towns and villages.
In a statement, the General Command said the most notable of the aforementioned towns and villages are al-Ghnaimiye, al-Qalai’e, Beit Sukkar, al-Ouainat, Khan al-Joz, Beit Riha, Bradon, al-Souda, al-Khadra, Reef Mekhtaro, al-Jamousiye, al-Saraya, al-Rayyana, al-Shakria, and a number of vantage points and hills covering an area of over 120 square kilometers, and this was achieved after eliminating large numbers of terrorists while others fled towards the Turkish borders as their ranks suffered a complete breakdown.

Lattakia – Syrian Army units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, established control over al-Rabea’a town and al-Rawda village, about 60km northeastern countryside of Lattakia, a military source told SANA reporters on the battlefield.
The source added that the engineering units are combing the area and dismantling the explosive devices and landmines planted by the terrorists, some of them were killed and injured by the army operation, who fled towards Turkey.

The regime in Riyadh has conducted new airstrikes on Yemen, nearly ten months into Saudi Arabia’s deadly campaign against its impoverished southern neighbor.
On Sunday, Saudi warplanes bombarded residential areas in the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, more than twenty times.
The warplanes also targeted the Yemeni army’s headquarters in the Huth district of Amran Province. The Majzar district of Ma’rib Province came under four Saudi strikes.
Local Yemeni sources also said Saudi warships launched rocket attacks on the Mukha district of the province of Ta’izz.
In a separate development, Yemeni soldiers backed by the Houthi Ansarullah fighters, launched a retaliatory missile attack on a military base in Saudi Arabia’s southwestern province of Najran.

The Takfiri terrorist organizations prevented a joint team of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) from entering the towns of al-Fouaa and Kefraya besieged by “Jaish al-Fateh” terrorists.

On December 28, 2015, the United Nation’s OCHA made its first express Twitter mention of two northern Syrian villages, al-Foua and Kafarya (also transliterated as Kafraya).
The belated December mention is in spite of the fact that the two villages of around 30,000 people have been locked under siege by terrorist factions Jebhat al-Nusra (al Qaeda in Syria), Jaysh al-Fattah (the so-called “Army of Conquest”), and Ahrar al-Sham (Liberation of the Levant Movement), among other terrorist factions, since March 2015. The siege has meant that the isolated villages have had limited to no access to food and medical supplies since then. Additionally, terrorists have been daily firing rockets, mortars and hell cannons at the villages, killing and maiming residents, destroying homes and infrastructure.
The tweet-linked UN report, however, does mention at least mention the two villages by name, although it does not at all mention the terrorists’ bombings of the villages, nor the immensely dire situation there.
This in spite of the fact that the UN did acknowledge, back in March 2015, that al-Foua and Kafarya had just been besieged.
Consider that the areas that the UN’s OCHA did tweet about–Yarmouk, al-Waer, Zabadani, Madaya, to name but some–are occupied by terrorists as criminal as Da’esh which the west purports to fight. All these factions are terrorists, none of them moderates.
Somehow, the UN is able to visit Madaya, al-Waer… but cannot get to al-Foua and Kafarya. Defies logic. If the UN representatives are able to enter into terrorist hotbeds, they can exert pressure on the western-backed mercenaries to allow them into civilian areas surrounded by the terrorists. IF they wanted to. Which they don’t.

The Turkish regime should immediately stop all of its acts of aggression against Syria’s sovereignty and the Syrian people’s safety and security, said the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry.
In December 2015, Turkish armored forces made incursions into various villages and areas in the northeastern Hasaka province and embarked on different construction activities, including sweeping away soil and setting up concrete walls, mainly in Ras al-Ein area.
Turkish army and intelligence officers frequently visit training camps they have set up on Syrian soil, particularly in Aazaz area, to train terrorists in handling all types of weapons and carrying out assassination operations.
The Turkish army’s tanks and artillery carried out on December 5, 2015 firing operations for more than two hours to provide cover to Turkish forces that entered the Syrian territory to back up armed terrorist groups, including “Liwaa al-Fatih” and “Al-Sultan Murad”, in Aazaz area and went deep into Qara Mazraeh town. The Turkish combat forces later withdrew the next day and the two terrorist groups settled in the site.

Should we be concerned?
Publicly available military documents confirm that nuclear war is still on the drawing board of the Pentagon. Compared to the 1950s, however, today’s nuclear weapons are far more advanced. The delivery system is more precise. In addition to China and Russia, Iran, Syria and North Korea are targets for a first strike pre-emptive nuclear attack.
Let us be under no illusions, the Pentagon’s plan to blow up the planet using advanced nuclear weapons is still on the books.

Daesh (the so called ISIS, ISIL) mercenary-terrorists committed a massacre in al-Bghailiye village (in Deir Ezzor’s western countryside), claiming the lives of around 300 civilians, most of them women, children, and elderly people, local sources said.
“The horrific massacre carried out today by ISIL militants in al-Bagilya in Deir ez-Zor. 280 victims, including women, children and old people. Reason —cooperation with the Syrian Army—”, the local source said.
According to the local source, militants of the outlawed gangs continue the massacre, “killing whole families.”

The Syrian army on Saturday advanced in many areas of Syrian cities, establishing full control over new strategic areas and hills in Lattakia northern countryside.
Army units, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, established control over the hills overlooking al-Sarraf village in the northern countryside of Lattakia, a military source announced on Saturday.
The Points 489, 465 and 547 that overlook al-Durreh axis and al-Sarraf crossing also came under the army’s control.
Many of the terrorists were killed during the army operations, which the source said were “intensive”, while others ran away.
Later on the day, an army unit and the popular defense groups established control over the villages of al-Mreij, al-Kart al-Fouqani and al-Kart al-Tahtani and a number of strategic hills in the same countryside.
An army unit in cooperation with popular defense groups establishes full control over al-Koum al-Tahtani and al-Koum al-Fouqani villages in addition to other strategic points in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN Bashar al-Jaafari reiterated that the Syrian government is committed to full cooperation with the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to deliver humanitarian aid to affected civilians in all Syrian areas, including those described by the UN as “inaccessible” or “besieged”.
“The Syrian government didn’t and will not practice a starvation policy against its people,” al-Jaafari asserted in a press conference following a UN Security Council session to discuss the humanitarian situation in Syria.
He explained that “it is the terrorist organizations that seized the humanitarian assistance supplies sent to civilians in the areas under their control”, clarifying that “this was what happened in Madaya town, located in northwestern Damascus countryside”.
He made it clear that “those areas described as ‘besieged’ and ‘inaccessible’ are controlled by the terrorist organizations that are using the civilians there as human shields and blocking aid delivery”.

Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem affirmed that Saudi Arabia’s financial and military support to the terrorists in Syria will hamper international attempts to resolve the Syrian crisis.
“If these neighboring countries, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar implement the Security Council resolution to counter terrorism, 70 percent of our crisis will be finished and the 30 percent I promise you to end them before the end of this year,” he stressed.
“We used to produce five years ago around 400,000 barrels of oil, we consume inside Syria some and we export some. Now this oil is stolen by ISIS and sent to Turkey,” the minister added.

The ‘Daily Star’ on Wednesday 14/1/2016 reported statements by U.S. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter (“Carter lays out plan to take back Mosul and Raqqa”) who said, under the guise of defeat Daesh (ISIS), that it is necessary put pressure on some NATO countries to bring their military forces on the Syrian and Iraqi ground.
In front of the 101st Airborne Division’s troops (deployed in Iraq soon) he announced that special commando forces already arrived in Iraq.
U.S. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter also said he will meet soon in Paris with his defense [NATO countries] counterparts from France, Australia, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, U.K., to convince them to participate more actively on the battlefields of Iraq and Syria, to bring all their possible military capability.
A comparison of this magnitude, and especially with these military entities on the Syrian ground, will inevitably take to a confrontation and clash with the forces already present and successfully operating on Syrian battlefields: the armies of Syria, Russia, Iran and Hezbollah.
Because this is the ultimate goal of the Israel lobby that directs from the Pentagon’s backstage the dummies of Obama & Carter actually in charge with the remaining Zionist puppet’s theater.

Iraqi Turkmen leaders say the local Kurdish government is exploiting the war on Daesh to dig a trench that will divide the country.They said the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is digging the trench in the conflict lines between Daesh and Kurdish forces across northern Iraq.
“We see this move to dig a trench as suspicious,” AFP quoted Arshad al-Salehi, the head of the Iraqi Turkmen Front, as saying.
The United States has deployed about 200 special operations forces to Iraq “to work with” the Iraqi military in the fight against the Daesh terrorist group, according to US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter.
“The specialized expeditionary targeting force I announced in December is now in place and is preparing to work with the Iraqis to begin going after ISIL’s fighters and commanders,” Carter said at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, on Wednesday.
The new force is separate from another deployment last year of about 50 US special operations troops in Syria to work with US-backed militants fighting the Syrian government.
