The sadness of a rain bowed nation of middle aged kids
wanting to be kids
TO WHAT?
repeat their damaged past?
BUT
they were kids born in apartheid,
damaged kids,
shadow kids,
forever struggling to survive kids.
they carry apartheid in their bodies
their guts,
their hearts
their very existence
let go, let be
WHAT?
HOW?
they carry in them the open wounds of forgotten ideals
they rein act apartheid on themselves –
confronted by contradictions,
isolation and
too much consciousness leading to their self inflicted destruction.
