IDW Publishing tweeted an image of the cover to the upcoming one-shot The Transformers vs GI Joe: The Movie comic book. The official comic book adaptation of the (non-existent) movie adaptation of the original comic book, this offers a brand new adventure that surely defies any prediction given Tom Scioli is still at the helm, and - as RAC often humorously remarked - probably doing everything up to and including milling the paper himself to see this last story produced. We've mirrored the cover image, click through to take a look!

We just got word from Hasbro's PR group that Creative Director Cuz Parry and Executive Producer Mike McCartney will join guests in previewing this new mobile TRANSFORMERS experience. Mike and Cuz will be giving us a look at key gameplay features and provide background on development including the brand-new technology powering the game to create a truly fantastic high-definition TRANSFORMERS experience on mobile.

Hasbro and 3A proudly present the first release in the epic Transformers Generation One Premium Scale Collectible Series: the heroic Leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime! Taking direct inspiration from the 1980s toy and animated series character model, Ashley Wood and the development team at ThreeA have taken a remixed approach that blends their uniquely stylized aesthetics while retaining Optimus Prime’s original iconic look.

Just in via CBR, is an exclusive, extended preview of the Transformers: Lost Light #2 Comic Book coming to shops next week. Rodimus and Co. find themselves in a dangerous place. Even more dangerous than on a planet that exploded from the inside. That’s already pretty dangerous. But where they are now? Oh boy.

The Transformers Generation 1 Soundwave statue stands 32 inches tall and features the Decepticon warrior standing upon wreckage ready for battle. Soundwave is armed with his blaster that can be held in either hand and comes surrounded by his minions Ravage, Laserbeak, and Frenzy. Soundwave is constructed of resin and acrylic pieces and features LED lighting in his eyes. This item is priced at $999.99 to ship in June of 2017.

The first figure in ThreeA’s impressive G1 series, this piece features 59!! Points of articulation, 30% diecast body, LED features (including a matrix of leadership) and stands 16”/41CM tall! This is the definitive Optimus Prime piece to get, set for a 3rd quarter release, preorders up at TFSource.com.

XM Studios Premium Collectibles shared a new round of photos of a prototype piece of the G1(ish) Optimus Prime statue they're working on. The 3D printed prototype shows just how large the statue is intended to be, matching an adult's torso in height. The statue's design takes G1 Optimus and piles on mechanical detail to give it a more complex look. And according to XM Studios' Facebook post, they're not done detailing it yet, so expect the final issue to go even farther than this! We've mirrored the photos, keep reading to see them now!

While Hallmark has offered G1-themed Christmas ornaments in the past, they've now branched out into stylized plush toys! Their "itty bittys" line of plushes are about four inches tall and fall into the same basic cutesy, low-detail, unified body type lines as Funko's PoPs and Dorbz. The line includes Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Soundwave, & Megatron, and run $7 each. Keep reading to see photos!

With the news already slipping out days ago, we have the official new here from Hasbro about their ‘Power of Primes’ fan vote that formally begins on January 23rd! They have sent us the full details on the polling that will be setup to chose between tree different candidate groups defined as Honor, Chaos, and Order. From which four finalists will be declared, and a final voting round will be held in Feburary to name the winner. Read on for the official details below.

The Guardian has posted an article entitled "How We Made Transformers," featuring the recollections of writer Bob Budiansky and TV series editor Bryce Malek. Much of it we've heard before, though Malek provides some new insights. But it's an interesting inside look at how Transformers took shape, and worth reading. Keep reading for excerpts and a link!

Imaginarium Art has posted a new render to their Facebook page revealing an upcoming statue. Inspired by the animated Transformers The Movie, the statue depicts Grimlock and Wheelie fighting off a pack of Sharkticons in a very dynamically arranged piece. This appears to be the payoff to a post from back in November where they showed off various angles of a high detail Grimlock render, which we can see now was being designed as the centerpiece to this statue. Pricing and release details TBD, but keep reading to get a good look at the renders!
