The Morehouse College Glee Club and Quartet in Concert

Are you interested in a rich tradition of standard classical church music? Music of African American composers and heritage music? If so, you do not want to miss a free concert by The Morehouse College Glee Club, one of the nation's oldest all-male collegiate glee clubs. On Friday, March 24, beginning at 12 p.m., the Morehouse College Glee Club will perform at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library.

Film Screening: "A Legacy of Mies and King"

What do you do with a library designed in the 1960s by architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, and named after Martin Luther King, Jr.? The documentary, "A Legacy of Mies and King: Renovating the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library," follows architect Francine Houben as she investigates the past and present to transform D.C.'s central library into a world class library.This screening will be held at the National Building Museum, 401 F St. NW.

In the new historical drama series "Victoria" on PBS, Queen Victoria is eighteen years old when she comes to the throne. What if a story like hers took place in a fantasy kingdom or an alternate historical timeline? Here are a selection of young adult novels featuring a young princess facing challenges and dangers as well as adjusting to the responsibilities of being a reigning Queen.
