I dont really like the bolded yt header menu, but aside from that, everything is okay. I see everyone wanting them to remove the "all-white" theme on youtube ios, but i actually like it. Eveyone is also requesting a "black and gray" dark theme on mobile and i think that would be really cool. Possibly even better than this is all white one. Updates are for the better guys. You dont want youtube to keep updating itself?

This app IS a convenient way to see YouTube videos without pulling up a full computer, but for some reason this app gives me Wi-Fi issues. I can't connect, or its very slow. This is only in YT though. Switch apps, and its perfect. Also, the color scheme frankly sucks. And where did page swiping go? And why are the new features (video playback speed) "unavailable on this device?" This app is getting steadily worse. Git gud gugle.

Please [ our messages to google Please incorporate speed feature in application. It is annoying to see the vedio on chrome with desktop version request. Youtube is being used by many students worldwide for studies. Classes are also being used for revision purposes. I request on behalf of all students please incorporate speed option in your application. You are Google you can do anything, please help me on this. Well, they've done it again. After the new update, the app now constantly tells me that there is no network connection, no matter if I use 4G or WIFI. If I want to watch videos, I have to restart the app all the time. The app was perfectly fine before, but of course the folks over at Google don't understand the term 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'.

Not very fond of the new logo or layout. Like the addition of playback speed options though. There's this extremely annoying bug where a video will stop loading and the app will freeze, causing me to have to restart it and losing whatever video I was watching. This has happened several times, and it hasn't even been 24 hours since I updated. I would also like to see a dark theme in the near future.

Stop shoving your gawd-awful RED content through my feed, without the ability to defer as "not interested." I'm paying a monthly fee for this!? Repeated playback errors when listening to a music playlist. And no, YouTube Music is not a better alternative.

Can we please get some color again, all this white is boring. Why did you take away swiping between pages? Why do you insist on taking AWAY features? All of this "simplified" garbage is unnecessary and unwanted, why is it that you think we are too stupid or lazy to use your app? How much easier do you have to make it before you're done? What's up with that funky font on the header? Can't you at least give us an option for some color?

The new update is horrendous, it feels like I'm using a cheap bootleg alternative than an actual app from the people behind YouTube. This update is a massive step backwards, just go back to the previous version, at least that one actually feels complete and not a crappy beta.

Some videos from people I subscribe to do not show up in my subscription feed. Like why even bother having a subscription feed? Also, please add the following: -Dark theme. -Setting to disable highlights. -Setting to set the subscriptions page to the default page at launch. -Shared vids is a lame idea.

App constantly changes to 140p for every new video I watch I have to manually change it every time. Why does it do this? Why does it even do 140p its so bad u cant even watch it. Also the new update that gives you the option to control the speed of the video but not on my device... Then why show me the option? You people need to get these bugs worked out every update there are issues.

35 mpbs up and down tested repeatedly app cache and all data cleaned every other app removed from two separate phones so nothing could be to blame. Can not stream a 480p video for over 30 seconds without it lagging out. Horrible. YouTube is going down the toilet fast.... tablet lags while on Google fiber Wi-Fi.... this is day or night.....

I love this app SO MUCH, but I HATE the new update. My channel banner used to be a nice, bright aqua colour, but now it's a dark teal. Please, change that. I liked my old channel display better. Seriously, now I can't bear looking at my channel anymore. The colour is just hideous on it. Everything was so bright and great and then ALL OF A SUDDEN "BAM, DARK TEAL FOR YOU, RANDOM PEASANT!!" Oh, I see. Someone said it was too dark so you had to change it. Very well, I guess everyone else is just a peasant compared to that guy.

I don't know if it's my phone but it crashes too often and slows down and freezes a lot and it doesn't let me delete comments anymore like before which is real dumb. Please fix these issues and I'll give 5 stars.

Hate it i agree with people in this new update what's with all the white it's hurting my eyes, also give us a option to atleast change the color and a night mode aswell. Swipe feature is gone... what were you guys thinking!!! it's the mobile version that's necessary for a mobile app!! Fix these dam issues already

Which idiot thought it was a good idea to have channel notifications and comment notifications in the same page. It's so bloody stupid. First they removed the Google+ option which was stupid but understandable. Then they go and move them to the YouTube app which is annoying because you need to scroll through subscription notifications which is ridiculous. Just make comment notifications their own section because the way it currently is is just frustrating. For god's sake YouTube stop messing the app up. It was perfectly fine before why did you decide to ruin it

A year later and you still can't fix the very same buffering issue?!? Are you seriously going to add a factory app that doesn't even function appropriately? I've been using the PC build this whole time because the mobile version is always broken, but its to be expected if there's no competitor involved I guess.

For an older version The update is complete garbage. It buffers for like 5 minutes and then when the video finally turns on, it's just a black screen with audio. You guys need to step up your game for real. And honestly, the U.S probably doesnt have problems like everyone else is having because you guys only care for yourselves, and not others quality of your apps. Smh

You guys make enough money.. Get rid of those damn ads under every video (not the ones in the vids but in the app itself) . I x out of every single one. None make me want to buy anything. Annoying. Also to get a dark theme. And finally to be able to have YouTube run in the background while I do other things on my phone so I don't have to use an outside app just for that

Probably the most used app on my phone because of its greatness, but when are they going to apply compatibility for the huge galaxy s8/s8 plus screen. I want to watch videos using the full capability of my phone without having to worry about the borders of the screen being cut off.

I don't like this update because it just make YouTube even worst. Whenever I tap one video, it just stuck there and there is a issue about the audio and the video. And also, please add some new colors other than some boring white and red.

I expect better from Google. What's up with the weird player? Keep the slider in line with the times please. I keep accidentally going to the end of the video when I mean to press fullscreen. I HATE the bottom bar. It's horrible. It should to be at the top and swipeable. If you are going to do this Google at least give us options. And why make the bottom bar white? It should be red. The whole app needs a dark theme. Even Google play movies has a dark theme. Do the developers of this app not use it? This is such a bad app. Android is too good for this app. Edit: and now the logo is ugly. The made the header white and uglier too!

People don't realise that this is the light theme they added, so dark theme will be added soon, instead of red and dark. Also Youtube I can see my subscriptions so STOP selling out and making me subscribe to random channels. I can't even see videos from those who I've subscribed to, you remove my dislikes but keep my likes, my comment from a youtube ad was deleted, it's just criticism. Thanks

The new white design looks visually awful and bland along with the new logo, and doesn't make sense when YouTube's play button icon is red along with "YouTube RED". The new tabs are just plain annoying and useless, and with the new update I get constant buffers and I know it's not my wifi. Please fix and take into consideration these things and I'll definitely change my review score.

Why did it have to get so bright. Don't get me wrong I love the app, but it would be better if you could change the theme from a lighter to a darker one. It is way to bright and the white just gets burned into my phone making it so I have to wait for it cool down snf disappear or else I have a whole bunch of stained images on my phone.

I feel like I was in psychiatric while looking on it. I must admit the app looks now awful. With that impact font in a logo and all weirdly white background it's similar to some garbage tabloid or buzzfeed.

The new logo sucks. The font is way too squeezed and bolded. Also, the red is too bright. The lack of a dark mode and the poor communication between YouTube and the creators doesn't help. It sometimes feels like YouTube wants us to stop using it.

The latest update is filled with irrelevant ads on the Home page, before watching videos, and now underneath the video's information section. The update also does not allow me to use YouTube full screen on my Galaxy S8. YouTube is still a great service, but the ads and no full screen video are almost deal-breakers. It's almost like they're forcing people to transition to YouTube Red.

The app crashes when I try to watch the chanell "everyday struggle" and its weird because its just on a specific chanell...not on all. The app and video starts lagging and crashing and welp...it ends up kicking me out. So ill just leave a 4 star instead of exaggerating over a little bug. :)

This new UI is so ugly and almost unusable, in addition to the fact that it's constantly changing, why is it not using Material Design UI like before. Videos work well for the most part but UI hinders the enjoyment of browsing and using.

The layout of the search bar in the new update makes it look old especially the bold YouTube sign. It has to change this layout it does not look modern and its really ugly. to make people like it better ,make YouTube customizable😊

The new update ruined it. Everything is blindingly white and the interface is so inconvenient and hard to interface with. I preferred it without the stupid update. I can hardly use this app anymore. Hopefully they see the people's responses and change the format back.

Hate the new design. Why you want to keep navigation bar at the bottom. And reduce the content window. Now actual viewable content is a sandwiched between top and bottom bars :( & what happen to swipe to switch between tabs ??

I think YouTube is a great way to watch videos on the go but I'm not keen on he new interface and layout in this update. I think before it had a sleek style but it's now all bulky. I still find that YouTube is amazing and I use it every single day.

Stop making it too simple already !!! Wth ?!! All white ? So swiping between the options anymore ? The old version was fine. Why in the hell did you want to change ? To make it more clean and convenient ?? It already was when you changed it ! It sucks now. So pale white. The font is boring. The interface is boring. The swipe is gone. Give us the old version !!

Up until now I haven't needed to post about this app. YouTube has been extremely reliable on my devices. That being said; Can we get a background color option as others have mentioned? That's the only downside to this app. The redesign of the layout on mobile was unnecessary, but not bothersome. Also, the pop-up to purchase YouTube Red is a tad annoying, but I can deal with it.

There is little to no colour and you can't swipe between pages. The changes were really unnecessary. I will give you a point with fixing vertical videos, but that's about all you did that we (or at least I) liked about the update.

Not as easy to navigate as the previous version, cant swipe to change between tab (home, trending,library,etc). Download for offline cannot be set to always ask unless keep unchecking remember my setting everytime downloading.

With this latest update, my phone can no longer playback 60fps videos. Vídeos that used to look smooth and flawless, now struggle to keep said smoothness on certain parts and other videos simply don't look 60fps at all. Each update this app get worse and worse. Why do companies always ruin apps that used to work perfectly with unnecessary changes like these?

Give us the ability to swipe videos away if I'm not interested. I'd like to be able to clear out my subscription section like this. Its also growing into a busy and cluttered app. Some simplification would be nice at this point. Also, picture on picture mode for Red subscribers only? That's a shame.

So much disappointed on the new updates. Sliding between pages were the best thing now we have to click on different pages it's time consuming. The white doesn't look good it looks like a cheap version of YouTube. It doesn't feel smooth it feels sturdy and slagin.
