Is this the iPhone 7? Site claims to have first images of Apple's next handset - which could dump the headphone socket have a radical new dual camera
- Instead headphones jacks, users will connect via the Lighting dock port
- iPhone 7 will not have dual lens, just iPhone 7 Plus
- Smart Connector can hitch to ports on the bottom of the 7 Plus
- Images released today show features not listed in last week's renders
It could be the first glimpse of Apple's iPhone 7.
A Chinese site has posted images of a gold handset, claiming they are the handset Apple is expected to reveal in September.
The leaked images show a different design with a laser autofocus module between the camera and the LED flash and the 'shame of Apple' - the camera bump.

New images from Weibo, a Chinese microblogging site, gives iOS users a much clearer idea of what to expect with the iPhone 7. It shows the rear view of a gold handset and what stands out the most is the antenna bands have been moved closer to the top and bottom edges of the smartphone
What is different from last week’s renders and today’s image is that the metal ring is shown around the camera lens to protect the outside. This suggest Apple hasn’t figured out a way to cover up the shame it released with the iPhone 6 line – the camera bump and that the renders may not be that spot on
The pictures show a rear view of a gold handset and what stands out the most is the antenna bands have been moved closer to the top and bottom edges of the smartphone, reports MobiPicker.
There also appears to be a laser autofocus module placed between the camera and LED flash.

Previous renders of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus reveal Apple could ditch the headphone jacks for both variants and the 7 Plus might be designed with a ‘superior’ dual lens camera.
The exclusive renders were sourced on behalf of uSwitch by @OnLeaks, Steve Hemmerstoffer of Nowwhereelse.fr, which originated from Apple subcontractor Catcher Technology.
Without the traditional headphone jacks, users would connect via the Lighting Dock, which is shown at the bottom of the phone.
And there are rumors that Apple is developing wireless headphones of its own, but nothing has been confirmed.
The firm is also said to be overhauling the smartphone’s camera and replacing it with a dual lens that takes ‘DSLR quality’ pictures.
But unfortunately, iPhone 7 owners will only have access to the traditional single lens.
In the images, both variants are shown bulging from their casing like the previous iPhone 6 handsets, but what sets them apart is the metal ring around the lens is missing.
And interestingly enough, the tech giant has added a port that allows users to connect a Smart Connector in the back – but only with the 7 Plus.
There are other rumors floating around that Apple might offer support for new accessories with the Plus, as well as existing iPad Pro add-ons like the Smart Keyboard.
New renders of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus confirm what most iOS owners have speculated. Leaked blueprints of the handsets reveal Apple could ditch the headphone jacks for both variants and the 7 Plus will have a ‘superior’ dual lens camera
One rumor has been debunked, which suggest there will be a single speaker instead of the dual speaker setup users had hoped for.
But one thing that has stayed consistent is the dimension of both models, which were first revealed last year.
The iPhone 7 picture suggests it will be 138.30x67.12x7.1mm and the iPhone 7 Plus measures 158.22x77.94x7.3mm.
New images from Weibo, a Chinese microblogging site, gives iOS users a much clearer idea of what to expect with the iPhone 7.
This suggest not only are the renders not correct, but Apple hasn’t figured out a way to cover up the 'shame' it released with the iPhone 6 line – the camera bump.
According to reports, the iPhone 7 will have a 3,100mAh battery, which is 12.5 percent bigger than the iPhone 6S Plus.
But although your phone will stay powered longer, it could also mean the casing around it could be thicker.
What could be very exciting for iOS users is that Apple might be fixing the annoying ‘there is not enough available storage…’ issue with a 256GB this year.
Another annoying feature is said to be on Apple's to-do list is strengthening the phone’s water-resistance.
This doesn't suggest the phone will be water-proof, but it could make a world of a difference if you drop it in liquid.

The Cupertino company is set to unveil the new variants in September and uSwitch reports the blueprints are about three to four months hold.
The images were also pulled from January’s testing stage, so the final product could still change from what is shown.
No set pricing has been released, but most argue it will be in the same ballpark as previous handsets – around $650.
